Hi Jamerill... I just wanted to check in to say you're an amazing woman my dear. Also, you look absolutely gorgeous. As a 62 yr old disabled woman who lives with my hubby of 42 years, I have no need to batch cook, but have been following you for several years because I adore you and enjoy your content. I'm so glad to see you're doing better & continue to keep you and your family in thought and prayer. Sending love and blessings from Connecticut.❤🙏

I learned something from you that just tickles me and now I do it all the time. When I have a rather long, tedious task to do, I purposely get that faraway look in my eyes, kinda zone out and just take it slow and methodical. It helps me get through it. Thanks!

Jamerill...I've been on THM (mostly on) since February 2014, so I started with the humungous THM book, too, but I recently bought the one you love and cook out of. So a few weeks after you did the Hangry Packets, I made them, too! I think I made 5 of each, but I only cook for myself. Anyway, tonight I had the Fish meal, ohmygoodness, that is the most delicious way I've ever eaten fish (unless, fried, of course). I love watching you, and especially when you make THM meals and yummy items (Pay Off Day Candies...which I also made). Thank you SO much, for being so fun, and I'm proud of you!

Hello Jamerrill. I'm excited to try this. You have taken the guess work out. As a senior living independently I enjoy the big batch cook for many reasons but 1 big plus is the Obvious doing a task many times instead of just once or twice. Because you are making many meals at a time and it helps me to learn and become more familiar faster.Because of you. I actually keep freezer meals. Multiple freezer meals in my freezer. I don't have to spend all the time cooking from scratch because I can just pull one out. And have other time to do things I want do.Thank you, Jamarill.I'm so proud of you and your crew there. You're in my prayers.God bless you from Bakersfield California.

You can use either a circle or square and just fold and seal to make pockets. I used these often in my career as a food service director and catering chef. Any shape really works, you don’t need to cut out something special. Saves a step. You can just use foil as well.

Yep we learnt these years ago, and just use a square as our base paper, but crimp it Teeny Tiny like a pie crust, as you go round and it ends up like a Crescent shape. Save yourself the time & heart ache of the paper cutting! 😊

I'm a little over halfway through the video so I may eat my words but... 1. If you're comfortable with the same veggies being in different pockets, maybe mix them in a Mega-Momma Bowl and use a spoon or measuring cup to make things quicker/ easier? 2. Use tongs or a fork for your raw meats 😉 I chalk that up to mom brain!

I too love the original white, big, 400 and some page THM book and the Starter book! I also love how you make it so simple and you just went back to the basics. Today THM is so complicated and with the new GLP-1 craze and focus I really have left THM (not to mention they kicked me off for asking about bad side effects of a GLP-1😮). But, you have inspired me to maybe let go of my hurt feelings from being kicked off the THM page and just go back to the basic plan to help myself be healthy! You are so right that we can't control circumstances always but we can control what we put in our mouth and how we move our bodies!! Thank you for being such an Encourager💜😊

1:46:37 it’s been 7 years since I lost what would of been my 6th child. You’re only a year out and keeping it all together. I’m not saying I’m a basket case but I still struggle to say it out loud. Huge props to you. I feel like you can probably relate to having a lot of happy healthy kids then having a miscarriage and feeling like you are judged for being upset cuz you already are so blessed (even if no one ever does or not) almost like unnecessary guilt on top of grief. Idk maybe not. Either way sending positive vibes your way. Keep up the great work and I love your videos. Only found you on here a few months back and have been binge watching a bunch of your videos as it fits my life so closely with wanting fit, freezer meals, large busy single mom family.

Both my parents families have a long history of heart disease and diabetes. I’ve been eating in a way friendly for both those conditions since I was 5 and I’m now 30. I have multiple chronic illnesses that are actually far better than doctors expected them to be at this point, due to the way I eat. Setting your kids up with healthier eating habits early will absolutely help them long term, it’s great that you set such a good example and include them in your health journey even if it is just peripherally through some of the meals. The kids will absorb way more than anyone expects with the food, that’s pretty much what happened with myself and my brother. We both eat way healthier than a lot of people our ages without consciously thinking of it at this point.

😥 I have my first kidney surgery on Friday of my right kidney. I have a stone the size of a tennis ball. A week from Thursday (May 30th) I"ll have my left kidney surgery to remove about 2 dozen kidney stones the size of a silver dollar. I"m absolutely terrified. They're doing it as an outpatient surgery, it's going to be very difficult for me because I take care of my disabled mother and we won't have any help. The parchment pockets are called "en papiotte" = in paper. Tho they don't have to be heart shaped, you are literally just sealing them. My usual way to cook fish is like this but I use a rectangle/square but I have an extra fold at the top so it envelopes/ pops out when it steams.

Hi Jammerill I admire your positivity I love you my dear friend by the way what you’re doing is similar to how we man a poor man’s meal lol in my house hold however we don’t cut the parchment 📜 paper we take the sides bring them together and fold them together and we do the same thing with both ends and you’ll get more in the parchment 📜 paper once you stuff it

Your amazing!!! With all you and your children have had to deal with over the past few years, you look great and are showing them how to deal with setbacks and take care of yourself. I am sending you prayers and hugs. I actually found out a little while ago that I need to eat gluten free. I am amazed how many foods have gluten in them. I just printed a bunch of recipe’s from the THM website and will be trying some. Thank you for sharing what you can of your life with us. ❤🤗🙏

I’m hard of hearing so I watch with closed captions. Everytime you use the parchment paper it says (applause). Cracks me up. But yes. Us mamas need all the applause we can get!

When I was a scout leader one of the things we would take for camping trips is what’s called backwoods cooking where you do a similar thing of the pockets except using alfoil as it’s easier to fold up the edges. I’ve always had them as a steak dinner. So it would have a steak potatoes veges gravy and some seasonings. It’s a great thing to do with kids too as you can lay out all the ingredients and they can pick and choose what they want and how much. Then you can throw it in a fire, an oven or even in frypans on the stove.

I make dinners just like this but i use reynolds wrap in stead. Add you meat, vegetables, seasoning, add squares of butter, seal it and i put it on the grill. Steak pieces are really good this way. We call them hobo pockets. Enjoy !

en papillote is the French term for what you are doing there aka cooking in a pocket, maybe tell your kids that you are having a French dinner and they will eat it

It wasn't this video, the last one I think, you wore a bright pink running shirt, a blue dress, those are both great colors on you.
