Magicked Prisms are the "Event is over and I have 1-2 Tomes left" item, just there to keep you from having them rotting on a retainer til the end of time.

ixion was a common mog tome mount and i got mine during the first mog tome. its good to keep an eye on the mog events because they do have a lot of repeats

I remember finally getting the Magitek Predator in a random 50/60/70 and being super happy about it, because I'd been trying to get it on and off for a while, and then it came up as a moogle reward like a week later.

I can't overstate how easy it is to get Ixion (and any other FATE related reward) once you get yourself connected with Faloop. Get those mounts, people!

The Prometheus and Byakko Triple Triad cards are a must if you don't have it. They're super cheap tome-wise and getting them from the trial or dungeon can be time consuming. They are also part of getting the rare Triple Triad mount, a huge grind that only gets easier as you casually obtain cards.

Farmed the tower at paragrim's breach 10 times in a row as a caster in one day to get a casting torso, but it refused to drop, so yesterday i got the raid on an alliance roulette when i was a bard and somehow it dropped and i managed to get it with GREED The RNG loot system is nuts!! 🤬

@@soldierorsomething I ran copied factory at least 30 times to get the scouting hat, it never dropped in any of the runs I was in, and half the time I was the only ninja in the 24 man. I did eventually get it but my brain was fried by the process of waiting in hour long queues.

Don't get the Vath orchestrion roll for tomestones! The Vath start at friendly unlike other beast tribes, meaning you only have to unlock them and do 3 dailies (for the currency) to buy it

I wanted to mention that you cannot do the trial for the revelry kamuy just solo.... Susano requires you to have at least 2 people unsynced because of a mechanic that will one shot you otherwise. if you have anxiety or dont want to deal with other people for whatever reason, this is a good one to get.

the max I can do solo is the last containment bay extreme. with 630 gear. just got the mount yesterday. trying to see how many mog tomestone I can cut.

@@rtbear674 if you have a tank on 90 you can solo Lakshmi, just takes a while to kill. Haven't tested it on dps but killed her several times for WTs on tanks.

Not sure if worth mentioning, but for the Kamuy Fifes, the Reveling Kamuy is AFAIK impossible to solo even on lvl 90 because of the "Rules of Nature" phase. But should be an easy farm with just one or two mates. 30 tomes isn't much so if you're someone who avoids doing extreme content with others even unsynced then by all means, get the mount with the tomes.

@@ANDREWxDELUXE I think what they mean is that this is a way for free trial players to GET the kamuys. Normally, free trial players can't, but the kamuys are available even if you don't have the EX trials unlocked. Same with Ixion. The only things that are content-locked are the riding maps and Triple Triad cards. If free trial players grind out the moogle tomes, they can get these mounts even without Stormblood access.

This is actually the one time that I’ll be farming the heck out of these tomes. I would normally only get enough for the special 100 tome item, but with the new MGP mount I’m going to farm as much tomes as I can get.

You can easily run the dungeon to get a Predator with a friend unsynced if you're both at 90. Does take a few runs though. I was running through all my lvl 90 jobs just to see which could clear the fastest.

the " a long fall" orchestrion was added to the eureka orthos lootpool, thats why the price tanked a lot lately :) another way to save yourself some time and gil if you want to do orthos anyways. i got mine through that too..not sure if it was gold or silver sacks tho funnily enough i had just looked for information about a new moogle event last week and decided to start farming the magitek predator and voila, here we are haha

Seems to be back up quite high, I noticed now after spending most of my tomes... :

Not as big a haul as last time, but a few gems (the Nightmare and the 50 pt mounts look promising).

You can unsync the dungeon solo for the Predator if you want. It’s not that bad (I mostly did it as a DNC and I think I finished it in around 7 minutes?) plus you get all the loot to turn into the grand company for seals. Personally I’d do that before using tomes on it.

Take a look at the Ipsusu Shaders, I use IpsusuGameplayWarm in the lite version which just changes colors and nothing else

I have Nightmare horse mount, it dropped randomly when i was farming something else, not bad if one isn't outto get it.

MGP is priority over all potential gil from market items which price will fall for months at least. If something cool drop with mgp price tag (big one if it's cool) in the future you can't accumulate it as easy as gil.

Farmed nightmare for about an hour the other day and got it. just hit garuda over and over. at lvl 80 it was a 1m10s fight.

Prometheus card took me forever to farm, I think the drop rate is pretty low so I'd recommend buying it here.

my friend and i farmed nightmare out within an hour. maybe took us 30 runs to get two of them so genuinely i would just farm it.

I think Megalotragus is probably the only thing worth it this time. And obviously the earrings for collection purposes.

HW ex trials are all solo-able especially as a tank, stormblood and up need atleast 1-2 more people unsync.

Btw, it isn't possible to do the content that gives the tomes unsynced right?

I really wouldn't bother going for the Nightmare mount. You can skip Ifrit's nail phase on BLU or a level 90 job with decent burst (e.g. SMN). Runs take ~10 seconds each. It absolutely will not take hours to get one at the current level cap.

I probably did the dungeon for the Prometheus card about 50 times a few months ago ;_;

the only thing on there that i might consider getting is the black hayate. i can solo Holminster Switch but i main WHM so it takes me like 45 minutes LUL

Not having done it before, I waited for Ixion to spawn, based on Faloop, all weekend, running Alexander1 constantly while waiting. After doing Praetorium I reappeared in zone to see the weather had changed. Found Ixion’s fate only to see it had just 9 minutes left (don’t know how long it had been there while in Prae). Waited a bit but no one showed up so finally pulled it solo as Bard just to get some horns. A warrior and healer showed up after a minute. With just three minutes of fight we got him to 90% then gate failed. It still shows as open in Faloop though - why? Does it keep respawning until killed then go into the 36-72hour closed period? Might just spend the 50 tomes as it is dullsville waiting for the fate if it is only open for a few minutes.

White Lanner - The Limitless Blue (Extreme) solo that is more than difficult, otherwise farm runs would be piece of cake IMHO

Question; Does the treasure trove specific items from previous events get rotated in again at some point? Or will you just never get those items if missed?

It totally depends; sometimes they come back around, sometimes they don’t. There isn’t a consistent “rotation” or anything though, so if you see something rare that you like, grab it!

My strategy with the Triple Triad cards is to play triple triad while I'm queing for the Tome instances. If I get the card before I farm the tomes then I don't buy it. If I can't get the card during that time then it's worth the tomes.

Well..... I am not a big fan of mount. I do frontline regularly. I guess l Will just dump these tomestone on emote and orchestration.

IDK, this event seems like one I'm going to skip entirely. My mind is not made up yet, but nothing seems really worth it so far. I just cleared the entire MSQ and still have enough to do that's more important to me than porxie earrings and a bunch of stuff I can get without touching this event. That said, if I happen to do anything that just happens to coincide with the event, might as well take the rewards.

I loved this game so much. But eventually got sick of playing Barbie dress up. Wish there was real rewards like powerful weapons or armor or something else that was not glamour. Glamour is the end game, that doesn't work for me sadly. But I'm still subscribed, I still like hearing from the game and how is doing.

sadly no dragon mounts, i will be skipping this event, i only did it for the dogs and seeign there no dragon mounts in this i could care less
