I've done this before, even without "multiple choices" questions I could get to a similar ending. Maybe with them taking a picture together, but even better. I'd suggest to Cindy since they're both hikers and share similar interests that maybe they should hike together more often so that "Noct doesn't have to." And they could both appreciate Prompto's picture's (since she seems to have a passing interest). A mutual hobby turns in to talking and talking turns in to respect and that can lead to a relationship.

I always thought they really blew the opportunity to show the time skip properly by having a much more mature Prompto married to Cindy with kids. Get the chance to show how he was really natural and cool around her now and how they had a mutual relationship not based on worship. It would have been a nice cap on Prompto's story to see him being confident and happy.
