the 'cane' creating the bass note is a rifle -- fits the mood.

what’s even more spectacular is that it’s just him Kathy and Eli doing the lighting people sometimes assume there’s a whole team! ❤

I'm left wondering just what happened between this song and their deaths. Here they sound as if they are striving to remain honorable and yet in "Ghost Riders" they are punished to chase/corral the Devil's Herd. I really love Geoff's storytelling allowing us to continue the story in our heads. I get a little kick out his use of the rifle for percussion - a nod back to the tools in "16 Tons", but also that first real low note comes on the line "...Did I Hear You Break" I'm imagining new reactors who don't know Geoff, breaking when they hear it!

Loved your reaction to this one! Geoff has been hitting his solo projects out of the park. I’m not sure if you picked up on this, but the characters Geoff is portraying here are the same as the characters he used in Ghost Riders in the Sky video he did for Halloween 2 years ago. His concept was that this was the Riders before they died and became ghosts. This was filmed at Pattycake on a set that had not been used yet. Eli of course, stepped up to do the lighting which absolutely made this video. 😊

I agree that the lighting absolutely made this video! It's been a minute since I watched his Ghost Rider one so that's probably why I didn't pick up on the reference. I'm glad you enjoyed the video 😊👍

@@JeffreyHackReacts The guys are also a little less recognizable without the blue eyes. I knew ahead of watching that he said he was allowing them to sing before they became ghosts and still something looked 'wrong' to me. Took me at least 4 watches before I realized it was the dark eyes instead of bright blue. Shows just how much that blue helped sell the idea of 'ghosts' or at the very least a feeling of 'eerie'. Some folks at the time he recorded that video commented on the White Walkers look (from Game of Thrones)

@@JeffreyHackReactsyou must do a short of Geoff's ( commercial of coffee at Daryl's Cafe he is in full dress & character from Unshaken. His deep talking voice is amazing. I like how he was stirring his coffee with the gun.

Love that Geoff isn't here, he's letting the living Ghost Riders sing it.

So much of Geoff's work is something I've never heard. It doesn't matter, of course, because it's Geoff. He made a comment about Geoff on the left, that he was boring (something like that),so singing the baritone part that doesn't get flashy. In some of his pieces, like I See Fire, each Geoff sings a particular part/range. In others, for instance Folsom Prison Blues, the Geoffs don't seem to stay in any particular lane. This one seemed similar to me. My favorite "bit" in this one was the "Here we go". In almost every other one of his covers that would have been "C'mon" instead. Great reaction, as always!!

I do like this format. I think listening to the song first allows you to be surprised more by the song. With the video, there's like a split second where you have time to (possibly unconsciously) think about what he's going to do next. Without the visuals, you don't have that second.

He brought back the ghost riders from his Ghost Riders In The Sky video. This is before they died. Goff on the left has a rifle not a cane. Left to right.... Goff, Daryl (my favorite), Jeoph Jeff. These are the names of Geoff's clones 😊.

Geoff referred to this one as a beast because it has over 100 tracks. He filmed a commercial for Daryl's Cafe that was at the end of the Patreon release. He's since shared it on his social media. Fun stuff.

I love the fact that he said these are the Ghost Riders before they died, and he let them do this song without his supervision. I absolutely love this cover. I had to look up the original by D'Angelo, but this is far superior IMO. Those low notes rumble in my chest. Also, Daryl is the one in the Duster, and they are in front of Daryl's Cafe...lol. Great Reaction!

I asked Geoff why he didn’t split the song into voice parts for each of the characters, since he does that for most of his videos. He answered that this arrangement didn’t lend itself to breaking out parts, and that he had so many people thinking it was four different people that he wanted a bit more noticeable that it was just him singing.

These are the characters from Geoff's Ghost Riders, before they died. Maybe this is what killed them. :) I think his characters have more distinct sounds in I See Fire. Here it's not quite so distinct. At least two of them have the really low voices. In Ghost Riders only Jeoff, the one with the wicked moustache, has the really deep voice. That "cane" is a rifle if I'm not mistaken.

Geoff got the boys back together. This is them before they became the Ghost Riders In The Sky. L to R we have Goff, Daryl, Jeoph, and Jeff. We don't get Geoff here. He will be back in the next one. That's not a cane but a rifle.

If forced to guess I'd say Jeff tends to go a little higher, while Jeoph often gets 2nd lead and lower parts. Darryl does whatever he wants. Goff seems to be more midrange support? Hard to say because when it comes down to it, being clones of Geoff they can all do a little of everything.

As a so-called "filmmaker" that you claim to be, you should know that you need to output the video's audio directly into your stream, instead of recording the audio from your speakers/headphones. You are an amateur.
