@@ForceOfWill100 on god, removing the transfer market was the death of MyTeam, removing story mode was the death of myplayer career, and the other gamemodes haven't died but they suck compared to old ones. 2k16 on top

FIFA 2K will probably have character progression like NBA 2K, paying currency which can be bought with real money (i.e. fifa points) to upgrade a stat. I don’t know why people are expecting FIFA 2K to be less P2W than EAFC…

Nobody is charging you $100 to make a player on 2K. Just like in EA, you can build your team without spending money. Even though 2K are just as scummies as EA, it’s just competence for all companies involved to improve their game and be better than the other

Imagine realistic player ratings so playing against Vinicius Jr or Mbappe on the highest difficulty actually gives you chills. I know I’m 2k when playing against Kyrie on Hall of Fame difficulty feels like playing against him irl. They need a dribbling efficiency stat as well so on the highest difficulty the best players irl are the best in game

@@elig2728 i am playing fifa 23 atm with realism mods and some career modes and having a blast for the past few days. NBA is not even next gen on PC and even next gen is trash I tried it over xbox cloud. You cant even fix it with mods. Terrible game. I don't know about fc 24 but FIFA 23 is infinitely better than 2k24. And I am not talking about fut, I am talking about offline modes, the things that matter

"competitive is necessary" agree, look at those fps/e-sport games, they're so fun to play and to watch knowing that there are variations of those games, many have their unique gameplay and anything

My hot take is that this is good for us that want EAFC to do better, they have some serious competition potentially, if they make the player base mad enough we may have another ultimate team or my team to go to. This is big news for us and potentially more content for us creators to try

If they have all time team, historic team, the correct name and appearance of the player league and stadium, and similar game modes in the basketball game then it’ll be great it can actually compete with each other

2k made the best baseball games. The pitching career modes with the pitches being their own joystick movements was best pitching mechanic ever.

2K will make you drop an additional £40 to level up your pro clubs player to 80 rated. This is coming from someone who played A TON of NBA 2K back in the day. I've never played a game which essentially forces you to spend additional money to play the game than 2K.

During the trailer for 2k23, I commented on the video mentioning them allowing us to start My NBA (coach career mode) in past eras, hopefully 2k FIFA allows us to play with historic teams as well.

The one thing we have to remember, is that 2k has a monopoly on NBA/basketball video games the same way that EA does with soccer(football) But once upon a time, EA basically had a monopoly on basketball videos games with NBA Live. They were dominating that market, but they started getting complacent and NBA 2k started to get better and better and then completely took over and wiped EA out of the basketball video game market You can do whatever you want when you have a monopoly and you know the fan base will keep buying regardless - but if 2k enters the market and gives EA a run for their money, we might see more effort from both companies to make the best game they can for the community because they can’t afford to be lazy and expect fans to buy anyways

You did great sharing the small important aspects of both companies being public companies. Your viewership has no attention span for that stuff but it's crucial to understanding the motives of the companies. This will definitely be heavily monetized, we just need some competition to force the hand of these companies to provide better experiences for their players. EA have had the ball for too long and have taken advantage of players for over a decade.

The only thing I'm scared of is my career being like a copy of the basketball, but into like a Volta game mode

I'm willing to bet that the gameplay would be horrendous.

Are we talking online or offline gameplay ? 2K servers are extremely notorious for their high latency and input lag/delay in NBA2K games.

A similar situation occurred when Championship Manager and Football Manager broke off. CM got the brand, and FM got the code. FM won. It's not quite the same as the brand recognition is completely different, but still, I'm betting that game content will win regardless of brand. The question is, which will have the best game content.

What sucks is that football is a very complex simulation and alot of work goes into making a game that can even begin to compete with EA, meaning that only big publishers and developers that already do the shit EA does can develop one. We will never win in this regard unless some shake up happens at one of these companies.

I am honesly jealous of real NFL and NBA fans because their game is perfect and has everything they need. Yet the biggest community world “SOCCER” has it the worst. And we are just forced to learn to let go of the sports video game when NFL and NBA fans have it perfect lmao it’s crazy

Back in quarantine, I used to play myteam for hours and hours a day. Grindable content was absolutely incredible in 2k20 and 2k21 but ever since 2k22 the game hasn't really clicked with me. Less free stuff and they start to move more towards the gambling aspect of the game. Especially this year, the myTeam creators have started to even quit because the game has completely turned to gambling as you can only pack promo cards from packs in the store. I think Fifa 2k myteam has potential but with the way that 2k has been going in the last couple years I don't think it'll be great.

I just hope they push EA to make some changes. Considering they’re likely either going to be on Unreal Engine or developed their own, hopefully it forces EA to redo their code and come up with a new engine. The dev cycle of UFL cannot be compared to a billion dollar company and their abilities. Especially since they have other similar sports titles that they can use as a starting point in the code

Something that I really excited for is that 2K always puts the classic teams in their offline game mode in the NBA2K so are they going to add like BARCELON 2009 REAL MADRID 2017 MANCHESTER UNITED 2008 and.....cause if they do that(probably gonna do)that really worth to buy in my opinion(I really don't care about online part because I don't play it)

Played 2k nba one year instead of fifa. I’m not good at 2k, my younger brother is really good and we shared an account. I had all the best players and would spend on coins instead of VC and got best players for each promo. 3 months in my brother stopped playing my team. He has never had the best players since he was F2P, but said the game is so glitchy and animation based and didn’t bother playing my team no more.
