Awesome video series . I'm definitely going to give this a try. I just keep stopping my journal because it was hardly ever with me. Then I'd just forget to add things to it. With the feild notes I'll always have it with me. Thanks for the lessons.

It was fun following along. I also carry a pocket bujo. Currently using the Moleskine Cahier. The thing that stood out to me was how in tact your field notes was after a month of use. My pockets seem to wear out FN to the point of smudging the text and the front cover graphic fading off the surface.

Thanks for watching. So far I’m pretty impressed with how well it is holding up. It’s usually carried in my shirt pocket or a front pants pocket. We’ll see how it looks in another month.

I carry a field notes too, daily mainly in my back pocket and I walk a lot, move a lot and still holding pretty good. The cover will feel worn out but the pages are just fine. Also some scars on the cover but nothing too crazy. Loved the playlist !

Thanks so very much for watching. Mine is starting to get a “patina” to it. I’m surprised how well it’s holding up considering how it’s getting so much use.

Been awhile (8 yrs), since I've seen a traditional Bullet Journal scribbing notes....good to see, these being applied in a pocket notebook , instead of an A5 size ... 4:51 I find the field notes also , easier to carry around .. your green pocket book is nice, but i find with mine, they tend to come apart at the seams over a short time...field notes, I don't worry about it.

Thanks for watching and following along. I’ve tried A5s but I just seem to forget about them and stop using it. I really like just throwing a little notebook in my pocket.

I purchased a quality passport wallet to replace my actual wallet. It holds a few cards, cash, and the notebook. I cut the back cover 1/8" to fit the pocket. Using it as a wallet means I always have it with me even when I don't intend to use it. I can also fit some scratch paper in the bill area if needed. I find the staples are durable enough, Usually the cover's spine rips first.

Such an interesting use of Post-It notes. I use a similar system, but using an Atoma note of virtually identical size to the Field Notes notebook, so that I can add, discard, and reposition pages at will. But I have used a Rhodia notebook, identical in size to the Field Notes, but with amazing Clairefontaine paper. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for posting a mini-series on using a Field Notes booklet as a pocket Bujo. I appreciate it because others who have shown this have only done a One & Done video while you showed it over time (granted a short time) with the minor changes you made. Just started a new 3 dot booklet on Oct 1st and will be trying to have the whole 4th quarter of Oct, Nov, & Dec ‘23. Using the same size as your Field Notes pocket notebook, but wanted a binding better than staples because using as EDC that’s always with me it’s heavily used. It’s a Moleskine Cahier, 64 pages, stitched binding and last 16 sheets are perforated for easy detachment to leave notes for others while keeping binding attached. Last month I incorporated your idea of a Long Range log box at the bottom of my Future Log that covers 6 months with 3 boxes on left page for next 3 months, and 4 boxes for following 3 months after that + LT log, and have incorporated it into the new booklet for the new Qtr. I already had yellow stickies in back of notebook 📔 I was carrying in pocket, but now keep one sticky for scratch on the 2 page spread of the week where I’m making notes or tasks for the current day. This is the most I’ve ever used a “planner” with tasks actually getting done instead of disappearing into the electronic ether, and this one is a “make it as you go” version. PS: I like your post on pocket knives, too. I have a little Gerber on my keychain my spouse gave me about 39 years ago. I use it most days.

Thanks so much for following along Karin. I may try out the Cahier next. I like the idea of a stitched instead of stapled notebook. I’ll probably do more content on edc notebooks as I go along. The older I get the more I forget 😁. If I don’t write things down I’ll get myself off track pretty quickly.

@@SigogglinJack Did you see in the latest mailbox stuffer to get you to order stamps directly from USPS that they have first day issues of a bunch of different stamps on the cover postmarked on a set of 3 Field Notes? I’m going to get my recently retired form coworker a set with waterfall stamps. He was admiring my little Bujo in a field notes sized notebook & said he will try it in November. Love sharing ideas, and I’ll share your series so he can get more ideas on what to include. 🤩
