@@94balkrishna Every 10k Kms with STP engine flush and Oil addictive by Liquy Moly and Mobil engine oil 5w40 grade moreover I use fuel injector cleaner every 5000 kms to keep in perfomance mode

i lost my fiat punto in an accident last year , it was total loss because of the fault of a truck driver but it saved me and it still hurts like a bitch when i see another punto. One of the best cars ever made

proud owner of Fiat Grande Punto 1.3 MJD. and this car was designed by the Legend Giorgetto Giugiaro awarded car designer of the century.

Punto owner from Australia here. At 179000km, the DualLogic transmission is failing. The engine, although the little 1.3 Multijet is a very strong little engine, the rest of the car is compromised in this country. The bushings especially do not cope with the distances and roads in this country. You can see this in the resale values. My car is worth about $2000AUD. A Toyota Corolla of the same age and mileage is worth at least $6000. I hope that one continues to give good service. They do drive well while they work.

Punto is a great car. But that doesn't mean people don't get emotionally attach to their cars. I've Hyundai i20 and you have no idea how crazy I'm about it. There were 3 choices before I bought it. It was swift Figo and i20. Figo has best performance but the lowest NVH level amongh them where petrol swift got me for it's fun to drive characteristics with lowest maintenance. But with all the confusion I went for i20 diesel. Had several trips with it and man I'm totally in love with it. And what made me fall in love is the smooth drive. Best in class NVH. And looks. So it's the person's emotion for car. And that car could be any. And the reason why people don't get emotionally attached is they don't care about cars. Cuz they're not interested in go cart driving. Everyone has their own interests.

I think mine is depressed :D Accelerating uphill is an insurmountable task for it. The pedal is floored on 3rd/4th gear, the revs are in the 4-5k region, but it takes 15 - 20 seconds to reach 100 km/h from 70 km/h.

Yes mine too 11 years, it had steering mounted audio controls, voice commands, bluetooth connectivity, 4 star ncap, abs with ebd, automatic climate control..at that time. For 6.75 lakhs on road.. We are still using this beast along with our Kushaq, so currently have 2 beasts at home❤️😇

Me 2 I lost my 90Hp red and black Punto in accident. It was absolutely joy car to own. I have tears in my eyes watching this video. My Punto had done around 135k kms when it meets it's fate. 😭😭

Congratzzz. You just showed what exactly the Fiat punto is. It's built for "Enthusiasts" which are seemed to be a rare species in our country.

I love my punto, it's 10 yrs now and yesterday only came doing 1k km trip

Punto diesel since 2011 ,done 160000 and still performing better. An etios banged at the back bumper and the etios had its radiator and compressor smashed…but punto stood without a scratch with only two number plates lights hanging which was fixed immediately.the etios owner was scratching his head…was like an impossible scene.

5 th year of owning Punto , Felt pride and proud of owning !!!

I so wish Fiat makes a comeback to India, and launches the punto updated along with their other amazing cars!

I have a 8 year old Punto 90hp, and every time I push the car it brings a smile. Superb handling and so much confidence inspiring.

I used Punto for 3 years and take my word, it's just fabulous. Excellent road grip, massive power.

Seriously each and every line you described this car is absolutely true and your words " It's not about how fast you go , How you go fast that matters " only a true that too a 1.3 multijet driver will know its meaning. 💯

Glad to see people complimenting the car in the comments instead of arguing about Maruti Baleno, Swift or Hyundai cars. The only hot hatches are Fiat Abarth Punto and Polo GT TSI.

I owned a red Punto, sold it a month back... No doubt the Italians know how to make cars. Though mine was a 1.2 petrol, lacked power all through the rev range, the engine was sufficient enough to make it move gracefully. But my god the way it would handle. The hydraulic steering! Driving in the hills around goa, the Punto was in a class of its own. Though I hate Fiat for not mentioning a market presence, not updating and launching new models, not maintaining parts nor service centers etc etc, I love them fro making cars like the the Punto and the Linea. I urged my fried to buy a Linea and he did. I miss my Punto, but not that much. It’s a horrible first car to own, but for an enthusiast like me, there is no better option

If this was the top trim with all the bells & whisles + the modifications = FANTASTIC CAR !

IKR Apart from a turbocharged engine and fake RS badging (Road Sport lmao), the Baleno RS is nothing but a crap Baleno. No extra additions to make it a so called *_Hot Hatch_* And that engine is what is sold in global markets, producing 100HP. Marketing the *global* *Standard* product as an _RS_ version in India is just bonkers. The Abarth Punto and GTI are light years ahead of that tin can.

So rightly reviewed..Punto is absolute delight as well as fun to drive....not sure how this car dates back to 2005 when Punto was launched in India in 2009 summer. I remember this because in 2005 when I played NFS MW, this was the 1st car one would get at 15 position and just because it was part of the game, it made me buy it as soon as it was launched in 2009...I have got my punto painted in matt grey color....good to go buddy with more adrenalized reviews of yours

My fiat Ferrari just clocked 100,000 kmc and still a beast when it comes to riding and handling. Still feels just like new engine and so safe and confident in high speeds.

Even after 1.5L km this punto looks so much fresh.... best punto i have ever scene in my life... owner maintained this car so well

I still have my 2008 punto and the damn thing drives as good as it did 11 years ago. it still looks pristine bc i take good care of it

Bought a new punto last December.. changed the suspension kit with the shorter suspension kit that came with 2008-09 models.. changed the rim with 16 inch.. I checked every other hatchback before buying the new one.. apart from polo, none came close.. polo is equally good but not for the rear seat.. So I dont mind having a car with no START STOP button and with mediocre rear space..

When great cars are in market such as Fiat, we talk negative about them and discourage others from buying them. But when they (car companies) are leaving Indian market, we give great farewell saying all its positives about it. Typical mindset..

Punto was absolutely a drivers car..3.5 years of ownership is still fresh in the mind.Anyway I leave this mean machine due to lack of service availability..you can literally swerve it around the corners with single hand..

Proud to be a punto owner 🥰..using the kid for about 3 years

The gear just shifts fine with feel. Only thing is you have to shift it with good timing and correct revs. If you shift terrible it will let you know and good shift s come with ease when you really learn to do it. I do like the light control on left so that i can indicate while steering with right hand. Esp at nights in corners you can do dim/ bright /signal with left hand and control steering in comfort and sharpness with the right hand. Yeah the steering is close to your hands and you sit far back, the car is wider and you have the whole view from left mirror to right when you can sit far back (the right way to sit). The bonnet will not however block your road view in this vehicle. Such a great machine. And please don't say fiat is unreliable after doing these many edited to it.

I have seen couple of reviews of yours before this one. I own Punto & Ignis currently and I had Liva petrol and Manza QD in past. I must say you know everything that anyone needs to know to make a decision to purchase new/resale car. Good job. Take car

Whenever I see a Fiat review, it takes me back to my first ride which was the Palio 1.2. A sedate car in city but a totally mental one on highway.. The way it used to build power and cut through corners. Sung a silent, hypnotic sort of lullaby. In all of those 13 years of ownership, never driven it with both hands and am not the only one to confess that. Shame on you marutti fan boys for pushing a fantastic product out of market only because it could not go to jupiter on a single tank.

Our Fiat Punto was stolen, April 2017. We bought our Italian bad boy in 2015 drove it for 22k kms before a thief decided to break in and steal him. We bought a Grand i10 in Oct 2017 as a replacement because the cops didn't know where the Punto was. In Dec 2017, we got an info from the Police that the car had been found. When I went to the police station, our Exotica Red Punto had been repainted with dull white emulsion paint. I literally cried seeing the state of it but I wanted by Punto back so bad and we decided to repair the damage. But it wasn't sufficient as the thieves had already exploited the vehicle very badly. Torn seats, broken AC vents, Sold spare tyre, about 30k kms in 5 months had an irreparable damage. We still have the Punto, we take it to long drives, but I don't feel the legendary ride quality and precise steering because of the way it was handled by the goons. It will be a sad day when I let go off my Punto. Faisal's review reminded me of why no matter which car I decide to buy next, it will never hold its own against the Italian beauty. Thank you Faisal :)

Hi Faisal fantastic review of Fiat Punto, I m also proud owner of Fiat Punto diesel and I can feel the thrill you experienced when you drove this beauty as I also feel the same when I drive my punto. This thing cannot be express in words it can only be experienced. But unfortunately, in India it is cosmetic and accessories of car that is focused and not the anatomy of vehicle which makes the car sturdy, driveablity and handling which adds preventable measure which reduces accidents in tough conditions and assist the driver in such situations. Service cost of Fiat is high when compare with Maruti Diesel Cars.Fiat using Synthetic oil but same engine Maurti using ordinary engine oil cost may vary.Some Parts may share from TATA Diesel Cars Oil Filter same as Maruti Diesel Cars.Air Filter,Diesel Filter Same as TATA Vista/Manza cars. Timing chain set same as Maruti diesel cars.It is cheap and easily available.Clutch unit same as TATA Vista/Manza car Fiat both Linea and Punto body shell is heavier than Maruti Cars.The Fiat cars more safe when compare with Maruti . Fiat vehicle can locally serviced by Maruti diesel car mechanic Thanks to FIAT

I own a Fiat Punto diesel top version since 2012. My honest review regarding punto diesel Advantages :- 1) Fiat 1.3 MJD engine is super reliable if engine oil is changed at every 10,000 kilometers (Though Fiat recommends 15,000 km interval) 2) Car is super stable on highways and corners 3) Build quality is like Tank. Once i hit a muscular dog at the speed of 110 kmph and mind you nothing happened to the car and same incidence had happened with brezza of my friend and it broke brezza’s radiator , condenser. 4) Highway mileage is good which is 22 kmpl and city is 14 kmpl 5) Weight of Punto is 1200 kg even though it is hatchback 6) Ingear acceleration means 40-100 in 4th gear and 20-80 in 3rd gear is strong Disadvantages:- 1) 1st gear is very short like Truck so it sucks in 0-100 acceleration but it is very helpful in pulling power on ghat section and in offroading 2) Gearbox is not as smooth as hyundai gearbox. It has rubbery feel but there is no mis-shift. Gears slot in perfectly every time provided you shift immediately to their position and then gearbox doesn’t feel notchy. 3) Most important drawback was servicing and spare parts availability till 2017 but now after launching Jeep Compass Fiat has become quite serious about maintaining their service centres. So Fiat car service is now done at Fiat/Abarth/Jeep workshops. The only concern even now is that rare items are not available on time but you will get it in week after ordering. Also parts are available online on 99rpm.com

@@arunprasath9864 No, fiat supplies original parts through their online store, 99rpm. I sometimes visit Jama Masjid and Mayapuri in Delhi (I’m from NCR) for some of the costlier parts that aren’t worth it. Haven’t had a single issue for parts. The current punto I have is the fourth modern Fiat in the family, so we know how to source parts.

Please review the Hyundai Accent CRDi and Daewoo Cielo. Those two cars were true gems of their time. This was a great review indeed. I remember the time when Fiat launched the 1.3 L Diesel mill on this car somewhere around 2009 and what a fabulous engine it had. Punto and Linea, both are those cars which deserve a comeback in the Indian market as even today, India lacks such cars. It's a shame that people only go after Kitna Deti Hai tag line than focussing on such thoroughbred performance driven machines. Punto has everything, build quality, decent features list, punchy engine options but just because of the lack of service network and a few ergonomic problems, which Fiat didn't consider all its lifetime, they have met such a destiny. However, I seriously feel that Fiat should revise everything and launch the Tipo sedan and hatch as a replacement for the Punto and Linea as consumers are now aware of what should they go for and if such issues are resolved, it would kill companies who can offer only a good mileage figure. Please don't quit India, Fiat as you deserve your pie of success after so many years' struggle.

Proud owner of Tank (Punto 1.3 MJD ..)

I own 2014 linea tjet petrol. I sat in my friend's Honda city no doubt city has good space but what I realised is that it can't match the comfort of linea. I have revved my car and gone through the tuffest roads it never disappointed me. But it is expensive on maintainance.

I always loved the punto. It looks cool, the name "PUNTO" also seems to be nice.

The basic behind punto's driving handling dynamics is that it has hydraulic steering which is so precise as the way ur brain thinks to control the vehicle. Nowadays u get this replaced with electronic steering control... Could u belive this tank weighs equal to u a s cross which is 4.3 mts...why fasal u too didnt even feel its hydraulic steering... Anyways a big thumps up for cheering those who really purchased fiat by heart rather than mind

Had a Fiat Linnea tjet 125s and lost it in the recent flood in kerala.it was the best car that I have driven in my life. Will miss it
