Since a lot of people are asking about the Far From Home finale, two things we factored in but didn't expressly write into the episode: 1. Across BOTH MCU movies, Peter's use of the Spider Sense is inconsistent, just like the other Spidermen. Writers tend to "forget" that it exists when they need to put Spider-Man in danger, and so sure, Tom Holland ends the movie having "mastered" the sense, but we have no evidence that he'll be able to continue using it from this point forward (and we guessed he probably won't, because it'll make him too OP if he can predict EVERY move headed his way). We have to go by what we've seen...and his sense up until the end of FFH hasn't been great. 2. Yes, he "masters" the Spider Sense at the end, but is it giving him faster reactions times? He's able to SEE THROUGH THE ILLUSIONS of Mysterio...which helps him avoid bullets and avoid the gun...but his REACTION TIME is still on par with the other Spidermen (at least when it comes to avoiding LOTS of bullets, which they all can do). It gave him better intuition. So again, largely a wash when compared to the other portrayals of the character. Don't get me wrong...Tom Holland is my FAVORITE Spider-Man. But FFH didn't give us the confidence that the Spider Sense was that much better than anyone else's. As such, when it comes to power set, in our estimation, Miles in Spiderverse still wins. But like I said, it's a theory. There are TONS of ways to analyze the question. I'm really enjoying reading everyone's thoughts on the issue -- keep 'em coming!

Would EDITH count as a suit? Because if it just counts as a gadget then drones would be pretty useful for this fight, especially those that can turn invisible. Plus instant kill is on his normal suit, not just the iron spider one.

@@munchielitten5961 Not quite accurate. Miles proved he was stronger than Peter by doing something Peter failed. Peter DIED when the King Pin hit him with a full force double axe handle. Miles survived it, and had more than enough stamina to take out KP and save the multiverse. With Peter being a near clone of Peter B, Matt's conclusion makes sense.

@@Zacurafire He does have the ability of turning invisible and shocking people but it's already been established that he struggles with controlling it. He's also not as strong or smart as Peter, although an argument can be made that Miles is far faster than Peter. In the comics we see time and time again that Miles becomes a nervous mess in key moments which simply does not occur with someone as experienced as Peter. Mat cites their confrontation of the movie as evidence that Miles is a better fighter but leaves out the fact that Peter has been fighting for far longer than Miles has, not to mention that Peter in this universe is no longer a young and fit college student but an out of shape dad bod in his mid to late thirties. Regardless of who is your favorite spiderman, Toby has a better theme song than Miles which already sets him up as the best SpiderMan hands down.

Even though this theory is good in some parts there are errors. 1. With the web shooters Tom only used his normal web-slinging and gliding. Even with more options he does not use them. (Also, Tom's gliding did not look to be much faster than regular swinging, though correct me if I am wrong.) 2. With Tobey's train scene the train kept on accelerating past 80, with top speeds between a transportation train being 125-150mph most likely the train was going at least 100+. Also, the train was not just at one speed and was pulled to be slowed down, it was trying to also speed up. (Proof: We only got to see it at 80 but the bar clearly was rising past it toward the last frames.) 3. With Andrew saving the people from Electro you forgot to include the distance and reaction between him saving the people and dealing with the car. 4. Tom can fight with his eyes closed (proven from FFH final fight scene.) That makes Miles Morale's invisibility useless against him. Otherwise, I am pretty sure everything else can be backed up by what you said.

Best part of no way home is when they acknowledge the fact Toby's webs are natural

i think he didn't count that movie because, in Far From Home, Tom never wore his basic suit. It was either civilian clothes, his black stealth suit, or the iron spider suit.... I think? I'm not sure about the suit he made at the very end, whether it counts as his basic suit or not. But then again, if you think about it, the whole "it only counts if they're wearing their basic spider suit" rule seems silly because Tom's basic spider suit was always made by Stark and thus always ten billion times better than Toby's and Andrew's even Miles's all put together. Just by virtue of having Stark building his stuff for him made him have WAY better equipment and suits than any of the Spidermen ever had. If MatPat really wanted an "equal" comparison, he probably should have compared their powers when wearing civilian clothes or those handmade ski-mask suits that had no added perks besides hiding their identities.

i think that would be classified as part of the iron spider suit, which was established wouldnt be accounted for in this (as lets face it, tom hollands regular suit is so outfitted by stark, to have any of the other tech would make it far too easy)

2 issues: A: the reason SP-DR got taken out is because it took fire for Noir B: Peter Tingle could theoretically counter invisibility, as he used it in the final confrontation with Mysterio

Pretty sure it depend on plot armor or just how strong do the director wants them to be

I feel like ham has a chance though, his confrontation with the live actions would go one of two ways. Either the wacky cartoon logic applies and ham is guarenteed the win or because hams in the real world he plays by it’s rules, in which case the other spidermen will be serving him up for dinner

On your side, he also said spider Gwen didn’t beat Peter in into the spiderverse which I would argue she definitely did, but on his side, I’d say miles got the ambush because of his camouflage power so it should count cause it wasn’t a surprise based win it was an ability win. And plus Miles Morales is canonically stronger than peter Parker.

@@ZeusEBoy Not true, at least if you are going with canon, meaning the original aka, Comic spidey. Both Spidey and Spidey 2099 are physically stronger and faster than Miles. Miles has more powers but canonly is not quite as strong or fast. However, he is stronger than the Ultimate Spidey which is the universe Miles is from, but the 616 (Original) Spidey is stronger than Ultimate spidey by quite a bit. Which is ironic, because Ultimate Spidey's villains are almost all stronger than their 616 versions. It is weird, and comics are weird. Note, none of this reflects on the movies variations, just the canon (Originals) for the characters.

SPOILERS FOR FAR FROM HOME You said Tom Holland has no real scenes of spider sense in the MCU? What about the end fight scene, with the drones against Mysterio?

I think people mistake the FFH plot of Peter using his spider sense as him discovering it, when if you paid attention he already knows he has some sort of sixth sense but it hasn't been working properly since he blipped back.

Yeah, but it didn't make him able to, say, predict movements, or see a few seconds in the future, like some iterations of the spider sense have, and it definitely won't stop electricity, especially since his power seems inconsistent. Even at the end, he only is able to do it for a few seconds at best.

And the instant kill mode is available in his basic suit along side with the rest of the combos as a scene in Homecoming shows the suit activating instakill mode, but Peter deactivating it. Thus instakill mode is included. (or should be at least)

About the boat vs the train scene, you gotta remember how much webbing they used to complete the hold. Tom Spiderman had to use over a hundred to do it for 6 seconds and still fail. Tobey Spider-Man only used 14 to bring the train to a COMPLETE stop without outside help. Remember the webbing in homecoming is taking 90%of the ACTUAL strain of the act here, unlike Spider-Man 2 where Tobey Spiderman is the complete anchor holding the webbing to get the strain to stop. So 10% is 3100000 for 6 seconds which is still pretty impressive.

Another thing is that the only reason he actually failed is because he missed a web. Otherwise, he would have pulled the ferry together and had his webs keep it working

That's what I was thinking, he was able to dodge a bullet at point blank from his side without being able to see where it was coming from in his line of sight, even if it wasn't cloaked.

It sounds a lot like Death Battle, where one feat that someone clearly didn’t do the physics on or threw in for a gag, just blows any other feats out of the water. Is Miles strong? 14:38 Yeah I’m not a supporter of that. Considering the fact that Tobey Maguire Spider-Man shoots organic webbing. Whereas Jake Johnson Spider-Man has a web shooter.

I wonder if the portrayal of Spider-Sense in NWH takes Toms score up a notch, given that he’s now canonically the only Spider-Man to actually have near-premonitions of future events as opposed to a heightened awareness of one’s surrounding or a slower perception of time.

If it’s off pure “spidey ability” then making web fluid doesn’t count as an “ability” but Mcguires innate ability to make web fluid in his body Also find it hard to believe that it’s easier to stop an over speeding train in only 46 seconds than holding 2 halves of a ferry but I don’t know the maths
