Your client is one smart cookie. That is a fantastically designed kitchen to eliminate clutter and provide an easy to clean and efficient cooking space. She hit all the buttons on that design. Usually when I see new kitchens there is always something I would change or add. This is perfect and I want one too!

Great design if she wants to get her steps in! The distance from the sink to the fridge to the microwave/pantry looks huge. Though I suppose if there are kids or lots of other people in the house they can use the fridge/microwave while staying out of her cooking zone.

I definitely wouldn’t put the fridge so far from the sink. They broke the kitchen design work triangle rule and may regret that for the duration they live in the home. But maybe not 🤷‍♀️

Finally! A closet with room for full length clothes! I thought other women had quit wearing dresses since I never seemed to see closets with anything but half length hanging space.

I would have a sitting area in my closet like a window you can set in look out and I love all that closet space that is so wonderful and also in the master bedroom I would have added on a like a little living quarters like my little living room our dining area or something like that and my bedroom would have been a lot bigger but I love it special all them cabinets places oh man that's what I need so bad and I love to walk in shower I love it wonderful wonderful job guys wonderful

I really like the whole house, but I would change the refrigerator placement, and I don’t like a laundry room so close to the kitchen. You could live on that kitchen island, and that pantry is amazing. Very nice!

Yeah.. I don’t like the laundry room placement either… maybe flip flop the placement of pantry and laundry room would be better to me. Pantry seems so far away. 🤷‍♀️

Ha! Being a word smith of long standing, I had to check my online dictionary for niche. Pronunciation guide has two versions, “nitch” and “neesh.” No “nee shay.” In my area of the country, I’ve never heard it pronounced that way. Just fyi, Josh.

Great build very livable and a dream shop to keep hubby occupied. I love the colors and finishes, really glad they put a tub in the upstairs bathroom as I generally like to have one in the master bath but this is what the client preferred. Really glad to see that the client got to have so much input, if I had the option I would live in a barndominium built by you but mine would be even bigger with an open loft upstairs all the way around the main living space with private bedrooms and baths

I love this house. A little big for me. If I were younger it would be perfect. My son would love that shop I w3ould love ❤️ all the cabinet. But I would probably forget where I put things.

nice video! ...paper towel holder in drawer leads to ruin of drawer front if folks are not careful/clean - wet/dirty hands transfer whatever is on them to drawer front leading to extra cleaning/repaint/restaining... ask me how I know :)

BIG QUESTION: how is heating and cooling in one of these Barndos?? Cost? Performance? Love this type of home.. but seems the cost of heat/cooling would be a no-go.

Beautiful Barndo with lots of nice options. I like those soft close barn doors, so easy when you get rushing to give a door a bit of an extra push and it end up slamming. I liked the cover car parking and I now was an after thought with the design, but that bother me with the shop garage door not centered under it.

Beautiful just beautiful. As a short person 5 ft 3. I am concerned about those high cabinets.

How much does something like this house go for

I notice that the wall have texture other than flat sheetrock. How are the walls finished to get that plaster/mortar like texture?

From what I can tell on my cell phone, you do beautiful finish work . I, myself, would not want all that shelf space to keep clean. Not to mention the floor space to keep clean. I cannot imagine how much it costs to heat and air condition all that space. I enjoy looking at your videos.

We build for low energy and efficiency. It’s not what you’d think in terms of heating and cooling. It shouldn’t cost more than $150 per month to heat and cool this house. Depending on the usage of the shop etc.

How much was this build?

All that built in stuff in the kitchen and the microwave is just sitting out on the counter. Thought that was funny. Their house, not ours. Is the frameless door in the guest bathroom going to hit the toilet? The camera angle made it look like it would.

I was thinking the same thing. I’ve just about watched most, if not all, their videos. There’s areas of the home that should be reserved for her…a woman’s opinion is more appreciated. He should comment to the build while she comments to what woman would appreciate in the build. I’m conservative…respect your woman for without them, we would be extinct.
