Our line of Innovator plows do share the same class of switch plow with Tatu (along with John Deere and others), however, there are a number of design and manufacturing differences between our plow and others. Our plow is designed and built in the USA using a solid spine of 8x8" 1/2" steel tubing. We believe this provides more durability and strength over the two 5/16" folded steel welded pieces that make up the spine on the Tatu (which is manufactured in Brazil). We also use 11" wide tires all around to provide "float" for the plow to achieve accurate depths up to approximately 21" instead of the standard 6" width of tire most other manufacturers use. We ve had this type of plough in the 80s in Germany- didnt have much success. It only works like shown in a very sandy soil. Heavy soils don't turn good with that thing

In this particular video, the Innovator 713 you see is plowing in the sandy soils of West Texas. In these soil conditions, the plow is able to dig down deep and actually turn the soil over. Some plows just dig and shove the soil over. Our plow actually turns it. This is the original model of our Innovator plow. You should visit our channel to see our updated Innovator 716 plow. We have videos showing its capability in cotton-stalk-embedded soils as well. Every tool has its use and we feel that the Innovator 716 is capable in most soil conditions. Thanks for the comment!

Actually, this soil produces some of the most sought-after cotton and peanuts in the world (as well as a variety of other crops such as pecans, peppers, watermelons, cantaloupes and more). The red dirt of West Texas is saturated with life. Our plows are ideal for soils like this as they dig deep and turn over moisture-rich soil just underneath the surface. There are many such areas throughout the United States and abroad.
