Yeah, I ended up losing interest at multiple points because this just had a lot less pertinent information, less humor, less structure. I do not prefer or like this structure of presentation of information. I'd used your videos as the gold standard of gaining information about new releases and checked all of them... I'm not going to bother watching the Ibuki video because I'll just end up having my eye glaze over like they did for this one. I watched the whole video and still don't know what Avalon does. I have zero desire to watch a video in this format. The effort you put into the video is lacking, and so is my interest in the video. You get what you give.

hmm... I respect that you want to try something new but I'd say I like the old format more since it's recorded video and scripted, you have more time to arrange and choose wording more clear and concise information.

Same. While i'm usually all for spontanity, in cases for information i prefer scripts as they're less error-prone. For non japanese speakers it's also hard to follow at which skill/passive etc he is and i can't retain all information by him just talking through it. I like to wind back and check the text, but can't do that now. I feel more inclined to just jump to the evaluation of the Servant and check the translation elsewhere this way. :/

Yea these came out a lot less structured than I'd like. So going forward I plan to structure them a bit more and add sections like with the old spotlights

I'm just glad the servant reviews are back! Felt like we haven't had one in a long time.

Personally, I don't know how you see her as amalgamation of Waver, Tamamo, Merlin, when she is an Arts sidegrade to normal Merlin. I somewhat understand Tamamo for the Arts buff but Waver? Lady Avalon's first skill is just Merlin's third skill but Arts, same numbers and everything. I feel Plushie's video on Lady Avalon paints a better picture of her pros and cons. For example, while her NP is now only 5% per turn for 3 turns, the fact that she buff Arts means she has better synergy with an Arts DPS and another Arts Support. This means more Arts chains and thus more NP. Also you do want to spam her NP, that's the main point of Merlin and Lady Avalon.

I say Tamamo because arts, and Waver because of the charisma, NP drain, and role as a secondary support in most teams. Its just a matter of perspective, calling her arts Merlin isn't wrong either. I just feels she has elements from more than just Merlin in her design

I dont have a merlin so im gonna roll for her. Im gonna go np2. Delaying this next 3 5*s is a no-no coz there are other servants that i also want next year.

Yea I also didn't like how all over the place I was in these, in the future I plan to make these a little more scripted and structured and edit in graphics so it's easier to follow and I can get my points across better

I have 800SQ and 100 tickets and I am dumping it all for NP5 Lady Avalon. I have NP5 Castoria max skills and appends and im currently leveling her to 120 and i want to do the same to lady avalon

Hell yeah! I'm doing the exact same! Lady Avalon is the perfect match with our NP5 Castorias. I'm shooting for NP5 with 1,200sq. I wish you luck friend 🤞 Glad to see I wasn't the only person who felt this way. 😁 I also think she will go great with my NP5 Miyu for other missions, it's really fun to stack the attack buffs she gives.

I mean I feel like the sentiment of 'arts side grade' for Merlin holds true but a massive thing I feel that is understated because she's a pretender you don't have to worry about a random rider crit melting her HP bar giving her a edge over Merlin and other caster supports but that still might fall in the bucket of niche CQ use

She's just Arts Merlin with some tweaks. Those tweaks can be both good and not as good but she's still really good especially if you don't already have a Merlin of your own

Nope, saving for Ibuki. I still mainly run an arts team (I have my castoria, but missed out on Oberon) and I'm not sure how viable quick is in NA atm. Still, good luck to all who are rolling for her.

Looking forward to rolling for Lady Avalon since she's so beautiful and has twintails. I know the other summer servants are better than her but I don't even have Castoria and I could use a new fancy arts support. I've got a nice chunk of SQ too since I lucksacked Arc so I can freely roll for Lady Avalon while having a decent amount to try for Ruler Skadi.

Sadly I will only be rolling a couple multies for her, since Ibuki is my main target.

I managed to keep myself in check and my whole 600 anniversary quartz is ready to be thrown at Skadi. (And maybe Lady Avalon because i like her looks) Afterwards i need a new Servant to gun for. Probably Tiamat or Beast-Nero, but that's quite a bit away.

I don't know if the mat-drop-ce's become usable once you can limit-break them or if you're stuck with something like +20% (because you'll still want a damage-ce on your farmer i guess) which is only slightly better than nothing i suppose.

Managed to get all the summer servants on JP two years ago and as busted as Ibuki and Skadi are, I'm going to prioritize Lady Avalon over them. I found her to be quiet fun to use in various team comps and having a pretty strong alternative to Castoria is always good.

Gonna be pulling for Wu, Ibuki and Skadi. I want to summon Succ but four might be pushing it too far this year

Back on Nerofest rerun, i use a triple support team with Skadi, Tamamo and Castoria against the Hassans. Basically Skadi is there to give extra survivability with her evade and anti-instant death and giving critical damage to the party. Her kit reminds me of the same vibes as that run, though youll probably run her as the main Card Damage dealer when against Knight Classes, and making the other ones the Card Damage dealer against Cavalries. Boubica has some interesting synergy with Castoria, and Merlina and with her star weight, she can abuse the arts crit and continually use her NP to Beef up the team. Her weakness to assasins can be covered by castoria, and Merlina can handle the knight classes.

Appreciate the confirmation of what I was thinking of doing. Do a multi or 3 and then pity it up for Skadi if need be ~~RIP the 120 quartz on x2 Xu Fu but no Arc...~~

Well, this is an... *interesting* way to make the Servant Reviews. 🤨 Not sure if I'll get used to it eventually, but I'll definitely miss the charts you used to pop up. _BUT,_ we'll see where we go from this! 😊 My main target this upcoming Summer is Erice and if I get Ibuki as well, so much the better! If by so.e miracle of GOD I still end up with some Quartz remaining by the end, well... I'm torn between trying my luck on getting Lady Avalon or Summer Skadi.

Day one of summer banner: pulled both Lady A and Saber Gareth. Wondering how much I strained my luck stat today.

I actually like building Pretenders. No skill gems needed. Usually just have to worry about QP.

430 sq ready i be buying more and saving more lately on lady avalon is the one Servant want the must.

I'm rolling for her hard on my f2p alt account because I'm trying to assemble some kind of immortal team. Got Castoria, got Himiko on the Destiny roll, and looking for NP gauge and HP support. Or... am I already there if I have Miyu? Hmm... I may need to test that before rolling.

Her NP gives 5% charge at NP1. I plan on rolling for her as she is my main target. If I have anything left, I'll toss a few rolls towards Summer Skadi (she's good but she doesn't fix Quick as a card type, so not a main priority for me).

I love G&A servant reviews, I enjoy watching them. Over like the past 6 or so years, it's been another source of excitement! I wish we shared the same feelings of Lady Avalon 😭 I feel almost the exact opposite. Just like how Castoria was a 100% must-have servant, I think Lady Avalon is a 100% must have addition to Castoria. They are like 2 puzzle pieces made to lock together; The DLC to Elden Ring, The Tails to Sonic, The Luigi to Mario, The Worms to Sakura, The Kirei to Kiritsugu... I don't have current plans to pull for her myself. I don't feel like I need her. My plan is to pull on melusine's rerun banner later on in the year. I have NP1 i'm just looking for NP2. I will NOT be pulling again until summer 8 because multiple copies of Summer Melusine and baobnan sith are calling my name. Luckily arc came home in 8 tickets.

This is where my tickets are going; I guess.

I never got any of the LB6 Supports, but I am saving my 700+ SQ for Lady Avalon. I want her specifically to help strengthen my Melusine. If all goes well, I'll get at least two copies of her before hitting zero SQ, but I'll settle for even just one copy.

The NP charge on her NP is 5~10 for 3 turns, scaling with level. She needs to be NP3 to give more NP than Merlin... Still, she s a really good support.

FGO summer priority for me: 1.) Ruler Skadi 2.) Lady Avalon 3.) Summer Ibuki

The way I see it Merlin has been a bastard and will not appear to me in any banner I have rolled in so all I can do is see that as a sign that I need to at least try one or two multis to see if I can get lady Avalon since she is arguably on similar footing as him. Plus my Castoria is getting so tired she needs someone to back her up!!…lol

So right now my go to stall/cq team is: Merlin+2030 Jalter+aerial drive Jeanne+magical gurl sapphire Mash Herc+bond ce Random support Im thinking if i can get proto merlin ill build a team that swaps merlin for her, obviously. And id swap jalter for Yang gui fei with honey lake

If you had to choose between prioritsing Lady Avalon over Summer Ibuki, which would you choose? I've got Space Ishtar at NP4 along with Castoria and Tammamo Caster and thus am wondering if NP1 Ibuki-Douji is worth getting or I should focus on Lady Avalon instead.

Given your situation Id say go Lady Avalon. You would need at least NP2 (prob NP3) Ibuki for her to be better than your NP4 Spishtar

I have only Tamamo and lower rarity dedicated arts supports, but have Morgan, Summer Musashi and Skadi and also lack Castoria and Merlin. Would that justify rolling LA over the two banners?

If you already have S.Musashi, then S.Ibuki is less of a priority for you. Whether you want S.Skadi or LA would depend on how much your roster lean in regards to Quick or Arts. If your main DPS is S. Musashi then LA would be great. S.Musashi, LA and support Castoria wouldn't be 3T looping but it'll be great for CQ. On the other hand, even if don't have a main Quick DPS, S.Skadi can be that Quick DPS, the problem is that she is a Ruler. Meaning she deals doesn't have class advantage except Moon Cancer but she does have a Anti-Lawful NP. I'm not familiar with her numbers so I can't tell you what she needs to 3T turn loop effectively. Also while she is the best Quick Support, she does buff Buster as well, so she can somewhat support Morgan as well. If you are still conflicted between S.Skadi and LA, then I'll recommend S.Skadi because of the 4 stars in their banners. S. Wu, in S.Skadi's banner, is an Anti-Undead Support and is much better than S.Gareth, in LA's banner.

The problem with rolling her next year is that next year's servant are incredible. And will pull her even further down the line. Instead of fighting yourself to say yes, just be honest and say no. Me, myself I np4ed her and she's been great so far

Ah yes, the only Servant left for my pity to score for this year to fuel my Arts looping addiction sponsored by Castoria & the loopers that are in my account(Muramasa,Jeanne,Percival,Habetrot,Sieg,Ranmaru X,Taisui, and to some degree Oui).

Even with or without Merlin she's amazing. TBH when she first came out majority of people don't even get what she meant to do. Long skill time? Yeah because she can literally prevent 2 NP in a row! It prevents NP spam so of fking course the cool down is high... This is the same as Merlin protection but twice in a row. This mean people should calculate the value of its cool down as divide by 2. Her cool down value is 4-5... Also her NP is better than Merlin. Max HP > Healing That's a fact. It also help your defence too.

No. She's a better Merlin because she's arts focused and you didn't emphasize how useful her combo of overcharge level increase with castoria really is.

I did, I mentioned she pairs well with Castoria, but ultimately shes a more niche CQ unit specifically made for stall teams. If that's what you need then by all means roll for her

I dont have Merlin but have Castoria, Skadi(caster), Koyanskaya of Light. Should I go for Proto Merlin or just go Berserker Ibuki and Ruler Skadi?

Do you have any of the servants who gives NP overcharge on their NP? If answer is yes, I would say yes as you can then form, with no assistance, the immortal team. For instance, I have 2 versions of such: Himiko + Merlin + Castoria and Morgan + Merlin + Castoria (actually I have Reines too, but I would always use one of these two over her). LA is can sub in directly for Merlin in this setup, and can even be superior and it is very powerful and versatile team setup for challenge content. If you lack said type of servant, it is still good, but means you'll be limited to supports for the 3rd slot who often won't have the correct CE which is not a deal breaker, but does weaken it.

Personally if you already have castoria then i would just recommend skipping, unless you really wanna double up on arts supports or just want a Merlin since i would argue she is the better Merlin.

Honestly the problem with Lady Avalon is really not that she's bad. Rather its the gacha pool. Like I will be real... Everyone should get the Berserker one first... Once that happens you can choose to get her since Lady Avalon is amazing for summer Berserker.

No Memelin or Castoria, she's my main priority and nobody has managed to convince me otherwise.

Tbh I rolled for her because I had nearly 1k SQ, she's a Pretender and honestly... Really controversial opinion but I don't like Oberon's kit (got her NP3 with 55 pulls though)

Oni, what are you talking about with the 3rd skill. It's a team-wide invul, of course you use it on the turn the enemy is about to NP. The point of the delay there is it takes the enemy longer in the next cycle to get their NP. You don't have to delay the use of the 3rd skill the way you implied in the video here. Just use it the turn the enemy can NP, that's it. Unless you are in a farming comp and you just need overcharge, in which case you can use it whenever just as a battery for Lady Avalon. Edit: Okay Oni, you are tripping on some stuff now, how is Arc the best buster dps in the game? How? You need her NP3 just to do enough damage to clear the most basic farming nodes out there, she doesn't even come close to at least a dozen much better buster DPS servants currently in the game, people like Arjuna Alter or Melusine (how are you forgetting Melusine, who does much more damage at NP1 than Arc, even with neutral damage AGAINST avengers, lol, who Arc does full damage to). And I said a dozen other buster servants, but I bet there are even more than that who are better at just about anything they do. Now sure, that doesn't mean Arc is bad, not by any stretch, but she absolutely is not worthy of the praise you are throwing at her in this video. Lady Avalon is a better investment for a player looking for meta pulls than Arc, and it's not even close. So if people go meta over waifu (which they shouldn't) you just skip Arc's banner and go for summer, prioritizing those servants instead. Oh and Castoria is the best arts servant, not summer Ibuki.

As of this day forward, Lady Avalon shall be known as Merlina 🧙‍♀️, Oni himself confirmed it by calling her Merlin (close to Merlina) 😂

Live is for the hardcore, scripted is for the casuals

As someone who has bond 11 np2 kama, I would place her above spishtar but below ibuki for obvious reasons, however as with the case for all arts loopers, if you already have a pretty good currently invested on arts loopers then there's not much reason to roll for it, unless of course waifu reasons which is the superior reason.

Well you said it, she is a broken whale servant. If she is np5 she makes merlin him look laughable bad. Otherwise, she is bit pointless. In my case, I do think she is great bc I already have a bunch of good arts dps, have all art supports and also really enjoy doing more variety comps, and she helps with variety bc she can enable servants that depend on arts, heal, and survivability and overcharge! So having extra supports can always be good for long time players. I'LL also roll for skadi, just hoping my 1800 sq is enough to get both and I can keep a bit for next servant banners that I'm looking forward (Rasputin, even know he is not that great, mother harlot, tiamat and aoko. Happily, I have a lot of time). Also I Don't think ibuki is a good investment if you have s.ishtar/musashi berserker/other good aoe arts dps. Of course she hits a bit harder, but at np1, it's not that far off, if I remember correctly (specially if out of her niche). So yeah.

Gonna take a break After losing 800sq..

It is, I have no idea where he got the 2% figure. It is 5% for 3 turns at NP1, 7.5% at NP2, 8.75% at NP3, 9.38% at NP4 and finally 10% at NP5 (all for 3 turns). So she gives a total of 15, 22.5, 26.25, 28.14 and 30% over those 3 turns. Now this does mean it is worse total NP than Merlin until NP3 and that is important as generally she'll never stack the charge while he will since his is longer. Likewise she doesn't heal as much either if you assume a 3 turn cycle.

Arty needs his gremlin around to keep things interesting for him. Im definitely rolling for her as one of 3 arty bros on NA.

The original spotlight is better with the gameplay in the background...

Had to go Pity for one Arc, it's a miracle I not only reached Pity, I managed to build 3.5 multis since then. So about one multi for each banner. My luck has never been great, 7 years and no double 5 multi's or anything, so I can only pray paying for the GSSR and the Destiny will "get me some luck" and I can maybe pull one or two of them.

annoying having to wait 2 years for NA to get the content.

Main reason I'll roll for her is because: 1. Proto Merlin 2. Really good for Muramasa memes 3. My Castoria is Bond 14 on both accounts now.
