one of my all time favourite movies. I grew up in West Germany and this movie was reasonably accurate as to how things were in Berlin at the time. The movie made me want to join the RMP and infact pushed me to become fluent in German and take a life long interest in Hess. so thanks and cudos

No one is sure whether Burton was going to be more like Scott Glen or Edward Fox in the film. Fox was brought in at the last minute. Which meant it was Glen's mission.

A massive flop sadly. Heard Lewis Collins was going star in it. Burton had passed away & Richard Harris had died in the first film. Could have worked as an action fest. With Roger Moore returning alongside Edward Fox. As the old guys they can throw the grenades. Collins could do the running around. Scott Glen could have been in it but would have to have livened up. He walked around like a zombie in the film. Barbara Carrera could be in the early scenes but keep well clear of the mission.

Fascinating behind the scenes footage from a movie that is inferior to its predecessor. I think the film works as a "Who Dares Wins" or "The Professionals" tv series derivation, but simply cannot imitate what made The Wild Geese so grand. This film boasts a great supporting cast of UK character actors, a great director in Peter Hunt, but sadly Scott Glenn really struggles to carry this film. Lewis Collins would have been much better in the lead.
