Does the speakerring come off the speaker or do you have to buy new ones when you buy different speakers

They're firmly attached at the back. So if you break the back of the speakerring you can remove the old speaker and insert a new one. However, there are no mounting holes for the speaker in the bracket so you have to be creative there.
