I’m half Filipino who grew up in the Philippines. Love this so much and brings back a lot of childhood memories for me. Lumpia is the one made with meat and vegetables inside.

And mad props to Jackie for having an open mind enough to appreciate the balut. Most people get freaked out at just the thought of it. To answer Kimmy's question about why the adobo turns solid when cold, good chicken stock has gelatin in it from the bones that simmer, that’s what makes it so rich. So when it’s cold, it solidifies like Jell-O, but liquifies when it’s hot.

13:15 fun fact about Olivia saying the chicken broth makes it gelatinous in the fridge is that broth is made from the chicken bones simmered for a long time. I remember my Chef told me that you can tell if the broth/stock is really good when you fridge it and it becomes gelatinous by the time you take it out of the fridge. The stock/broth are made from either chicken or beef bones simmered for hours with aromatics usually carrot, onions, celery, and herbs until it releases all the flavors from the bones. It can either be roasted(brown stock) or just blanched (white stock)

I REALLY WANT THE ROLLS NOW PLEASE THAT SOUNDS SO GOOD EVEN IF IT WASN'T SUPPOSED TO GO TOGETHER
Angela's face at 16:03 is also me the whole time Olivia explaining and justifying her side HAHHAHAHAHAH
Kimmy and Selena are officially the wholesome center of the Smosh cooking world.
I kinda want a Behind the Scenes of the cooking process in this ep. Filipino cuisine on the spotlight and I want more ❤

I wish we had one for every episode! It would be such a nice addition to the series
When she slapped that soda though immediately turn into chaos hahaha. 😂😂
As soon as I say the eggs I was like not the balut 💀 my dad used to love it but I could never get passed the fact that I could see it’s face
Kimmy, chicken adobo gets gelatinous when it gets cold because it IS gelatin! when you cook chicken with the skin and bones on, you're extracting the collagen from it and you're adding even more of that gelatinous collagen when you use the chicken broth. the broth being gelatinous is actually a good sign that its a VERY well made broth.
Damien looked extra happy today, it was very enjoyable to see him enjoy his dish and be happy for the others

I hope kimmy already knows how the map of the Philippines looks like... saw her in one episode she was not able to answer.. hahahaha goodjob guys for this episode..
It's so cool seeing our food being eaten here. 🥺
I love how filipino culture is so similar to mexican culture. Champurrado in mexico is like a sweet hot cocoa made with corn starch, and in the center of mexico people drink soda from a bag just like that.

We’ve been under Mexican Influence for 200 years. As the first wave of the Spanish invasion the people who mostly governs our ancestors were Mexicans. It was also the Mexicans that influenced Filipinos at that time to revolt against the Spaniards. So yeah. 😊

Shoutout to Kimmy and Selina for showing and introducing our food/culture to the squad! And man, Garrett and Kimmy in barong tagalog 👌🏼👌🏼 Thank you for doing this ❤💙💛
So we’ve got Damien with the umami flavors and willingness to try pretty much anything, Shayne with grave mouth, and now Chanse being immune to spice AND sour?? What a trio!
18:36 Soda! Also, I love how loud you can hear Shayne's laugh in the background
Man, those food looks soo good!!! I hope next yime yall do viet food, i would love to see how yall make it
Between everyone's excitement, Damien's love of Ube, Angela's chaos energy, Adobo But Cold, The Gravemouth sequel, and Jackie totally bossing it with the Balut, this episode was amazing 👏🏾💚 Loved the barongs on Kimmy and Garrett along with Selina all chefin' it good on the kitchen cam 😁 So happy to see Smosh enjoy the food of our Culture 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
really thought they'd serve dinuguan, its pork blood stew which i know sounds weird, it tastes really good! i very rarely eat foods like that but dinuguan is one of the best filipino dishes ever

I think it would've made sense in a game like this. I've shown this dish to people who aren't filipino and they go through a range of emotions, they look at it and it's a bit weird, then eat it and like it, then find out it's stewed pig's blood and then freak out again 😂
14:36 not the R2-D2 screaming from Jackie 😂😂😂
Nooo cuz I love that they’re all soooo respectful
Watching the moment in which Angela slaps the soda bag in x 0.25 it's just magic. You have: - Garett laughing - Every-single-one's reaction - Angela trying to still slurp it after it's clearly broken It's priceless
