The other team played with a wet ball too...🤔🤔🤔 Give the defense it's credit... It doesnt have the lowest total yards defensively since the 1970's for nothing... & that includes the Bears defense of 85 & Ravens defense of 00...💯💯💯

I gave this comment a thumbs up. I generally agree, HOWEVER...I remember the Bears defense of 1985. I've never seen anything like it, before or since. I love my Browns, and the defense is really impressive. The individual athletes are great, and the statistics show that they are highly effective. BUT...the Bears '85 defense just CRUSHED teams. Maybe it was the league just not being able to respond to 8 in the box...or whatever, but that team just ate their opponents alive. The Browns D is damned good...but they ain't there...yet, stats be damned.

@@josephkingsley8708 well, I can’t find the minute mark for the comparison, but I’ll say this about that. That Bears team is from 38 years ago. Most of the people viewing this have no memory of watching that team. And, secondly, given that, the comparison is being made regarding the current Browns defense statistically. My point is, while I am proud of my Browns and these stats, this is one example where the numbers don’t give a clear picture. As such, my statement stands. The ‘85 Bears team was the single most dominant football team I have ever seen. Secretariat was similarly dominant. Bob Gibson as a pitcher was similarly dominant. I can’t think of any team that just pulverized the competition like that Bears team.

With all the shifts and motions in the 49ers offense, he can gather enough data before the play starts to figure out what the coverage is most of the time. Against man coverage, Purdy can't know pre-snap where to throw the ball, because he doesn't know which of his offensive weapons will win their route and get open. Against man, Purdy has to stand in the pocket, hold the ball a bit longer and read the field. Against zone, he has the answers to the test before it begins. Teams with elite defensive fronts, and corners who can press, will do exactly that, even with Deebo in the game, because Deebo and Ayuk are many things; fast is not run of them. Corners don't have to worry themselves about getting beat deep. Their only concern should be slants and crossing routes. San Francisco's offense uses a lot of window dressing, but if you're simply covering your man, all the misdirection becomes pointless. San Francisco's offense relies on defenses choosing to play zone. Teams with the personnel to play press-man and pressure the quarterback can wreck the Niner's offense. It just so happens, they are about to face a group of them, in the Jaguars, Seahawks, Ravens, and Eagles. I wouldn't be shocked if the Jaguars and Seahawks pull off upsets, and the Ravens and Eagles flat-out blow the 49ers away.

Go study his game...He literally folded SF DE Jackson like a pretzel, then smooshed him into the turf for good measure. JONES was getting out in space and playing with Warner like a toy, completely blowing him out 15 yards from where he need to be. He straight up manhandled BOSA all game long in pass protect. You could tell by Bosa's post game presser that he was dejected and discouraged by the experience. The 4th and 4 conversion -JONES, the TD that was called back by refs - again made possible by JONES work. He dispelled all questions that he can't work in space against the best.

On the CMC run you showed. I was watching Kittles reaction.. he was mad at himself he missed his block on the guy that blew the play up. If he makes that block perhaps Christian is able to turn upfield instead of going OB. It was just that kind of game. First play of the game BA drops a pass off his fingertips - even if the pass was not perfect he usually catches everything near him. I had a bad feeling after that because we haven’t seen that even once this year. Nothing seemed to go right, with calls, dropped passes. Disappointed we got nothing out of that Fred Warner pick. I was thinking we needed to run that all the way in but of course the QB catches up and trips him up- saves a TD. After all that we still had the game in our hands. Watch the Cleveland players on the sideline, sitting there a little down expecting that kick to be good like we all did. We have seen in the NFL thats almost a done deal. 9 out of 10 times that goes.

just stop, cut the bs. we forced more turnovers and we were more dominant on defense battling the piss poor officiating as well as Cleveland's offense. The game was *Over* on that 4th down incomplete pass that the officials flagged for no reason and even after that Purdy drove them down and put them in position to win but the kicker missed. The kicker missed the game winning kick. Period. cut the narratives, cut the bullsh*t already.

You can't blame it all on Moody. Yes, he should have made the kick, but everything went wrong and the whole team weren't good. Sticking a 60 min game on 1 kick just isn't fair, but he has to learn from this. Aiming dead centre when there's natural spin on the ball + wind isn't something a kicker should be doing, he should know better.

@@johnbull1568 we can blame it all on Moody and we will. you were drafted at that pick to Make Those Types Of Kicks. Accountability. Period. whether it's fair or not is irrelevant. do you see/hear bitching about officials constantly? Nope. because after aaaaallll that we were still in position to win the game and our kicker missed. that's it, there's nothing more to it. the narratives & regurgitated bullshit going around is for sheep.
