Give it a try to see if it helps. Thanks for posting, as it is a work in progress. For years used a free from the pharmacy monthly calendar booklet like that before having a daily planner at work. Haven’t had either since retiring 10+ years ago, using the calendar 📆 app in my phone. When I started experimenting using a Field Notes I tried drawing out a weekly grid on one page, but it didn’t get used enough & often had wasted space, which is what led me to using a one page monthly overview and doing a weekly via one day at a time as I go. It typically takes 2 pages like that as a week. I did tape to edge of back cover a business card calendar with 2023 on one side & 2024 on other so I could tip-in on any page when I wanted to see dates.

Yeah I’m liking the looks of it but I’m not sure how it will be in practice. Don’t think I’ll be able to get away completely from the two page monthly list view. Overall I am going to have a hard time going back to my pocket A7 moleskine. This thing is so slim in the pocket. I’ll do an update and report back. Thanks for watching and sharing Karin.

I'm back, trying to catch up on this Gr8 Field note pocket Bujo Series... I enjoy the birds eye view , of a monthly calendar spread.....It looks more natural to me, than the Calendar listing. I put stars on the dates where there is a Bday ... I highlight the monthly holidays (yellow) On the following page (past the calendar, i have 2 pages open for writing about the month's dates and events of that month..) then I put up another Monthly calendar spread...and followed by 2 pages for writing about the dates, events etc...

Neat idea. May have to use a lot of abbreviations and symbols to mark events and then go to list to look at full details for that date.

Thanks for watching Glock Ninja. My memory is getting pretty hit or miss so a little reminder helps.

I use my pocket notebooks for rapid logging then migrate anything important back to my A5 at end of day where I also add tomorrow’s appointments back to the pocket notebook. Basically an end of day review routine.

My A5 is my central inbox that everything is collected into mixing Getting Things Done with bujo methodology.

That sounds like a great strategy! Also like that you have a time at the end of the day set aside to reflect and plan for next day. Excellent!!

@@SigogglinJack It's a technique I picked up for David Allen's Getting Things Done (GTD), most days it takes less than five minutes.

@JosephDickson I read his book too. Very good book. I like the idea of incorporating GTD with BuJo. Thanks Joseph!
