FIGHTER JETS FLYING LOW IN THE USA
Ғылым және технология
Five days spent hunting fast jets in the Sidewinder, USA came up with a great variety of aircraft. Some rare visitors included a Fouga Magister, Vandy (the black hornet), Some RAF F35B's and my highlight was the C-17 Globemaster which dropped in twice just to be sure.

Excellent footage Dafydd, this was certainly was the icing on the cake from the trip across the pond, it must have been challenging shooting in to that sun.

Thanks Darren,it was a fun trip! The mornings up until 12 o clock it was great but there was no other hill we could of hopped onto after to get any light advantage after that. Other locations are across the river with no bridges or east access to.
that c-17 got some crazy power to weight ratio when its empty
Top video Dafydd, those Globemasters are impressive.

That Fouga Magister looks wicked! I’d love to own one if I had license to fly it and money to keep it up. I’d love to have a Douglas A-4 Skyhawk and Northrop T-38C Talon too.

Glad you enjoyed it, it was a fun walk to get up to the location with the usual perils of the Californian countryside. Thank for watching 👍 Daf
I did some construction work on cold lake bombing range during operation maple flag one year. (I'm a crane operator) I had fighters dodging my boom in the air they were flying under 100 ft at tree top level and I'm pretty sure super sonic. I had a Hercules fly so low with a door open I could read the decals and see the guy waving at me. Was a cool month to be out there during.

@@DafyddPhillips fun and memorable.. Scared the crap out of me more times than I expected cause you don't hear them coming.. Or just a bit of a whistle just before they get to you and then a roar. They did some dog fighting too. But it was high up in the air and hard to see. The after burners during that were surprisingly loud for their distance though! Definitely going to remember it.
Nice day for it! Super video as always Dafydd nice to see the AV8B’s, and the C17 always looks awesome down low!

That Boeing AV-8B Harrier II+ belongs to the United States Marine Corps. If this is VX-9 “Vampires” or VX-31 “Dust Devils” they are a joint Navy/Marine Corps Squadron from NAWS China Lake, California. Awesome video mate!

This is between point alpha and bravo on the sidewinder. It’s a case of finding a safe route up to a suitable level. I’d travel with a companion as the slopes can be dangerously steep. Good luck!
