    Hi. There is no difference between the usage of Ductile Damage model in the topic you mentioned and what is explained in this tutorial. I mean the premium version of it. Every thing is the same and only the appearance has changed. In the topic you mentioned, there is also another damage mechanism which is the delamination between the particles and matrix. To account for the failure mode, Cohesive Surface can be defined. We have also a comprehensive tutorial for this failure mode: kzread.info/dash/bejne/gWp6r5SGl7jNgdY.html Also we have a tutorial for the damage analysis of RVE based on the combination of XFEM and CZM. At 10:40 you confused angular frequency with circular frequency. You should insert 2 cycles/second instead of 628 !!

  • @FemexIran
    @FemexIran5 күн бұрын

    Hi. Please check the Abaqus documentation. There is a section in Abaqus documentation for explaining amplitude. In that section it is mentioned that: omega=2*pi*f Abaqus uses omega for periodic amplitude based on Fourier series. In our problem f=100Hz so omega=2*3.14*100=628 rad/s All of our tutorials are based on Abaqus documentation and even we have a tutorial for how to use it.

  • @mariogalindoq

    @@FemexIran sorry, but when you insert the amplitude, clearly says circular frequency. Circular frequency is different to angular frequency. Is the amplitude input window wrong? Please see your video at 10:40 and you will see that the input window clearly says circular frequency. If this is wrong, it should be good to report this mistake to Simulia. It is not my intention to disturb you. As a matter of fact I think your videos are good. But here there are a problem. Thanks.

    @@mariogalindoq Your problem is that you do not read the Abaqus documentation. Please read this section in the Abaqus documentation version 6.14 which is available in Google: Abaqus Analysis User's Guide>Prescribed Conditions>Overview>Amplitude Curves The formula is written clearly with an example about periodic amplitude which T=0.2s so f=5Hz and finally omega=10*pi=31.4 rad/s I hope you can finally understand.

    @@FemexIran you are right! Abaqus refers the angular frequency as circular frequency. I think this is a mistake in Abaqus because in the literature normally circular frequency is in cycles/second and angular frequency is in radians/second. Thank you for your patience.

    Hi. Most of the Abaqus warnings do not affect the solution and they are only for caution. Having or not having warnings do not guarantee your solution at all. There are much more powerful tools and indicators for finding the convergence issues like job diagnostics tool. Actually resolving convergence issues in a nonlinear FEA can be much more complex that you can imagine. We have two other free tutorials about how to interpret the warnings. here are the links to them: kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y4h8t6ubo5DKeto.html kzread.info/dash/bejne/f5-pppOJfZebp9o.html

    @FemexIran 1. Max number of increments exceeded. 2. Force/moment equilibrium is not achieved 3. Excessive distortion of elements 4. Excessive rotation in dof at the point And so on. From my point of view this is really not too bad idea to look in output files to check what is going on in simulation. I used to work w/o graphical interface, so both mentioned above files are key for problem solving and debugging.

  • @FemexIran

    @@user-jw7ki8gv8r I have seen a lot of cases that the analysis was completed even with the mentioned warnings. Because of this I say that resolving them does not guarantee the completion or not completion of the analysis. So the material behaves in a perfect plastic manner and when it is in the plastic region, the stress will not change and remains equal to yield stress. If we define hardening, it behaves according to your expectation.

As the temperature increases, the structure should bend. The only material properties I have are Young's modulus, Poisson's ratio, and thermal expansion coefficient. I've set up a static general analysis and applied a predefined field for temperature. After submitting the job, I obtained the desired results. Now, what I aim to do is to automatically increase the temperature from 20°C to 90°C in a single job (if possible), and then plot the maximum displacement as a function of temperature. Hi. You are welcome. Happy new year. For applying a concentrated moment to a surface or section, I always define coupling constraint but I have also seen some tutorials which use rigid body constraint. I have not used rigid body constraint at all but I know that using coupling constraint is totally correct and it works. When you define a coupling constraint, it means that the initial distance between the RP and nodes of the selected surface will not change during the simulation. So the distribution of moment will be in way to satisfy this condition.
