Fighting stage four Advanced Metastatic Prostate Cancer - A visit to my oncologist

Well this could have gone one of two ways, I'm not going to lie I've been dreading this visit but as you will hear in the video it was basically very good news.
Thank you for watching this video, I’ve been making these videos as a vlog sharing my journey through Advanced Metastatic Prostate Cancer.
My world literally fell apart on Sept 15th 2021 when I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer.
Questions such as how long have I got left how bad is it in fact a whole whose of frightening thoughts were wondering around my mind and exploding at opportune moments when I felt most vulnerable.
I was to be honest lost and lonely to begin with, people don’t know how to deal with someone who has stage four cancer, it’s a taboo subject. I honestly didn’t know who to turn to for help.
I started writing a blog whilst I was in hospital and recovering at home after from the initial treatment phase.
I then decided to make this vlog because it seemed a better way to get my story out there. I want to provide a channel where I would continue telling my story for as long as I can and invite comments from others that can also help and share there own experiences.
Cancer can be a lonely place and I hope this channel will help someone else who may be a bit lost and feel alone whilst dealing with their own diagnosis and experience.
Nothing is ever as bad as you think it will be and that seems to the case so far with my experience with Prostate Cancer.
Thank you for watching, please comment if you feel like it and please share the videos to anyone you think may find them helpful
Woody ❤️

Some great news there Woody! I just got the results of my scans as well, and like you, no further spread. I believe it's Dr Sholtz on KZread in the states who has Q&As with a coordinator. I have found him very informative, and he talked about my specific problem of Lymph node metastasis. He talked about many other forms of prostate cancer as well. His latest video is about the latest drugs that came out in 2023. I sent my specific video to my siblings, so they could have a better understanding of what i'm going through. 12 years on, and still going strong. Regards Carl from Canada.

From time to time I watched your video. Good to hear that you are fine. I was diagnos of aggressive pc too gleason of 9 on May last and I went through robotic surgery last July. My oncology told me that my psa were Undetectable after the surgery but still have pain in my lower abdomen especially when i have the urge to pee. They left a clip in my wond and they removed it last November but still feel pain and worry. I've been to the Doctor lately and they told me to wait a few months if the pain will go away itself. They run a lot of examination to find if I have another cancer but thanks God they found nothing so just wait hope for the best. Finger cross to all who suffer this shit hung in there. I lost my dad and some relatives already and hoping they will find a cure someday for the future generation if it will not for us, because I'm worried for my son n my grandsons too.

Awesome news. The stress of the wait can be overwhelming. I wonder if a rising PSA means you're becoming resistant to the ADT? But, if your cancer isn't spreading and your PSA is going back to "normal" maybe that means you can come off ADT and that you're in remission? There's still so much I don't know about this. Glad there's no spread, especially with the aggressiveness of your cancer. You're clearly doing all the right things. Congrats!

Woody, you are driving yourself crazy. Your treatment worked. So, get on with your life. I have to say you are clearly a "glass half empty" kind of guy. Why are you discussing new treatments with your oncologist? Why cannot you accept the good news?

I think I am getting on with my life, it's my oncologist who is discussing new treatments because she has told me this type of cancer will not just go away. I believe I'll beat it and I don't really think I live a glass half empty kind of life and I'm hoping that I don't come across that way.
