@@francescogendrinable Hi, he attended The Armed Forces Technical School, Halmstad, Sweden. I don't know how it works elsewhere, but in Czech Republic you have to join the military to be able to get this type of training.

Multi-million dollar machines, state-of-the-art equipment, massive facilities, and a piece of cardboard with holes punched in it to make sure everything goes back together correctly.

"sadly I wasn't able to become a pilot myself as my hearing and sight weren't good enough that's why I became a mechanic" I remember that day I visited some army officiers at a orientation meeting when I was 18. I explained to them that I'm deaf, I can talk and read on lips. And they told me I can't work in the army at all even as a mechanic. I dreamed to be a fighter pilot. I'm glad I can watch these guys accomplishing their dreams at least.

That was an exceptional engineering, the mechanic has carefully check everything correctly, I would say this is excellent.

Excellent documentary; congrats to the Czech team doing that great work. Hats off to SAAB and the Swedes for designing this beautiful machine. Unfortunately because of such low numbers produced its very expensive to acquire though operating costs are the best in the world!

Those Czechs are good eggs. They don't take short cuts! A weapons platform like this, which is a solid weapons system...is only good as the pilot at the controls. But... the pilot is only as good as the flight crew keeping these incredibly complicated and high tech machines operating at the its absolute highest possibility capabilities. Every time those pilots positions and holds in the runway..their lives are literally in the hands of that crew and their efforts for nearly two months. It really is amazing how so many people can come together working on machines with thousands of parts where...if just one tiny part fails... a pilot and $35 million buck become an extremely expensive lawn dart! A dart that explodes in a fireball! Good on ya, Czech Republic. Glad you're on our side!

I just love these type of documentaries as i love fighter jets! They are lucky to have JAS gripens as fighter jets!

Fallout workplace safety stickers? I like these guys.

Feel bad for the mechanic that he can't fly, but being able to fix them is pretty cool. I too know how it feels not to be able to do what you want because of your bodies defects

Love how the winches for lowering the engine are the field winches for loading weapons. Good design.

I'm Southern bred / Southern bound here in Georgia USA, but being of Czech-German descent, this video made me kinda proud in a way.

Everybody who ever worked on a fighter jet knows that this is not an easy job! I had my fair share on F-16 as a weapon technician.

The gripen is one of the least demanding of service intervalls of all the fighters in the world. So just imagine how often a F-35 have to do there service
