Another possible explanation on the reason why Jerry said "a long time friend" is because this is not Rick and Morty's(C-137) original dimension so there is a possibility where they met Mr. Poopybutthole a long time ago in this dimension.

I always thought Mr PBH was a fourth-wall-breaking meta-parasite in the minds of us, the audience. 1. He appears in the intro making you go "was this guy always there?" How many of us went back and watched previous intros because we doubted our own memories? 2. We only have good memories of him. 3. He can't be killed by the characters in the episode because he's in our minds, not theirs (also explains why he can watch the show with us). 4. Now he's a canonical character who we're all willing to accept has always been around. I honestly thought that was the whole point of the episode. Am I the only one who thought that? Anyway thanks for making these videos, they're a great way to get even more enjoyment out of Rick and Morty episodes!

I think Mr. poopy butthole is like Tom Bombadil from lord of the rings. He is just an inconspicuous, extremely powerful and relatively unknown entity. He is fun loving and doesn’t have some grand ulterior motive but instead just lives his life observing. I don’t think that he is ever meant to be fully understood, he is just supposed to be accepted, mystery and all.

He's both of them. The top hat is like a clip that keeps them bound together. He's a product of a sort of RaM alchemy. My first thought was that he was a queen parasite because like you said it was obvious he started the whole parasites multiplying thing in the beginning. @@johnhecker4396 haven't seen the new episode, but my point was more that lizard Morty was a bad example but there were other good examples that not all Morty's are equal, there was the Eric Stoltz Mask Morty who is also physically different, then the cop Morty and evil Morty prove that Morty's can have dominant personalities as well. There's also drama Morty who demonstrates that Rick's experiment on Morty's, so who's to say that Mr Poopybutthole isn't a genetic experiment Morty, maybe a cross between the parasites and a Morty? Just plenty of other actual parallels to draw besides a single Rick turning his Morty into a lizard.

To clarify: in the poop in my pants book, the couples photo of the nasty slime version exists not cuz they both went to the treatment themselves, but it was caused when the evil slime Rick flipped the switch and caused the entire planet to revert into their slime form. Thus the photos are taken immediately upon the event occurring then receding (since the last photo in the photo strip is once again normal). Thxsss

@@ateez_stan777 The galactic federation is the government rick dismantled by making their currency worthless. They have a giant spaceship that is united with a bunch of planets. It's kind of like how America has states that have unified to form a country. A year is the time it takes for an object to revolve around the sun. The space station could be closer to the sun causing it to revolve around the sun faster. 15ish revolutions for the Earth could mean 40 revolutions on the galactic federation's space station. Making Summer 40 years old but also 15. In the video, Matpat is speculating a different universe in which everyone looks like Mr.Poopybutthole. The school has the galactic federation flag because the Earth joined the federation and adopted their calendar.
