This isn't a Mortal Kombat game and I've witnessed unnecessary life and death threatening injuries because people go over the top. If the opponent is neutralized there isn't any need to go further depending on the threat level of the situation at hand. But killer's will be killer's no matter who they work for or how they're trained. All they know is " FINISH HIM! "

That might be the reason why proactive violence leading to clandestine behaviour (cooperation maintenance hypothesis: not peer reviewed) is normalized in chimpanzees and humans compared to pan paniscus society based on more or less egalitarian female/male coalitions and playful prosociality/sociosexuality for promotion of group stability regardless of age and gender as a byproduct of domestication syndrome (Richard Wrangham).

Born in the Philippines and raised in the USA. I’ve been to Bacolod and Manila and other parts of the islands and it’s beautiful. Filipinos it’s true that we’re very nice people and very hospitable. Yet the Philippines National Army and Law Enforcement are in close contact with U.S Marines and other American soldiers with training tactics. It’s something different and it’s really cool. Wherever you go in the Philippines there will always be someone like a security officer armed with high powered weapons. My uncle was a hand to hand combat instructor in the US military during desert storm, and he specialized in this, Filipino knife combat, and Muay thai. It's scary to think how deadly he could really be in an altercation.
Finishing your opponent is the truest statement I hav ever heard.
This technique works. It's also in medieval dagger fighting techniques. The only thing is it's extremely difficult to actually do in a fight. It takes perfect timing, so lots and lots of practice

Yyyyeah no, the average untrained person trying this is simply going to get stabbed. Repetitively. Just control the weapon, grab the knife hand and control it, work from there. Don't try this fancy shit unless you're an actual martial artist.

The Marines learned this first hand. This is where the nickname "leatherneck" comes from. In the Philippines the fighters would get in close with Marines and carve them to pieces. At that time in history hand to hand fighting was erroneously regarded as irrelevant. And thus now we have the modern Marine Corps who teaches advanced close combat as standard battle doctrine. Philippino fighters showed the very world just how dangerous a skilled man with a blade can be.
Damn man that was smooth , solid strategy , thank you for the lesson❤

Fighting with blade is very common on the streets in the Philippines. I had 3 cousins died from stab wounds. All of them could fight.
