    I really appreciate this video. I was looking for a super simple dac amp to connect to my PC and use primarily with IEMs. I wanted to something USB powered and this looks like it fits the build. Thanks for taking the time to walk through the features and not taking anything for granted.

    If the rear lineout has already connected, does it mute the lineout speakers when the front headphone is plugged? Or does the device or PC allows the selection of which output to be active?

  • @ToolsElectroDIY

    no it doesn't mute other outputs. they can be used at the same time.

    Thank you for the great review! Did you try connecting the active speakers with the headphone jack? I am curious whether the line out provides any advantage over the headphone jack given that the line out implementation in this model is somewhat uncommon.

  • @ToolsElectroDIY

    @ToolsElectroDIY

    Жыл бұрын

    Yes, any active speakers will work with line out, which should be used instead of headphones jack. The audio quality will be better with line out as it by passes the analog amp.

    @@ToolsElectroDIY In theory yes, but I see that in the K3 you can change the volume from the device itself in addition to being able to change the volume from the active speakers. This seems to indicate that the line out works as a headphone jack (I guess it has the advantage of being conveniently placed in the back of the device). Therefore, I am not sure that the audio quality is any different when using the headphone jack as opposed to the line out when connecting to external active speakers (in this particular model).

When I connect my JBL 9.1 soundbar to my television, I notice that the midrange in movies and music is lacking and needs to be a little richer. may I please enhance the treble using any device I may link between the TV and my JBL Bar 9.1?

    I'm new to all this trying to learn. I have a pair of Razer Nommo Pro speakers. They are like the Rolls Royce of the Razer brand as far as speakers go. I also want to purchase a pair of Bluetooth Focal Bathys. I know the headphones already have a DAC inside them. Do I need a DAC/amp for the speakers sake? Can I connect the BT headphones to a BT compatible DAC/amp so everything is connected into one place. If so, any suggestions? I currently have a GSX 1000 and used to have pair of Focal Celestees, but discovered I'm just not a wired guy. Now I'm a bit confused on what to do. I wanna replace the GSX 1000 as well because I purchased it used and there is a weird problem with it where it randomly makes a loud 'thump' sound out of nowhere. The same sound you get when saving settings on it, but in this case it just randomly goes off out of nowhere and scares the shit out of me. I do like have the volume wheel right in front of me though from the GSX 1000. So what equipment would you get if you were in my shoes? Thanks.

  • @ToolsElectroDIY

    The bluetooth headphones will not benefit from this DAC. This DAC is designed for high impedance (Hi-Fi?) wired headphones. The line out port is preferred for connecting to speakers though, however you won't notice any significant improvement for your speakers setup using this DAC.I don't have GSX 1000. I don't think you need anything else with your current setup, unless you don't like the sound from them. Perhaps better speakers, such as Klipsch 51PM will help. See my other reviews on this. @@ToolsElectroDIY One last question I know an amplifier is for speaker sound only, but does a DAC improve speakers audio? The GSX1000 I have was purchased pre-owned for $70. It has some crazy issues with it so I want to get a newer one but before I get one I wanna make sure DAC's actually have a benefit to speaker quality sound. Also if I get a Bluetooth DAC/AMP can I then connect my BT headphones to the BT DAC/AMP and just switch back and forth effortlessly like I can now with my old wired ones on the DAC/AMP....click on a button from speaker to headphone and vice versa.
