FIELD FIND 1969 CHARGER! Will This General Lee RUN and DRIVE again? With
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
"If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved." - Romans 10:9-10
Check out Dylan McCool's video where he dives way deeper into what it took to bring this Charger back to life here: • FORGOTTEN General Lee!...
On this episode of Sally’s Speed Shop, we pick up a killer new project, but this one isn't for us. This 1969 Dodge Charger is the dream car of it's owner, but life got in the way of him finishing it before other responsibilities took over. So we're going to step up and help finish his car for him and his family. This first installment of what is sure to be a very fun and rewarding series shows us picking up the car and taking it over to none other than Dylan McCool so we can see if this old General still has some life left in it and if it still has what it takes to give the law the slip!

I have driven past this car for the past four or five years on my way to and from a spot that I hunt that’s close to the home where the car was. I’ve always wondered what the story was with it. I often thought about stopping to see if they would be interested in selling it but seeing the new paint I just figured it was in a process of restoration. But I kept seeing it set there. So I’m setting at home watching some you tube videos when I see a new one from Dylan’s channel about a charger with a fairly fresh paint job in southern Indiana and I’m I like “ no way ! “ that’s the charger I’ve been looking at all these years ! What a great story ! Awesome that you are going to help them get it back together and back on the road again. I will definitely be watching to see the work till it’s finished.

Best part of the video is when they're driving the Charger around with the old school Dukes of Hazzard music playing. Too cool.
The cop chase was the perfect touch. 😂
Jacob really nice you got Dylan involved with getting it running. It’s definitely alive. And Dylan chasing the car with his police car was too funny. Thanks, for sharing. 💯👍

REBEL HERE MY FAV SHOW dukes -you guys funny and had fun well done
This is my dream car a General Lee. First thing im buying if I ever hit the lottery.
You'd probably love the latest car I've been drooling over.. it needs everything that one has though, wiring, floor, body repair, paint and who knows what else.. guy wants $3500 for it though and yes, it's a Mopar and it's basically the same as one of my dream cars just a lower tier model. I wish I could go get it.. I don't want to say too much more about it so I don't see it instantly disappear but then I also am likely not ever going to be allowed to go get it so.. catch 22 on saying what it is or not. It supposedly had a 440 in it but someone swapped it to a Magnum 318 and 5 speed but they have a 440 block and parts for $750 which I figure put together could be sold for at least double that.. but then there's a 38 Chevy for sale for $2500 that's probably got $5k in parts value in it and I'm not allowed to get that either. -.- welcome to living at home, be thankful you don't have that issue Jacob :P God those engines are so anemic.. I get why Steve Brule calls them "a big block with small block ports" if you compare them to a 351C 4V head they are absolutely tiny. Yeah 440: 2.18X1.14 351C 4V/2VCJ: 2.50X1.75 351C 2V: 2.04X1.65 purely based on the area of those numbers that gives you 440: 2.4852 sq in 351C 4V/2VCJ: 4.375 sq in 351C 2V: 3.366 sq in.. In relation all non-HIPO FE heads were 2.34X1.34 (3.1356) intake ports and the HIPO were 2.71X2.34 (6.314) the basic 429/460 head was 2.18X1.87 (4.0766) with the 429CJ being 2.51X2.11 (5.296) and Police Interceptor being 2.20X1.93 (4.246) unfortunately I can't seem to find volumes. (Boss 429 is just a round 2.36" hole.. 3.707sq in) Some of those actually surprised me with just how small they are and it amazed me just how big the HIPO ports were and how they are actually somehow more area than the 429 ports. My personal favorite Mopar engine is the 340 Six Pack.

@@SallysSpeedShop - Maybe if I was stood there, it might not look so man made. Maybe cos the land has been worked and leveled off, it might make it look a bit out of place ? I've looked at plenty of stuff about what they call "The Mound Builders" and some of the mounds were excavated in the 1800's and large skeletons were found inside. The Smithsonian rocked up and took them away for "study" and they were never seen again. The Smithsonian deny all knowledge of them. But there are plenty of old newspaper cuttings to show what happened. Looks like a cool place.
