Don’t hesitate to ask any questions you might have about the explanations presented in this video using the comments below. We try to answer all questions regarding the video details in the comments below.
In this video, Field Output and History Output requests will be explained in detail. First their physical and mathematical concepts will be explained. In the following, the procedure of setting their parameters will be presented in detail.
For the sake of better understanding and clarification, these concepts will be explained comprehensively according to the settings of a model. The model is related to the simulation of compression test of a hyper elastic cylinder that is performed in the axisymmetric space by using both of the Abaqus/Standard and Abaqus/Explicit solvers.
table of content:
- Simulation of the compression test of hyper elastic cylinder
- Force-Displacement curve
- Typical outputs of a mechanical FE simulation
- Different types of solution dependent variables in engineering application
- Step dependency
- Setting the Field Output request parameters
- Frequency of writing the results on the ODB file
- Setting the History Output request parameters
- Special Field Output requests
- Field Outputs that are related to subroutines
- Output tab in Job Monitor

Very good clarification on the differences of field and history outputs. Thanks.

after setting history output for all nodes, the output was not visible in the result. Can u help me in this?

Hi. You must not use history output for all of the nodes. As I have mentioned in this tutorial, you must use it for getting output from some special and important nodes of your model. Also the history output is not visual because it does not generate contours like field output. The result of history output is curves in the history output branch in the result tree in the visualization module. please watch this video from our KZread channel for more clarification : kzread.info/dash/bejne/Z4Smp5uBftKfaco.html

@@FemexIran thanks for responding..... basically I need to draw averaged stress-strain curve. So for that I think I have to take out stress at every node. So what's your view ?

@@satyam123ification You are welcome. I think your procedure is not correct. For getting the averaged stress-strain curve, we use another procedure. Also it depends on your problem. I can explain my procedure according to your problem in an online consultancy session. You can send an email to me to be aware of our terms and conditions for online consultancy sessions. my email: mirzabozorg71@gmail.com
