FilmEU_RIT Summit 2024 - Tallinn, Estonia

Ойын-сауық

Last April, Tallinn University hosted the third annual FilmEU_RIT Summit. This year's summit was particularly exciting as it also included a conference on neurocinematics, organised by the Artistic Research and Cognitive Film Studies pilot project. The joint event featured three expert keynote speakers and over 40 individual and group presentations.
Besides the main program which focused on presenting the final results of FilmEU_RIT pilot projects, the summit hosted 13 work package meetings and was accompanied by several side events, including the C-Accelerate seminar, CresCine seminar, and the CILECT meeting. Also, emphasising the importance of educational involvement, the program included presentations by PhD candidates, who received detailed feedback from experienced scholars. Interaction between senior researchers and younger scholars highlights the summit’s role as an incubator for academic development and collaboration. The preceding NeuroCine conference and the summit welcomed collectively more than a hundred international guests from 20 different countries, making it a global forum for innovative research in film and media.
For those who couldn’t attend in person or wish to revisit the discussions, the recordings are available on Vimeo.
