football is beautiful...it's more than just a game

As a US fan this hurts but congrats to panama, please make the most of this.

You guys are trying to make me cry again.. I'm from Panama and you guys have narrated that story so beautifully that it threw me back to that day. I remember screaming like crazy with my mates on his house. Seeing the score and realizing that USA were losing (thing that I would not have anticipated never) and Mexico also losing (which gave us the direct qualification) it almost felt like a dream. I lost my voice on that house. On my way home, it was perhaps the first day I was glad the cars weren't moving. I rolled my windows down and with almost every other person on the street I celebrated. The color red on every building and a wall of sound took over the city and it was BEAUTIFUL. "Caravanas" were everywhere and tears of joy were in everyones' eyes. I went to my girlfriends home and I hugged and kissed her becasue finally after all these years, after crying to my sleep four years before, we had finally qualified for a world cup. Nothing really compares to that. Thanks Tifo, for reminding me of that night.

I'm happy for you guys finally qualifying. Represent CONCACAF well. I'm also still angry at our players (USA) for their unbelievable failure. The entire team except for Pulisic are a disgrace. They should be ashamed of themselves. God knows how far failing to qualify will set the sport back in this country. At least 10 years. Every World Cup, the sport grows tremendously in the US, and now we don't get to experience that because of those clowns. I just hope we learn from this embarrassment and rebuild the national team around Pulisic.

The structure and research is spot on indeed, but what i love the most is the presentation. I feel like a student in a classroom while you are drawing on the blackboard in the simplest way possible while also explaining everything to the fullest. Really enjoying learning from you, cheers!

As a panamanian, all I can say is thank you and that I loved the video. Truth is that at times it seemed impossible, but like all the panamanians, I'm super proud of my team for all the effort they put. And you putting so much attention to the Amilcar situation was a really nice touch. Also, if there is a player that deserves to be in the World Cup is Jaime Penedo. Dude is amazing, and I've always thought he deserved more in his club career. So glad that he's gonna be able to play it along with the rest of the guys. So yeah, thank you so much for this video, bro!!

Such a great story. It's beautiful in some way, they got cheated out of the Gold cup final 2015 by an incompetent (or plain corrupt) ref, and now the fate has returned them a favor with that nonexistent goal vs Costa Rica

CONCACAF reffing has screwed so many teams, now it was our turn to benefit.

I don't think I have ever seen or heard a nicer narration of the unlikely World Cup Qualification of Panama's national team. I didn't watch the game live that day because I didn't want to get my heart broken like I did when Panama lost 4 - 0 to the US in Orlando a few days earlier, a defeat which the best it could hope for was an intercontinental playoff spot. But yes, that day was a magical day for Panamanian soccer, and a day that will live in the hearts of many fans for years to come. Excellent job!!!

Thanks for this video. As a Panamanian I know that, since they are going to the World Cup for the first time, it is possible that they are going to have a situation of no victorys in the tournament. But it does not matter because life is about learning everyday and try to reach your goals, so they will learn and football in Panama is going to have a better situation overall.

AS USMNT fan I give full credit to Panama! I will be rooting for them in the upcoming world cup

Great video! It did bring tears to many eyes. Could you guys also do one for Peru? They failed to qualify for more than 30 years and were second to last in the table by the end of the first leg during the qualifiers, yet were able to make it in the end. Also a great story.

Loved this video. I remember this great photo of a fan who broke into the field after defeating Costa Rica and hugged one of the players. But the police officer sent out to pull him away ended up hugging them both, so the picture shows this spontaneous hug sandwich

Fantastic video as always!! The most entertaining WC qualifiers in history. You should do a video on Peru's qualifications! We started 8th in the table and ended up qualifying out of the most difficult region to qualify (South America).

The best football channel. The story including meticulous details in such a simple and efficient way is just amazing. Only football can make you feel like that

Very proud of my country. This will be one world cup of many. People always look down on new teams but you never now when your mouth would be shut. Panama may not have a world cup experience but. After watching the rise of Bournemouth video, I would love to see something similar with Huddersfield Town! Not quite as extreme as Bournemouth, but still very interesting, with the club going into administration not long ago, but saved under chairman and genuine Huddersfield fan Dean Hoyle, they defined the odds to be in the prem.

Great vid as always! Perhaps the story of Peru's dramatic qualification is next - with it being the first time that they've qualified in 36 years. It would make for a great video given the circumstances of how they got there and would definitely warm the hearts of all football fans alike. (Especially us Peruvians!) Keep up the good work and hopefully this video eventually comes into fruition.🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪

I’m from Costa Rica and i gotta tell you, most of us celebrated Torres’ goal as if it was ours. For three good reasons -Panama’s Machado was Saprissa’s (biggest Costa Rican club in terms of fans and silverware) captain for a couple of years. -Henriquez got a proper and well deserved farewell -USA was eliminated. Ever since the match in Denver, which wasn’t suspended even with extremely heavy snow, there’s been very bad blood between our national sides; and having them off the World Cup in such a way feels like ultimate karma

Roman torres will forever remain a panamenian hero that no any panamenian can forget (even though i'm not from panama)

This is a great video u should do a similar video with Peru they have as great of a story

Well, now as history doesnt repeat itself but rhymes, we got squashed by the US 5-1 and lost our spot to the WorldCup in Qatar after been close to it more than ever, and with arguably the best squad ever; shame on us. But the difference this time is that now we can go back and watch videos like this and shed a tear remembering when we ACTUALLY did it; we never had that comfort before. We're doing better now. Hope we can make it in 2026!!
