I've been around guns since I was a kid but still decided to watch a cleaning a video now that I have my first gun as an adult. This was EXACTLY what I wanted; no bullshit, clear language, any added opinions were backed up with experience. Thanks a ton, I will definitely check your other vids and stop in get a snake and to purchase other things when the time comes. THANK YOU!

Just picked one up myself. Always been a Glock guy, my EDC was a Glock 19 for the last 5 years. But as soon as I held the P365, I knew I had to get it. The grip I get on it feels like it was made perfectly for my hand. Plus, only 3 rounds less than the 19 was a no brainer. Can't wait to get out to the range and try her out. Stupid COVID is ruining everything.

Straight forward and to the point. Thanks for making this understandable and not too long.

Excellent instruction. Very clear and appreciate the pauses and arrows when explaining.

I gotta say, one of the most professional learning vids I have seen. I give y'all extra props for stating the facts and not veering off into a meaningless rant. Great job and thank you very much, I appreciate y'all.

One critical thing to remember if your P365 .380 has a safety is that the slide won't completely reassembly unless you slightly press your safety lever up when putting on the slide.

Heck of a thorough cleaning! I thought I was the only one that understood how to vigorously clean. Thanks for a professional presentation. Keep the videos coming, friend.

This is an excellent video. I thought I had made a big mistake buying this weapon due to difficulty with field stripping, especially reassembly. Even people at the gun shop were struggling with this. Several videos were horrible until I found this. The video is clear and the explanation excellent. Thank you.

Yes, slide lock takes a few iteration before slide it works smoother. Then, only way I got it lock and stay in place was with barrel pointed left and slide in left hand, push it back and use my right thumb to push up the slide lock. Tried several ways and it sure is awkward to say the least until I did it this way.

Thanks for making this vid, very easy to follow and execute.

100% helped me reassemble my 365, had forgot to push slide stop up before returning the take down lever into the necessary position.

Yeah that threw me, I was used to Glocks. Had to sit there and fiddle for some time when I got it home from the gun store.

thanks for showing this! Getting my first p365 for my permit and was curious how difficult it was to clean it.

Thank you so much! I was nervous as #$%@! Before I cleaned I took it apart and put it back together 3 times. Man was I ever happy and relieved to hear those 2 clicks at the end to know I did it right.

I go one step further by cleaning the striker/firing pin assembly and striker channel but yes I clean it the same way. I start with the barrel and chamber using bore solvent (Hoppe's #9) and a copper brush keep doing it until I get fairly clean paper towel patches on a jag or plugs. Then light oil or WD40 in the bore and run a final dry patch or plug down for a dry bore. Scrub the outside and feed ramp with WD40 and old toothbrush then wipe down. WD40 the spring and guide rod, scrub, and wipe down. Slide the same way you do but I use WD40 and wipe down. CLP is a little harsh for my liking. I clean my striker channel out, striker/firing pin and spring assembly. Wipe and swab down and reinstall. I clean the channel with a combination of nylon bore brush, Q-tip, and pipe cleaner. Swab out with a paper towel plug and bore mop or chamber mop. I clean my frame the same way you do and wipe down. Finally I add a little gun grease on the rails, breech underside, slide barrel and guide rod ports, and any wear areas. After reassembly then final wipe down. Pistols are made better than some would give them credit for and using the slide catch to release the slide will not harm the pistol. It is faster and one less motion than having to manually grab and pull the slide back and release. If it harmed the pistol then the pistol would not be able to function as intended by the designers. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing coz its informative for me.

Exactly what I do pretty much. I clean the polymer parts on surface separately though. Some gun cleaners, solvents for sure will put some age on the polymer. The CLP's are definitely not all created the same. Gentle warm rag to wipe off the polymer and then light oil or light Ballistol is what I do for the polymer. But then again, BreakFree CLP prob will do it forever on everything but the polymer might look like mine 10 years later, lol.

If the slide doesn’t go back, make sure the safety pin on the bottom back right of the frame is down.

Very nice presentation. Only thing I would add is put a few snap caps in your mag. Insert the mag and rack the slide till the mag is empty to make sure it's feeding and chambering correctly.

Use compressed air (sold also in a can) to flush out any fluid or cleaner in any part of the gun. Every part needs to be cleaned, even the striker channel.

Question about cleaning sequence. Firing the weapon creates powder residue generally and projectile residue in the barrel. These are dry substances so why don’t you first use a dry brush on barrel and other surfaces to get the bulk of the debris off before using solvent. Seems to me you would use less solvent and have less slush to clean up. What do you think?

CLP works faster. It does not create sludge.

VERY GOOD EASY TO FOLLOW MAYBE NEXT TIME SHOW THE TWO PRODUCTS YOU WERE USING A SPRAY AND I THINK AN OIL....OTHER WISE FOR A FIRST TIME FIELD DISASSEMBLY AND PUT BACK TOGETHER JUST A FEW USER ERRORS BUT NOW I HAVE DONE IT THREE TIME AND FEEL LIKE I GOT IT... THANKS

Every now & then I remove the trigger unit. I think Sig has some stake in CLP. They push it like they own a ton of stock in it.

I thought the manual for this gun says to NEVER ride the slide forward by hand , but instead to always let it go. Riding the slide forward by hand can cause issues per the manual. Now I’m confused

Definitely tape over the laser lens or it’ll be spotty for a long time

My biggest question every time is about the Lube where to put it and how much. Seems you kind of skipped by that. Would appreciate that detail. I have a p365 & a P320 and need the same information for both.

I'll admit.. I'm older and my hand strength is not what it used to be.. but... I'm have a very hard time getting the take down lever into the 630 position. Almost to the point of selling this p365. It's very frustrating. Any tricks or ideas to help make it easier?

I thought the Bore Snake replaced the bore brush and patches. Have I not been thorough enough by skipping these 2 steps?

David Puddy Notice that the bore brush has many more bristles than the snake. I use the bore brush to scrape out fouling and such. Then I use patches and cleaner to clean out the loose carbon and such that the bristles broke up. Lastly, I use the bore snake to totally clean and polish the bore to a perfect shine. It also soaks up any residual CLP that the patches may have left.
