Totally small detail but actually really happy he included sign language. It’s an under appreciated for of communication and cultural connection that deserves recognition. I’m studying to be an American Sign Language Interpreter and I can’t quantify the amount of times I’ve had someone say “what’s that” when I tell them my major. Small detail but means a lot. He’s able to do that with the Reality Stone. It can make it much easier for him to snap his fingers by making the friction equal to the human hand. Thanos is also established as the toughest being in the universe and has the power stone for the force.

Imagine if infinty war ended not with a snap, but with a middle finger.

There actually is one logical reason that he could snap like that. One part of the gauntlet is the Reality Stone, which of course lets you manipulate reality. Something as simple as adjusting the air movements slightly would be much easier than what happened on Knowhere, so the actual source of Thanos' snapping sound is just that he shifts the air using the stone. Or it could be the Space Stone just as easily; I'm not totally sure, but the one enabling teleportation makes just as much sense for something based on air movements.

Try using the palm of your other hand to cover up your cone while in the snapping hand position. This stops the air coming out of your cone when you snap. It works (Just backing u up matpat)

You are only forgetting that the sound of the "snap" is not necessarily what causes half the universe to be destroyed, technically the movement and the power of the infinity stones is all he needs

I'm no Marvel comics expert. But I think I remember hearing or reading that the snap isn't necessary, like anyone can control the powers of the gauntlet with just their mind. No physical action is required to activate powers. We even see that in the film. He uses singular stones without doing any form of physical requirement, just thinking of what he wants the stone's powers to do for him. The snap itself is just flair, showing "I can control everything in life with a simple gesture like this" like a form of showboating. When in Marvel reality. He could have done it by just thinking about wiping away half the universe.

He literally could do anything and it would work. It doesn’t need to be a snap or make a noise. He could clap, but the point is to show off how powerful he is by making an incredibly simple gesture. He doesn’t actually need to move.

This vid was how i Learnt how to snap. Mattpatt does not only teach us everything we don’t need to know but still want to but allso simple things you could never do

I love how he says that figuring out if someone can snap in a glove I meant gauntlet is essential.

Except there wasn't really a snapping sound, so he really just did the gesture itself. Also, the act of destroying half the universe doesn't REQUIRE the snap, he uses it as a gesture and wills the stones to act. And let's not forget, he harnesses the power of the building blocks of the universe... I think he can disregard science.

the thing is when use the reality stone argument you open yourself for alot more questions like , if infinity stones are so strong and "magical" that it makes the gauntlet make the snap sound why couldn't it just make the wearer kill half the people just by thinking it ? why it have to be a snap ? it can change the physics but it can't change how it activates ?
