Fiat SCUDO Camper van - (English version)

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Here is a small movie to show you how I transformed my commercial vehicle Fiat Scudo into a mini camper, practical and discreet.
The whole builded as a kit, and you can easily knockdown it to become again a commercial vehicle !
I also replaced seats by seats of Peugeot 806.
In the "kitchen" part, we find the washbasin, the reserve of water, two batteries, an electric converter 12v / 230v, and the power supply of the lighting Led stripes, as well as the probe of temperature / clock / load auxiliary batteries, for the back part of the vehicle. There is also, a stove suitcase and dry toilet.
This work can be realized in the same way on Jumpy Citroën, as well as on Expert Peugeot, of the same period, which are in reality, three vehicles stictly the same.
The model of this Scudo is 2000, and had been build from 1996 to 2006, until it's been restyled in 2007.
Any question, just ask !

Very interesting- I have a Peugeot Expert L2H1 that I'd like to do the same thing to. Fortunately I have an old caravan I can take a lot of stuff out of. I use the Peugeot for light removals, so can't have permanent fixtures in the back. I need to buy the pukka roof rack, so i can put a couple of 500 watt solar panels on the roof. (I live in Spain, BTW)

Good Job!! You changed the front seats, may them be from a Citroen xantia or Xsara? Any modification to fix them in the original fails? Thanks in advance.

Hi, Nice build and thanks for the video. Have two questions about the details though. 1. Did you use any of the anchor points in the floor? Can you give some details about the way it's best to fix things and keep them in place? 2. Can you perhaps provide some exact measurements for the components? Thanks in advance

Hi, no, there's no anchor points. Everything goes together like a puzzle, and keep together in place. And for the mesurements, I did everything step by step with no plans, no draws, sorry !

I like it a lot , I am wondering what support do you have for the middle section of the bed? surely a support at each end isn't strong enough.

yes on every boot, you have a strong lenght of wood, and the wood board is thick.

Alex Gilroy Hi, if you mean the length of wood to build the boxes, I used a size of 3,5 x 3,5 cms section, but I can't tell how much for the whole conversion !! sorry

Hi, I use seats of a 806 Citroën, but you can use also the seats of an Fiat Ulysse that are strictly the same. The plus is that you can turn the passenger seat at 180 degree ! ;-)

  • @commentfairesoismeme

Well, for me not so much difficult because I'm electrician. But actually, it's very simple. I used a lot of led light for less consumption, and a very simple diagram. Make it simple. Everything is plugged in the sink box, protected with fuses.

I don't understand the transition between the circular base at 03:34 and the table at 03:46. It appears something was removed and something different took its place.

  • @commentfairesoismeme

No, nothing has been removed. The circular base is use to put the table with 2 screws. Then when you put the base down and use the table for the bed.
