Saman Ghoddos is a big favorite here in the Swedish league and even more in northern Sweden. He always acts in an incredibly sportsmanlike way and is impossible to hate. Simply because of him I will be cheering for Iran in group B, even though he did chose to play for Iran instead of Sweden.

Som svensk med iranskt påbrå är jag också lite ledsen över att han valde Iran till slut. Han hade varit toppen på kanten och gjort Sverige mer mångsidigt istället för som nu när Forsberg förväntas stå för det mesta av kreativiteten. Han hade lätt tagit plats på högermittfält (framför Durmaz eller Claesson) och det hade varit en fröjd att se han och Forsberg bägge på planen samtidigt. Tror även han helst hade velat lira för Sverige men vad jag tror är den bidragande orsaken till varför han valde Iran är nog att Sverige var så veliga med ta in han, för att han lirar i Allsvenskan. Inget synonymt med Janne utan så var det även under Hamréns tid. Ungefär bara äldre och rutinerade "hemvändare" som får chansen. Och se nu - var fram till Sebs övergång till AIK bara utlandsproffs. Iran lovade han nog en garanterad VM-plats - och han tog den möjligheten direkt.

Det är mycket möjligt att det var därför han valde Iran. VM är ju en stor chans att få visa upp sig för världen och större klubbar och det gör man ju bättre som en av lagets bästa lirare än att hamna i skuggan av Forsberg, Berg och Toivonen. Men jag tror att Janne gjorde ett misstag med att inte ta in några allsvenska spelare. Framförallt Ken Sema och Jiloan Hamad, de skulle kunna slå snurr på både koreanerna och mexikanerna. Offensiven har ju inte sett jättevass ut på sistone.

According to an Iranian fan I know, their manager Queiroz left behind 2 of their best defensive players and that has destabilized the team. It will be interesting to see how they do since they are probably the most defensive team beside Egypt at this WC.

They embrace foreign influence because they’re being suppressed, Iran had so much potential before the regime change and people are tired of the results of the regime. The whole regime change in the first place was to stop foreign influence because Iranians wanted Iranian identity, much like brexit but it was more of a war torn time back in the 70’s and 80’s. Iranians are super patriotic people and have rich culture, unlike a lot of the countries in Europe and the west in general. Take it from someone that’s been on both sides of the coin, not someone that lives in a bubble

Uhm. Dude. Why do you keep pronouncing "H" sounds as harsh "Kh" sounds? That's not how Persian works. H in Persian is literally like H in English. For example, like "Hand" or "Happy." There are a few alterations to H sounds when the H is preceded by a K or a G., assuming the K and G before the H are in the same syllable. For example, "Ahmad" would be 2 syllables. "Ah," followed by "Mad." The Ah has a clearly defined "H" sound that you get from simply exhaling. Imagine you were saying "ahhhh I know what you're talking about." But in this case, you'd be pronouncing the "h" sound by exhaling just a little. And "Mad" is pronounced just like the word Mad in English. Kh, for example in "Khomeini," has that harsh sound you keep annunciating.. That's because Kh is used to signify a sound not found in the English alphabet. It is not 2 separate letters. But 1. The same is true of Gh. Or Zh which some other languages used. To make things simple...pronounce H as H. Unless it's Kh or Gh, which you can identify by checking whether they're separate letters or not through the syllables in the word. H is H.

There's a lot of propaganda here. For example, he says "the shah was an ally..." when he was a puppet instilled after the coup detat, or that in the iraq/iran war chemical weapons were used when that was only by iraq and iran did not retaliate with chems. I can tell because of what he's said in his other videos because he seems politically informed. For example he said morsi was the first freely democratic president of Egypt and that sisi lead a coup. Obviously tifo isn't some sort of Islamist apologist(you can tell by what he said in this video about Iran lol) but he knows that morsi was democratically elected atleast despite most likely disagreeing with his Islamic background. And this proves my point that he is politically informed which is why he knew who the good guys were in Syria and intentionally decided to use the rebel flag as opposed to the official Syrian flag. Pokephosgene teymorian didn’t call because of his age , nekounam is a head coach now (he did a great job this year too ) and hoseini is mvp in iran league for 3 years in a row and had a domestic role in iran qualifying round but sadly he didn’t called for world cup .
