Filipino attitude it's really hospitality they will not leave you until the end especially even they can't eat as long as they can help people...this is cultural we adapt to our ancestor in ancient times..i proud to be a Filipino..

Guimaras is not known for spectacular beaches and tourist spots but for its abundance of delicious mangoes.

Yeah too bad Ken you should have tried their mangoes or at least visit a cafe that sells a lot mango flavored food and drinks. But there’s one spot that a filipino vlogger and her norwegian boyfriend went to and it was nice.

As you don't visit Boracay because of mangoes, so you don't come to Guimaras because of the beaches. Every place has its special things, what has to been known before coming to theses places. Actually Guimaras is THE best place for mangoes worldwide !!!

guimaras island is not lnown for their beaches but definitely its a hidden gem of western visayas, been there several times and found nice beach resorts and cheap too you just have to ask the locals because google map is not reliable sometimes but mangoes is definitely world class

Oo nga masarap ang manga ng Guimaras PERO turista si Ken at ang dinarayo niya ay mga lugar na makasaysayan at merong magagandang tanawin o beaches - HINDI ANG GUIMARAS MANGO na mabibili mo sa Cubao Farmers Market. Magnolia ice cream nga na Guimaras mango flavored ay pangkaraniwan lang saan mang sulok ng Pilipinas.

You should visit Gisi and the light house its the 2nd oldest light house in the Philippines, also white beaches are located in Nueva Valencia Guimaras , also another attraction there is the Wind Mill and try to visit the Mango Research center and Trappist Monastery. ou should also try eating Mango Pizza since Guimaras in known for its sweetest mango in the world.

you have to go to alubihod... magic island in guimaras... reymens beach resort is a good one... highly recommended.

Mr.ken i suggest you visit up north especially in San Fernando pampanga for sure you can experience the Filipino Christmas experience because that is the christmas capital of the Philippines, yearly they have a giant lantern festival.

you should have a boat tour island hoping in very popular Gigantes Islands when you come back to iloilo.

Familiar with Guimaras as have a place next to Talkong Island Marine Reserve so made me laugh when seen you turned right off the ferry rather than going left. It is though a beautiful place if you know where you're going. Great you sharing your experiences with the people, one of the reasons why I fell in love with the place.

I think maybe you should have gone the other way from the boat harbour .Anyway it was good the locals helped you out with the bike..The mango plantations would have been great to visit

Guimaras Island is best known for its sweet, succulent mangoes.

Those are just water with food colouring filled into ice candy wrappers. We used to make it into chandeliers to decorate our college dorms during open house events.

Ken, Guimaras island is composed of 5 towns. You can’t appreciate the beauty of Guimaras island with in few hours only. All the beautiful beaches are located in Nueva Valencia, Jordan and Buenavista. I just open a place called Guimaras isle agritourism park. The head teachers from Iloilo came to relax in there and they are very happy and said that our place is a paradise! There’s fishpond and beach to enjoy at the same time you can do boat ride going to our big fish farm. You’re very much welcome to stay in my place next time you plan to visit Guimaras. The best time is during the month of May which is the mango season where you can enjoy the sweetest mango in the whole world.

hello @KenAbroad I think you didn't go to the best beach resort in guimaras.. If ever you can come back in guimaras I recommend this 2 beaches. First the Nature's Eye Beach Resort & Andana Beach Resort.. 😊

Have you tried BAVARIA restaurant? I don't know if it's still there in Iloilo but would definitely be a good idea for you to have a review of it. Btw, you haven't explored Guimaras that much yet. It's my personal favorite beach destination even if im also a traveller jumping places 😂
