@@ghostlytvt3029 well at the beginning of the video hes installing the game, i thought the issue was that the game wont install, my game when i click install asks if im okay with the app making changes to the device and then i say yes and then nothing happens, the game doesnt install and ive been googling and doing everything the internet says to do and nothing works, and then this dingus says hes got the fix and it wont be fucking confusing it will be easy and hes already doing shit without explaining how he did it, like the fucking wizardy of him magically having the game install

im 8 seconds in and i fucking love this guy. all of my days of trouble shooting and looking for fixes on various games, this is the first person to get straight to the point call me a loser and help me. respect 100.

FOR THOSE FINDING THIS VIDEO IN 2022 I don't know if this is the case for everyone else but I thought that I would clear up confusion just in case. Follow everything this guy does in this video, it's fantastic and straightforward. WHEN YOU OPEN THE TEMP FOLDER, the file type isn't ".tmp" anymore and is now ".mcd." AGAIN, THIS IS HOW IT WAS FOR ME AND IT CONFUSED ME FOR A WHILE BECAUSE I WAS EXPECTING A ".TMP" FILE. Otherwise, everything else is still the same. Great guide and awesome energy on this video man! BROS LISTEN TO ME. The reason you have this problem is because you are downloading the game with an unstable internet connection. I know some of you are on wifi and disassembling your setup and rebuilding it next to the modem is probably not an option for you. I UNDERSTAND. Here is your fix: Learn how to create a local network folder (a folder that all devices connected to your wifi will have access to) and download the game into that folder from a computer that is connected by ethernet. u can connect a laptop to ethernet, download the game into the local network folder and then you can access the data from your desktop. do that or buy a long azz ethernet cable or put your computer next to the router. U wanna play? this is what you need to do.

2/14/22 I HAVE A MUCH EASIER FIX IF THIS IS HAPPENING TO YOU ON WINDOWS 10. First you have to turn OFF windows defender.... even if you turn it off it is still on. So in windows defender click ALLOW AN APP OR FEATURE THROUGH WINDOWS DEFENDER FIREWALL > FIND BSGLAUNCHER > check both prifvate and public. Save these settings. Now install the game. BOOM

So unfortunately the way in this video is nearly impossible for me to do because I have an M.2 drive. I can't hit the x when it reaches 100%. Unless I had a program or something it is damn near impossible. Shit is way too fast. My brain hurt, went through every emotion. But yeah even when I thought windows defender was turned off it was still on. Adding BSG as an exception was the only thing that worked for me. Hopefully this helps more people

Where do you initially set the game download to? I have nothing in my temp file when I exit and don't get an EFT folder when I download the launcher. Maybe I wasn't quick enough.
