The guy it "Why" MV is actually related to the pre-track of "Why" called "Starlight". It's a light song, like B-side of "Why". This is where the guy was introduced.

taeyeon said she didnt connect to the lyrics of Four Seasons at first, but then she realized she could interpret the song as talking about her career. like she gave her whole life to her singing career but is wondering if she ever really liked singing. to her, its about her doubts and total commitment to her career

Fun fact: Taeyeon said "It's Fine" at the last part of the song wherein in the lyrics/song it is "It's Not Fine". Taeyeon confirmed it.

You're actually pretty close for the Why MV. You're correct about the bucket list. The whole MV is basically her experiencing things on her bucket list. The guy (Dean) she bumps into is a summer/vacation fling (you can watch more of that part from the Starlight MV) and at the end she parts with the memories of him. P.S. There's also a really out there interpretation of the MV where Taeyeon is a supposed alien and goes back to her planet at the end :D

"Fine" is the song that breaks the heart even when you're not in love or in a happy relationship. 😭 Also, your description of "Four Seasons" MV's feel is spot on! It does feel like a museum.

Many of TAEYEON's videos are artsy. But I do understand what you mean. Four Seasons was very simple but yes, elegant. Why is definitely a really fun Summer Bop. Fine makes it seem that the breakup was so devastating to her that she sees the entire world as if it's a crumpled piece of paper, it's messed up trash, corrupted, corroded. Nothing can ever be perfect again. I can relate to that myself. Innocence destroyed, eyes open to the actual reality of the harshness of the world. And I tear up every time at that one scene in Fine. You KNOW it's a BAD hurt when somebody just cannot hold it in an they break down at their professional job, in front of everybody at work. So, of course, I bet you will get a lot of requests for the song/ MV called "I". I just want to make SURE that it gets into these comments as well. That one is AMAZING and Anes is absolutely correct, Iconic! That is the song that initially got me into K-Pop, it's SO BEAUTIFUL! Admittedly I have not been into K-Pop for very long at all. There is a LOT that I don't know, I don't even know the right questions to ask. But I am getting there. I love your reactions. We have a very similar outlook. :)

This is gonna be long but wtv. I definitely agree with you on how Four Season's feel like a museum visit and the way they show two images in one panel sometimes! I really enjoy how static this mv is.The diashow parts definitely gives you the silent film vibe, as well as the random english subs lol. I feel like the static style and the prod design is also showing how their relationship was 'perfect'. Like, their love is so good it deserves to be in the museum LOL. Everyone came to see them in the museum. I feel like the four season's theme is mostly shown in the MV. I feel like the lyrics about giving them her winter and summer can also be interpreted as showing someone all the sides of you? Winter can be her being cold or not being in the best mood and summer her being hot and all gooey and cute and lovey-dovey. Like how someone can be hot and cold? I also really like the moving camera on the one scene with the couple backdrop, because for the first time we see our view moving and the lights were too! It felt like turmoil, it looked like it was restless? It felt restless? Or almost unsure of how or where to look/film Taeyeon? Anyway! This still totally fits if it's between Taeyeon and her music career. She's been doing it nonstop since 2007, even earlier. I guess that's just how I interpret everything in the MV and lyrics. Why really gives off the summer vibes :D God, she's the cutest here ;;. I like that it can be interpreted as a someone, a somewhere or a something. Doesn't that just make it the more relateable? This MV is best watched along her Starlight MV because it shows Dean (the dude) and how they met and parted. She did everything in her bucket list but still hesitate to leave; maybe she was hesitating to leave because she discovered that where she is currently isn't so bad? After she did her bucket list thing lol. Also, I feel like her next destination is to another person? Like she knows the other side is so good? The lyrics says a lot about this place that is so pretty and her being pulled into it? Like gravitating to it but is hesitating to be with this person? Dunno... could be anything really. The first part of Fine, where she's talking is on the phone. She was casually talking to him, "I did my hair yesterday. Changed the colour a bit and oddly, there was time remaining yesterday. No... How do you not know why I'm even talking to you right now? Okay. Be well." I feel like this was her calling him because she misses him? Or maybe the guy did something that upset her and this is her hinting for him to apologize about it or to talk about it. But gives up because apparently he doesn't feel the same way or doesn't know why she's calling him. The lyrics mentions that this is how they broke up, calmly saying be well(during the phone call). I feel like the amount of effects shows how messy someone can get after a break up or how messy it gets in your head with all the emotions. Like after the phone call and she went out, she began to see things differently, so unclear and how the signs were glitching. I also really like how some frames were cut in the end scenes (where the graffiti part is shown) like how disjointed someone can feel during a breakup/heartbreak. It felt like everything around her was becoming surreal. I specially like that out of body shots, so I totally agree with you on this. The lyrics also mentions about moving pointlessly, I think those shots really show that well. How her body just continues to move during her daily routine but it doesn't feel like she's there. I also think this shows how... alone she is now. This sets the mood of how you're only seeing her alone now and how the effects on the toothbrush and pillow (and guy) gives off the same theme. I just feel like everything about this video is so effective in showing us what the music wants to make us feel? It's not noticeable, but Taeyeon words It's Fine during her last line in the MV even if the lyrics were It's not Fine. To me this reflects to her trying to seem fine around other or on the outside. I feel like 11:11 would've been a better fit for this video, since WHY feels more complete with Starlight. Also because I really liked the transitions and cuts in 11:11 and I love that song. But I'm glad you enjoyed her music and MV.

Thanks for reacting to our queen TAEYEON. She received a lot of hate for nothing after dating Exo Baekhyun back in the days. Back then she was much brighter and happier, but the backlash of that dating was so heavy for both of them to the point that both of them had to apologize publicly to the public, and also Taeyeong got hit in the airport and got criticized heavily because of that for a year. Crazy stuff happened back then. I didn't want to open up about this topic, but it's good to know where these songs come from.

Oh wow that is so sad. I will never understand why idols are held to those “no dating” standards. And for it to escalate like that is just crazy, I didn’t know their relationship ended like that. As if a breakup in itself isn’t hard enough, to be ridiculed and treated like that by the public... shameful behavior 😕

Can't imagine how to pretend being ok when meet each other at the company after their break up.. But im happy for her now she deserved to be happy.. Omg was waiting for so long for a taeyeon reaction! I guess today is our lucky day, thank youuu for this! The first song ‘Four Seasons’ won last year daesang award which is insane for that to happen to a solo artist! It’s incredibly popular in sk. ‘Why’ is a summer bop which is connected to ‘Starlight’ (a feature with dean - he is the one that appears for 1 second in why mv). And ‘ Fine ‘ is a vocal sad song but i 100% recommend you checking out in your spare time her live version of fine concert in seoul - the first chorus is entirely accapella which is so hard to sing but she managed to make it sound even better than the studio version. Hoping for more taeyeon reactions. For the next round i would recommend checking out 1. ‘I’ her debut song and her most iconic probably, it’s about breaking free and finding yourself which is such a beautiful message + the mv is shot in new zeeland and it’s sooo beautiful. 2.’ I got love’ is taeyeon sexy killer vibes you absolutely need to see this and 3.’What do I call you’ her lastest comeback and a BOP also. (P.S: actually ‘Rain’ is one of my top favorites from taeyeon i can’t believe i forgot to add it.). Of course it’s all up to your friend to recommend you and i’m sure he’ll pick iconic and amazing ones!!

Taeyeon" something new" she is truly kiiller lol, and I also highly recommend you this song. The song talks about fighting against those who have wanted to hurt her, like haters or trolls. Everyone loves her bright side but did anyone notice her darker side behind her gorgeous face. This song is also an interesting music video that you can interpret.

First of all, YES, 4 SEASONS MV IS SUCH AN ART, it's aesthetically pleasing to watch. That MV is my most favorite from Taeyeon, both video and song wise. Secondly, WHY is one of my favorite songs of all time and i still have it on my playlist. AND YESSS IT'S A SUMMER VIBE AND I LOVE TO LISTEN TO IT WHENEVER I TRAVEL EVEN THO I'M A FALL PERSON. I think this MV is connected to starlight MV cuz it has the same set, it's a duet song of Taeyeon and a guy (i forget the name lol) Laslty, FINE is a break up song and i do think it's kinda similar to yoona's song, story line wise. But ofc i still enjoy it, it's such a great song.
