Doing a good job here, I like your construction methods. Obviously you want this boat to last a long time.

Only the bold try something worth the risk only to learn something as a result. You triple layer folded cloth application was almost perfect, sorry it didn't work out. I think we all learned something from that effort. You do excellent work and are creating a fantastic boat that will give decades of service. Keep the great content coming.... With great respect.... You’re doing a very good job. The old rule of thumb for your radius’s or fillets is to be the same width as the ply or boards you’re using. 15mm board- 15mm radius. It ads structural strength.

That's awesome mate!! Just found your channel and watched em all back to back 😂 like the details of what gram glass you use and how many for strength. Maybe what disc's you use and stuff for sanding and any other info would help am amateur out haha. Cheers legend.

Did you lay CSM because your 1708 had no CSM backer or did it also have CSM backer?

We don’t normally use 1708 here in Australia. What I’m using for structural glass matting is called Double Bias and it does not have a CSM backing like 1708. That’s why we always using a bedding layer of CSM before laying DB.

with 3 layers on the floor...1 being DB you should have gone across, not down the hull...just my opinion. (3 restorations and a full new build myself)

@@ADVENTURES_ADRIFT Good Lord no !!....your work is solid and well thought through. The problem you had with the layup was what I was talking about. Laying across ways would have given you less stress and fewer problems with bubbles etc. That thing is a tank, the DB is your strength, the Chop was probably unneccassary but is good for a final top cover. I doubt the boat will ever leak!!
