    As a Mizzou fan I remember when he was our OC. All I can say is Heupel makes your offense really fast and explosive, that's why he's a great offensive mind. But it definitely causes some defensive suffering. You have to win a lot of shootouts.

    The crucial thing for Heupel's success if his offense works if for him to have an upper echelon Defensive Coordinator and S+C coach. Defense will need to be conditioned for going the distance.

    The only problem I have is the lack of all-22 college film as most pass plays are hard to break down due to TV camera restrictions. NFL is much easier as the NFL actually offers that type of film for a price.

    It's an interesting offense. It looks like basketball on grass. Definitely looks fun to play in. Quick game and run game will have major success. Tennessee should be fun to watch. Its almost like Art Briles offense with Baylor, his veer and shoot concept in the passing game with super wide outside recievers and the power inside zone/ RPO/ true option in the run game. Definitely going to watch hopefully Tennessee turns it around, college ball is always better when the volunteers are good.

    Hey -- nice breakdown. It's a wonder Heupel's record went down three seasons in a row, considering you'd think this sort of system would be easier to run/ more effective with players the staff recruits based on expected fit. May I ask what software you use to make these? I use Snagit for chopping up videos for basketball, but it doesn't have the telestration capabilities I see you using here.

  • @PlaybookGamer

    @PlaybookGamer

    2 жыл бұрын

    His records going down at UCF scares people but not me. Heaven forbid a coach goes 10-3 in his second year, just shows it's never good enough for some fans. And his last year had every loss within a touchdown so it's not like they were getting blown out. And last year was weird year for everyone anyways. I use a combo of DaVinci Resolve for my video editing and PowerPoint to make the telestrations. I take images from the raw video of where I want drawings and move that image to PP to add drawings and add it back to the video. I never knew SnagIt could be used like that. I always thought it could take screen shots and stuff.

  • @_NicoSuave_

    @_NicoSuave_

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@PlaybookGamer oh, absolutely. Like you said, last year was very odd. It’s just something that sticks out as atypical when you look at his UCF numbers. Snagit basically just lets me trim a whole video I’m watching down into snippets of individual plays. Thanks for the information - I’ll look into it. Looking forward to more of your content!

    @@_NicoSuave_ Yeah, Heupel's offense gets all of the attention but people forget you have to play defense too. My bad, I was thinking about SnipIt, not SnagIt. Yeah, DaVinci Resolve gives me every type of video editing feature I need for free. It's just not good with adding drawings so I use PP for that.

    Should be much different than what we've had the past three years, thank God. I'm a little concerned about how our running backs will handle blocking those sec linebackers to protect the qb and how accurate our qb can throw those deep balls and fade routes.

    Thankfully the ball gets out quick on most pass plays, deep or short, in this offense. I'm actually really excited to see how our HBs do this season and beyond. This offense really lets all skill players shine. Jabari Small and Dee Beckwith should be fun to watch.

    Only thing I disagree with... 1 safety ball goes inside (signifies either cover 1 or cover 3) , 2 safties - ball goes outside (signifies cover 2 or cover 4). Man coverage typically will go to your inside because he will get a much cleaner release due to not having a side line to stay inside of.

  • @PlaybookGamer

    @PlaybookGamer

    3 жыл бұрын

    Yeah, I disagree with that as they'll throw a lot of deep balls outside the hashes and doing that against Cover 2/4 doesn't make sense. But every coach is different so we'll see.

  • @lslaforlet42

    @lslaforlet42

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@PlaybookGamer cover 4 still goes outside most of the time because your corners and safeties are bailing out and all of the help (linebackers) are inside. With cover 2 your corners are basically always sitting in a low to mid zone so a deep ball will always go outside.
