I use Clemency whenever tf I want

Had a healer screech about me using clemency because I was at 10% hp. He proceeded to die in every boss fight while I usurped his unnecessary role and carried the run even taking stack markers solo because I can. Pld is the true gigachad tank.

I did this same thing when the healer kept dying in a dungeon. It gave me a sense of joy no other tank class gave. My healer wasn't toxic about it tho they just apologized for dying

As a healer main, I'm cool when a PLD uses Clemency on *me* because I'm usually low on my list of priorities when it comes to chip damage or when I know I'm not going to take damage for a bit. But it also gives me the "OMG the big sexy knight is protecting me UwU" feels.

My friend jist got me into this game after trying to convince me for 2 weeks straight. I gave in when I saw him playing paladin and he saved a dps with clemency and healer got mad at him and he started just repeating "And I'll fucking do it again dont test me ill fuckin do it again" This shit made me Crack up so hard

As a WHM main, this means I can spend a little MP healing and more time being the green DPS I want to be? I'm with that! You go Paly's!

@@semiramisubw4864 I play WHM cuz its a simple class to play and mashing Glares and Dia's is just plain fun to me. And if I'm feeling especially spicy, I see how closely I can save my teammate from death! I know it sound it sound kinda messed up, but with its mana issues, it pretty much lends itself to that kind of play style cuz lets be real, its healing output is POTENT! I especially love warriors cuz then I dont have to worry about healing them too much and I focus on Damage

Healers get upset. Except when my party was wiped, and I was the only one alive, and I defeated the boss solo with clemency :P

I mean, I have had a healer just lose his shit on me cause I used Clemency, it was funny, they refused to heal me for the entire dungeon after I did so. We as a team promptly kicked the healer (early EW)

Sometimes when I pull as PLD, I cast clemency on dps that's short on health. I think the healers appreciate it cuz they can just focus on the tank and keep their dps up. That, or they're just silently condemning me. I'm not gonna stop casting it tho 😝

It's because the whole point of efficient healing is that I'm doing more attacks and fewer GCD heals. If PLD starts using GCD heals to make up for a perceived 'lack' of healing (when there isn't one) then they are counter-acting my efforts to maximise DPS output as they are sacrificing their damage.

Bosses in dungeons are the easiest for your healers to heal....save your defense for 3+mobs....sheltron+rampart on easier mobs....sheltron+sentinel+reprisal+armslength for big mobs or hallowed ground for hardest mob

ah, don't worry about the heal in your caster rotation, the dev made sure that, its always in the boss phases where you don't actually need heals

If I'm one smack from dying and the healer can't be bothered to pull his head out because they think Jocat told them they have to DPS over healing I'm using clemency. Ive lost track of the number of randoms where the party wipes because they don't do mechanics or the healer isn't healing and I end up finishing the boss. Oddly enough seems to be alot of stormblood dungeons. I imagine this is how warriors always have felt.

@@acehealer4212 ff14 doesnt require a good PC. This game is very well optimized and also has alot of settings to save ressources. Im playing on an old ass 800 euro laptop from 2014 and have no issues.

i keep it on my bar for DF runs where the healer(s) die. ask yourself this, is it a better use of time to clemency yourself/the DPS and clear the fight in 2 minutes, or wipe and do all 10 minutes of the fight again and hope the healer doesnt fuck it all up again.

a good paladin never uses clemency unless healer is REALLY bad, or dead, or theyre using it just to proc divine veil or whatever its called. Also the hate for PLD job quests is hillarious and shows how stupid people are and how shit their taste is. It's not the best... but lol not the worst by a long shot, hell a lot better than the GNB one. WAR one only gets a pass for being funny.

I love how all the PLD mains here are like "We use clemency to try and help out our healers as much as possible" and then at the same time are like "But we admit we are scared to use it to help our healers" XD We just good bois trying to do the right thing in fear of doing the right thing XD Healers die: :O PLD keeping the entire party running on their own: PLD: 0 commendations PLd :')

@@itsyaboiherman biggest difference would be having the ability to disengage without losing uptime for an extended period of time...party mitigation is top...higher survivability in solo....just overall more versatility for PLD now. WAR still has the best invuln and the healing is crazy, but I see a nerf incoming to that. WAR is best for mt position also

@@ActionDucky fuck em. if they wanted the dps to be topped off or healed then they shoulda done it before the tank took the time to target and heal them. they are only condemning cause the tank is doing what they are suppose to do. its the same concept of when people wonder why some tanks get mad when people try to run ahead of them or pull the aggro right off of them as soon as they pull or before they even get to the mobs.
