I'm 49. Been a 49er fan my entire life. It may seem "early" but I truly believe this is the best 49er team in the history of the 49ers and I'm so excited I'm watching it all go down. Time will tell. Either way, what an amazing, selfless team! We've seen players crying and even their family get involved in media hype over not being passed to or whatever. OBJ is a perfect example. Right now Kittle could be complaining that he hasn't seen 7 passes per game. The man doesn't care. Nor does any other player. The team effort is on everyone's mind. The ultimate goal is team and they will prevail.

There are a number of things I see in Brock Purdy… He is calm in the pocket and brave. He will stand in until the very last second to make a play even if he knows he will get hit. There is never any sense of panic. His throws always seem to be on time and almost always 100% accurate which his receivers must love as he never hangs them out to dry. Whenever he throws into a tight window the ball always seems to be at a good height, in front of the receiver, so they can catch it and get down or prepare for contact. Finally, he is mobile enough, he will scramble if he sees that is the best option but generally he stays in the pocket and goes through his progressions. He has also shown, especially in this recent game against AZ that he can stretch the field. It isn’t only dink and dunk, he has enough arm strength to get the ball deep. In short, he plays like a ten year veteran and he hasn’t had a full season yet. That, to my mind, is the sign of a special talent.

What I see in Brock is confidence, accuracy, ability to scramble, ability to throw on the run. I am getting tired of the "great game manager' reference or the fact that the 49ers are "stacked'' so that's why Brock is so good. Ultimately, the QB has to deliver wins. Brock was blitzed during the Jets game and remained poised. He is so exciting to watch because he is exceeding all expectations on him. YES!!! I believe in Brock. If he didn't go down with the injury during the Eagles game, the 49ers may have won the NFC championship and the Super Bowl. What was truly amazing was that he when back in to finish that game despite having a torn ligament knowing full well we he could not throw the ball. MAD RESPECT for this young, humble, QB.

It's just sad that there are so many people out there just waiting for a bad game (and he WILL have bad games, just like everyone else), so they can point the finger and say "See, he sucks" ... After all, there is a reason her earned his spot on the roster and earned the right to be our franchise QB. I am just happy that we are having a good, solid QB and the scary thing is, there is still room for improvement. I just hope he can stay healthy !

The most important quality for an NFL quarterback is not arm strength or even intelligence - it is to be a leader of men. There are numerous ways to demonstrate and orchestrate leadership and Purdy has done that. McCaffery even listed "swag" as one of Purdy's qualities. If you can have swag as the last pick in the draft - and then back it up - folks are going to follow you.

After the first few games last year I already could see Brock Prudy being the "Franchise" Quarterback. My only doubt was if Trey Lance was going to be pushed back into the #1 spot because they invested so much into him, but by the end of the season, Franchise was already cemented. These doubts are only there because of what harbaugh did to Alex Smith. So as much video of the 49ers you watch, why do you have a "might be" in your breath?

Would be first pro baller and fqb since the early 2000. For me it is more important the team wins and feels good than any player awards or player titles. In the end i can tell you that he will get expensive as hell if he keeps this going 2 more years.

I knew Brock Purdy was a Corvette for the future, when you played against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and I knew the greatest trade that we’ve ever done mid season in the history of football is Christian McCaffrey, I knew Christian McCaffrey was a bad man when I watched him in Stamford I’ve been to San Francisco 49ers fantasize five I am now 65. Watched lotta football and I played and I won one thing he’s the main man Purdy, the quarterback and Christian McCaffrey bar. None is the best player and MVP of the league watch and see it will happen bar any injuries.

I know it sounds all pat now but seriously - that first snap: I expected something else - I expected: nervous skittish - & big fat NOPE & the next & the next Now - how can the 9ers deal with that - here's this dude, doing it, against the odds, just damn there & doing it: so: what's YOUR excuse, lol??? BTW - talking about his very first snap after JimmyG went down....

The writing was on the wall last season. He has nothing to prove he does exactly what the coaches ask. Everyone is demanding things such as adversity and can he come back and can he March down field I want to see it now now now lol. Greatness doesn’t happen over night. Can we allow the season to progress and ease up ? Real football fans who know it all just annoy me so much , if your a fan of the game than you can not hate on anything Brock Purdy does. Only petty crybabies are doing it. Just venting lol

You can't win 'em all. Let the team lose two in a row, as a team effort, not Purdy flailing, and then see what the talk is. That will be a reality check. Full Disclosure: I'm really struggling in my own mind to not just anoint him as the second coming of Joe Montana, even though, realistically, it's too soon. A lot of chickens just ain't hatched yet.

I don't agree with this - you get what you see & Brock got it a plenty - he has something that no other 23 year old QB has - & that's a word that should be better than 'poise' - because you cannot teach it & he has got it.

He’s the guy and we know it, but you still have to play the game and compete every week to reach your goal. We have to beat every team that we are supposed to and in the end we know who will be there, probably Dallas first and then the Eagles. Then if we are lucky enough (and healthy enough) to run the gauntlet the Chiefs will likely be waiting with Taylor Swift. He’s the guy and we can be special but we still have to play each game and deliver the goods.
