The way she talks about the passion of discovering new techniques and unlearned materials reminds me of why I love all things art.
I love the bizziness of this video, seeing Andrea produce such lovely slick work with hat pen, nasty Rotrings ! had my share of leaky cartridges and these have given way to better Pentel instruments, urban sketching at its best sitting and chatting and drawing. And what a fantastic art store to spend your money ! I stumbled upon Sketchbook Skool by accident and so glad that I did, thank you.
This is by far the most interesting, mesmerizing video I have seen. I love it from front to back, the train, the noises, the views of the city, and that Art Store, oh how I would love to wander through there. However, watching Andrea sketch her own views and perspective of the birdcages onto paper with a new pen like that is just magical. It is people like her who humbly show us their God given gifts in full use that make life grand. A wonderful interview where you just let her do her thing! Thank you so much for this....I will watch it over and over. ...Caroline

caroline I take it you still watching this video till today, did you like the cafe where you rernt a space in it and can eat as much as you can! I know you do, but I guess if you went there you wuld eat very fast like a ninja with a timer not to draw! shame on you you are a stavrving artist :)
I loved this!!
That was the best watching Andrea! Love her style. :)
OOOOHHHHhhhhhh Fantastic! I had to run and get my fountain pen!!!
Love this video. And what an art store! I'm drooling. -- Michele
Best video for me so far! Though I do enjoy most of them, this one is holding fast the TOP SHELF! Excellent and very enjoyable. Great sketch and technique.
Elegant writer from Speedball is a good one for drawing then using a bit of water to enhance effects. Comes in three sizes.
Nice video...shopping is such a interesting exercise...especially, going into totally fascinating art shops...where it's possible to discover loads and loads: papers/pens/pencils/rubbers/paints/palette knives/canvases/armature wires/glues/sculpting tools/clay which hardens on air/-etc. I feel I could, literally, 'live' inside of art shops all day/night long. I also really enjoyed seeing those 'quick' sketches...really cool the end effects...mixtures of both line and brush! ;-) Believe it or not...; but, I actually watched this video multiple times...just to see what I might have forgotten taking in...; and, each time I re-watched it...I saw more. Andrea is a very good artist; as well as, being willing to 'experiment'.

I watched it several times as well. Always find a new little sumthin somthin.
This is a great technique! I have to try it out myself some time.
I will look for that pen as it looks Fun!
Greetings!!! I love your pen and ink drawings, I would like to do more with pen and ink and maybe add some watercolors on the top, that would be very cool!!!
I found your channel very interesting after watching some of your videos
Koosje and Andrea in tandem? I can't deal! (In a good way!)
I love this drawing. Free and gestural. Wow!
Nice video... and very interesting. The splatter technique I will try that much better option than using a toothbrush.
I recommend Everyone to try Faber-Castell 1511 black finepen: it is NOT waterproof but bleeds so brilliant into gray, purple and green (also it is dirt cheap)
Fantastic video!!! I love the sketch technique. Very inspiring. How much does it cost to rent the space? What a wonderful concept. Wish I had one nearby.

mike you would want tthis place near by so you can eat as much as you can and not to draw shame on you starving artist!
Great 😄
I loved the insights and watching Andrea showing the sketch emerging. The techniques is so wonderful. How sad I couldn't understand the name of the illustrator she mentioned. I remember a (child)-book with illustrations in this technique and never found this artist. Did anybody understand the name? Please reply and send me the name! 😁🤸
Wish I could fly to Manchester and experience this place. Covid took care of this.😔

One day!
Hello, I love the video. Can you recommend a ballpoint for sketching? Every one I've tried skips or blotches. Thanks, Ed
Loved the video and the techniques, super inspiring. But music too loud, I kept changing the volume between the music and the talking :/
Too much background noise to hear understand the insights and wisdom that was being shared … bust for me …
Noisy place
