Been watching both of your channels for +10 years. I found BG playing battlefield 3 and Uncharted 3 multiplayer found Cowboy playing Borderlands 2 with his expert build tutorials. Glad to see a collab between you two.

I definitely don't care who or how much someone farms.. But you can't say that doesn't help. There isn't a easy normal and hard mode, If you do no farming and level yourself up Just by playing The Game Depending how much you die That's normal mode or possibly hard. If you're doing a bunch of farming leveling up your character you are making the game Easier to play plain and simple.

If you weren’t supposed to farm, devs wouldn’t allow it in game. Nothing wrong with using what the devs made available for you. There should be difficulty options. Somebody playing on easy doesn’t affect another player playing on normal, hard or extra hard. Some people think they game is too easy and want to make it harder, some think it’s too hard and wants to make it easy. Nothing wrong with giving players options.

Farming helps to a certain extent. With these games you still have to execute. Its designed to allow u to farm but theres still a slight cap. It doesnt stop u but farming becomes very very tedious.

@@412yinzrnah souls games shouldn’t have an easy mode. It would remove the gratification from struggling against and beating a boss. I would get too frustrated and lower the difficulty because I have no self control lol

My slow 51 year old reactions means I'm firmly in the farming for days camp. In Lords I farmed umbrall before attempting the first boss so my vit was 25 and end was 15

Cowboy has a perfect take on not being in favor of offering difficulty adjustments in Soulslike games. One thing I COULD be in favor of is things like Last of Us offers where you have modifiers you can unlock in new game+ that make the game easier. For someone who beats a game like Elden Ring and then in New Game + wants to take in the world in its full and just explore every nook as much as possible without having to worry about dying and the stress of combat- that could be cool as a post game reward or secondary option for your next playthrough. Even if it’s something you can toggle on and off through the next playthrough.

It's funny how people don't like when people use summons, then people come out of the woodwork with the sword of night and flame and delete bosses. I know someone who told me I didn't beat a boss in lies of p because I used a summon. That same guy was using the sword of night and flame and deleting health.

Great interview. I don't like souls games, but Lies of P has me hooked for some reason even though I die a good amount. Still haven't beaten it yet, but if I actually get through it, this has helped me see where I should go next to get better at these games.

The things cowboy mentioned as being “wrong” with Bloodborne are entirely subjective. Being able to only level up one weapon to +10 didn’t impact my play through at all. Neither did the lack of ability to respec. And I’ve played and beaten all of the other From Souls games and Sekiro.

Bloodborne spits on everything in existence graphically that's a multiplat maxed out on PC. The last guardian obilterates a 4090 doing path tracing graphically. BTW when you play both of these games turn the brightness all the way down. The graphics become extremely insane

Just play Demon Souls BEFORE Dark Souls 2. You can either play Sekiro before or after, since it's not really a Souls like

The biggest IP or should I say game that should cross path with Souls is Magic The Gathering.

I can’t take serious when anyone says lords of the fallen is a good souls like. I’m sorry. It’s absolutely the antithesis of what a souls game is. Great swords swinging like katanas, no committing to animations or swings, enemy mobs to the point exploring is not feasible, it’s just a mess all around. Horrible.
