I just tried the exact same repair. I followed the steps you laid out and it came out perfect. The fiber gel is tricky to work with, but man, it comes out strong. Love these products, and I agree, the oval brush is really nice to work with. Thank you for showing us the Varnail line.

So pretty!! Your model's natural nails are so nice as well. Would fiber gel work on excessively flexible nails? My nails are soft and bendy so cornors don't snap off they sort of tear like paper you've bent back and forward until it comes apart. I hope that makes sense. I'm looking for something with strength to support them but rubber gel isn't strong enough and builder gel peels off the corners when my natural nail starts to bend.

I have the same problem, its actually the first time I've heard someone else describe it. I tried rubber gel too and it was good but not good enough for the problem. Lately I have been using Octagon Fiber Gel by Didier Lab and so far this has worked the best and lasts almost a month, sometimes longer. I hope you are able to find something that works for you.

wow, this looks really cool! I don't really know anything about professional manicures or nails, but I do have a question: do you (or anyone) have a recommendation on a simple nail reinforcement product? something that can just be put directly on the nail with no base coat and won't require curing under a light? My dad plays guitar and has an issue with one of his nails cracking right in the middle; the crack starts at the tip of his nail and runs upward toward his cuticle. He's been using a clear nail polish to help strengthen his nails, but it really only prevents the crack from getting past the half-way point of his nail.

I know they have silk wraps for nails. But I don’t think it’d be strong enough for keeping the crack from spreading. Honestly an acrylic overlay on that one nail would likely do the trick!

Hey can you tell me or recommend somethings to grow natural nails that are not growing. Also for nails growing upwards on the ends. Have you ever seen this?

When using fiber gel, do you use isopropyl alcohol to keep the brush from sticking as you apply it to the nail?

You don't need a special liquid because you apply it as you would builder gel. It's not like polygel.

This is such a genius idea but when I tried it I got a tiny piece of fiberglass stuck in my thumb too small to see and it would just randomly stab me so I had to cut it out of my skin 🥲 so no more fiber gel for me lololol I’m going to have to try varnail brushes! I like their gel polish
