Hi John, Mandy, Coop. The van's come a long way and now it's your new home. I like Coop's den, I'm sure i could fit in there somehow! But...you've left something out John, and it's a big one. You've plugged the coffee machine into 13A, but you haven't plumbed Mandy into the coffee machine !!!! That's your next project John, so get the finger out. Gorgeous! Fellow Aussie here. I have the Avan Applause 500 2016 Fiat Ducato 2.3lt 150 multijet but theres a lot in it I dont need or use, like the domestic air conditioner on the roof. Plan to have it removed eventually, sealed up and another 150W solar panels added. Love your lighting and open under bed space. Mine is closed off and compartmentalised with draws etc. wastes so much storage space. I never use my shower, prefer long hot public showers, so its a laundry, also have a rangehood I never use, just open the windows when cooking. If the next one gets custom made a lot will go. Love the color of the van, wish I had an oven instead of an unused microwave. Freecamp always. Thanks for the vid. Happy travels. Im FT 3.5 years so far. Magic! Overlooking the ocean as I write 👍🖖

In the middle of my conversion so managed to get lots of ideas from you.... I particularly liked "Mandy's back doors". (You're a funny man 🤣) My van isn't as high (Ford Transit Custom LWB with high roof) but I will also have my bed in a similar position so I loved Mandy's ideas with the weighted fabric to cover things when "Mandy's back doors are open" (You started it!). Anyway great video, made me laugh and also got lots of ideas, so thanks for posting! 😁

Carpy Stevo unless you are not so tall, sprinters are narrower at bed height compared to fiat platform. This is why, I believe, the fiat platform is so common.

Hi Jon, I have a similar vehicle and have added a second sliding table connecting rail - low down on the panel behind the sliding door ( where you have your stickers). This enables you to use your table outside in fine weather. I also use mine to cook on - with a gas camping BBQ and hot plate. Great for fish etc and keeping food smells out of the van. You can get them on eBay for £20.

Very nice!!! I hope to meet and hang out with you guys once I get my van. Love your personalities.

Looking good. Once the house has sold sold you no doubt have plans to travel. I will be interested to see where you go for the winter. Full marks on the electrics. You know your stuff and it is integrated well. Yes fairy lights are very important. Not enough dog coverage. Dogs are important parts of Van Life blogging. They can also help keep/get fit with lots of long walks. Plenty of woodwork videos on KZread to help you reach expert level. I must check to see how you routed the reversing camera wiring assuming that's in a previous video. I appear to have power provided up at the stop light but not the video cable. I discovered that the Hymer badge on the van's grill was just fitted over the Fiat badge without affecting it so I now have a nice Fiat badge instead of the Hymer one. Still have a few badges but many less than when new.

I have a Fiat badge to fit in place of the autofail badge, just not got round to that yet. The reversing camera for the Garmin is wireless but the one for the rear view mirror came with the van. We do film some cooper bits, but it's just us not knowing how much to include of him and if people like that. We're still learning 👍🏻

We wrapped the pipes and tanks after we fitted the heater pads that keep the tanks from freezing up. Not had any issues but it wasn't that cold this winter. Innuendo bingo 😜

Love the mods you done, but judging by your latest video in Portugal you're thinking of doing it all again in a larger van. Good luck. Finally get our 2018 Sunlight Cliff 600 (fiat ducato) ex-rental next week, Think we will also struggle with the bed height as the wife is only five foot two inch.

Nice van tour,I want no am getting a ridge 🐒 I can start some inventive cooking.

Any more mods and I reckon you'll be close to having done enough to put a "Built not Bought" sticker on it. Maxxfan over the dining area would make a huge difference to ventilation plus some extra daylight up front.

Looks great, nice to see all the improvements and refinements You need a posh badge now that says 'Refined by The Gadgets' or maybe 'Redesigned by Gadget John' & 'Styled by Bee_Roll-Mandy' - like the Ferraris & Fiats used to get the 'Styled by Pininfarina' for the special models 🙂🚐😎

Nice van tour, totally honest about what was 'wrong' with your van, built by the 'big guys' , but they don't put the love into it like a self build or a revamp does ( lots of blood, sweat & tears) we have been watching you guys for a while for inspiration. Our first trip in our self build was to Camp Quirky 2019, had no idea you were all there!

Loving the rear door treatment - did you do a video showing how to do them? Want to cover the standard plastic covers on mine and was thinking of using the 4 way stretch carpet - but your idea looks great but a "how to do" video would really help

Hi John and Mandy great video and great conversion my wife and I are looking to buy a lwb ducato would it be possible to have room for a toilet and shower.

Don't want the mess of a shower when you can do that in someone else's but you do number 2s in your toilet, that's unexpected lol. Very nice van though.

Why did you de-brand (take stickers off)... Why do you ware those shorts.? are you legs too long or are they long shorts for a 7 to 8 year old... Why have you only got 150 watt solar, that's ok for summer but is it going to be enough for a cold winter as you are going in it full time...? why Automatic gear box..? and has it got enough power to keep up with the Whippet Taxi..? Great stuff both.. See ya soon..

WOW, OK here goes. Debranded because I don't want to promote the makers of the original van. Shorts are perfect, you're just lack style 😆. 150W was perfect over the winter too, cloudy rainy days still pulls in 5 amps easy, plus you drive around and get plenty of charge from the engine, over the last 12 months we've never been without power. Auto box as I've got a very bad left knee. It's got 130BHP and plenty of power to get to the top of the alps and even keep up with the A-team bus. See you in a couple of weeks.
