GATEs from Gold Saucer do reward moogle stones, me got 4 of them for Air Force One. but it was a perfect 5000 points score, perhaps there is less reward just for participation if you attend every 20 minutes even low lvl chars will amass a heap of stones

@@rivenoak I tried the Leap of fath one. I HATE HATE HATE jumping puzzles, and there were over 100 people jumping around when I tried, making it very difficult to impossible for me to get to the harder jump points, I eventually gave up, and only got ONE tomestone.

to be fair its kind of hard to top the 10 year anniversary mog event and I wouldn't think they would try to so soon.

@@Null_Experis This event is more for the incoming Xbox players, while Part 2 will probably have the next gwiber for people to get and probably a few other new little things to get. This event gives current players something to do in lower level zones and content, which can help those lower level zones and instances feel a bit more populated for the incoming Xbox players, and the Event lets Xbox players get some neat items to get started with their adventure, like Shinyru Dog or Titania Gwiber.

Just as a note, the rewards for the 2nd genesis run are already known too, the place i found it was on ffxiv collect.

@@teysa.k It sucks it that's the case but the site says for now that it's the same tomes but we won't know for sure until that event happens. I'm more concerned that they might nerf some of the ways to get tomes if they see it's too easy to get them in this event.

Thanks for this breakdown! I know the rewards are a little meh, but still some fun things to get. So, about the Ostensibly Special maps- they are guaranteed portal for lvl 80 SHB. I think it’s always the Shifting Oubliettes- which has a chance to drop Ballroom Etiquette: Decadent Decoration, the “paint it…” emote. This emote is currently selling for 500k ish but I would bet that price will go up once Dawntrail drops and everyone wants to play Pictomancer. Also, in past Moogle events, you could not trade for TT cards you didn’t have unlocked. Specifically, the card from The Burn dungeon as an example. If you didn’t have the dungeon unlocked, you didn’t have the option to get the TT card from the Itinerant Moogle. Not sure that would be the case here, but since these cards are behind side content, might need to do that first.

Have to agree a lot of stuff on here is not to hard to get normally. Something of note though, the rolls, while they may be relatively cheap now, I notice whenever a roll is featured during mooglestones, it actually shoots UP in price. Case in point: The End roll was selling for 30k for unfinished. During the event, they were bought out, and people were selling the finished rolls for 300k or more, and so any unfinished rolls that went up on market after that, were 300k as well.

Thanks for the video! I'm a 1.0 player that never stopped so I've got the majority of the rewards in any given Mogtome event, but this cycle I'm missing the Yukinko minion (it used to be a LOT more expensive until the bots took over Eureka) and a few of the orchestrion rolls, so I'll grab those. I always use leftover tomes for the Ostensible maps. Made about a million gil in my last map party, from an enchanted elm wood drop. (Plus maps are just fun to do with friends. Ultimate casual content.)

The ostensibly special maps will in the second hunt be replaced by guaranteed elpis maps so there they'll be even more worth it

I like the structure of the event, as it has added some variety in attaining the tomes. The rewards leave a bit to be desired though. I wish they would add a couple more exclusive items.

just FYI, now that its been out for a few days, its worth noting you do get Genesis Tomestones from Gold Saucer GATE events. It's worth noting in the same way the PvP was noted. Also, the special site does make mention that the second hunt for tomestones will commence before dawntrail, looking at the timing of this one I'd nearly bet its back to back. Everyone have a great day! Also, now that we've seen how easily the tomestones can be obtained, how would you rate the statements "not worth the farm (due to time farming)" now?

Thanks, I always share your videos on these events with others because they are clear and succinct. Especially if something is on the market board, I'll just wait for the price to tank as the event goes on and grab it when it's low.

Titania: If you're collecting cards, don't buy this with mog tomes so quickly. This card can come out of a Dream Triad Card from the Gold Saucer. There are cards that ONLY come from a Dream Triad Card. Run through packs until you get all of those cards that are exclusive to a Dream Triad Card then if you didn't get Titantia use mog tomes to buy it.

Can you save these for the second part or will they change the currency? 🌱

I am a big gate completer. I like doing them as a break when I am doing chores. From just doing gates at the Saucer, I have 70% of the total items offered already. Super easy way to get everything.

As a non-90 player, these are decentish rewards. I dont need to grind much and can get some neat new trinkets. 150k isnt a lot since im doing crafters as well so have steady sales, but free unlocks for playing the game is nice.

if they added in the yukinko snowflake before it was added to other content (I believe bozja? or maybe orthos), it would have definitely been worth it tbh. It used to run up to several million gil back when I used to farm lockboxes for it in eureka

Decisions Omega from Exdeath can be farmed Solo as BLU, as well. That is provided you have Exuviation selected to remove Doom. Not sure if the TTK will be the same as going in solo as a healer with an avg ilvl of 640, though.

I was soloing Exdeath as BLU in about 5 mins per run. Make sure to bring at least basic instinct, exuviation, and self-healing if you attempt, tho.

Re: farming O4n: Bards can also remove debuffs, using Warden's Paen. The same skill can also prevent a debuff if you're anticipating it. Since a Bard can output damage a lot faster than a healer, this may be your best bet to solo farm it, if you're not taking too much damage.

Decisions Omega can be farmed as Bard, this job can remove doom as well. I like this event more than the previous events already just by it having less items in it. We still don't know how hard it will be to get tomestones, but I'm hoping won't be hard and not devolve into mindless duty spamming of a single duty. Yes, I'm looking at you, P1. That said, I will likely go for the more expensive ones as i don't already have them and don't intend to spend time in The Firmament due to time constraints.

the order you get them in is ultimately subjective- buy whatever you want most first then go down the list. personally I buy the most expensive items I want first!

A little annoyed that the Gwiber mounts aren't a reward. Can we not with the ARR mounts already?

Exactly, I just took a break from FF14 and keep up with any updates to see if' it's worth coming back, I farmed out the last moogle tomestones and got the fox mount from Stormblood finally, this is a little underwhelming.

I was soloing them as level 60 RDM, Titan was only one that was tough because you'd have to glitch the mechanic where he locks one person in stone.

@@SrBlacken The horses are the simplest thing to get....at lvl90 you can kill almost every boss in 3/4 GCDs.

How important are the weeklies and such? I can't do them due to my level, is it worth pushing my way through the story instead of taking it at my current pace just to try and get them done, or is farming the old fashioned way good enough for this event, you think?

No, don't worry about the event if you aren't max level yet. These events happen regularly and they're just a good way for players to get items they don't have yet. Farming them regularly is a bit more tedious in some cases, but especially for this event you're not missing out too much. The next one will probably happen in a few months so you've got time until then

Might want to make a disclaimer with marketboard items is that prices will vary depending on server, so your prices may not be the same as someone else's prices.

Ffxiv collect has a page that lists the rewards you can buy from the second portion of this event. Not sure if its accurate or not though.

no need in a decision; me completed Air Force One GATE from the Gold Saucer and it rewards moogle stones. seems you will be showered with tomestones for small effort this time and you should be able to buy out the full reward list eyes closed. no need to pester extreme trial bosses etc. :D

The items are literally all things I already have so I'm gonna use it to funell mgp tokens to get closer to the 4 mil mgp mount cause it's the only mgp mount I'm missing

Its honestly easier to get the Proto Ultima horns here, because that fate dies way too fast, and actually isnt safe from some blue mage spam. Maps are also a really good deal, since you can grind for a few then ask others to also bring their maps. Do a FFA loot party and get a good bit of gil and a chance to get some rare titles.

one day they will do some other map than the 80 ones. Still have 60 from the ADS BLU farm back in the day xD

Dont forget BARDS can cleanse as well with wardens paeon ...for duties that have "esunable" dooms

I'm gonna bet that theyre holding the good rewards for the second set of irregular stones. That's where we're gonna see the Gwibers.

I feel like gwiber was just for 10th anniversary because it was so special. Gwib farming is still current, so I doubt they will give more gwibs out.

Mogpendium solves several issues with these events, 1. it stops people from doing the same thing every time 2. People who do not play BLU can actually farm more easily since no BLU meant you couldn't farm since people would either kick you or not join your PF. Which left you with PVP if you wanted efficient tomes. Shame the rewards aren't super great this time though. Side note the 8400 tokens in firmament isn't even that hard it's 1-2 lockouts of t4 items...you can maybe do it with t3 even I just use t4 as more points @.@

Can you do this while on the free trial? Just started on Xbox.

My big question is, will the tomestones we farm from this event, be able to be used in the 2nd? If so, then I can just farm stuff up for the event, and not have to mess so much with the 2nd.

FFXIV collect says it's the same tomes, but it also shows the expected rewards so you can see if yourself it you want them.

I've been grinding the firmament for the Pteranodon mount, and I've seen the Dhalmel maybe 3 times and two of those were no first prizes (I had time to get 3 jobs to 500K). So that's very likely my first purchase on the list :)

It’s really underwhelming but , it may keep a couple people busy. I got the neckerchief and the tribe mount bomb palaquin and a couple of gs cards. But I think I may jump back in later in a couple of weeks.

does anyone have a tier list or list format of everything stated? easier to reference while farming haha

The late Allagan glam is from PVP. So you would need to get the currency from that and then go to Wolves Den to buy the rest of the glam.

is it mentioned if the tomes will roll over to part 2?

You should expect 80+ hours of grind. So, during a previous event, a fast way to farm the time, was doing a Lv60 raid with the same group on repeat. The runs were about 2 minutes, with 2 tomes, so 1 minute per tome. To get 4M MGP, you'll need 80 of those cards. At 30 tomes per card, total of 2400 tomes. That gives us 2400 minutes, or 40 hours. And I tell you 80+ hours, because for that 1 tome per minute, you need to find a group to farm, but also, that group has to fill, and then people have to go brb, and really, 1 tome per minute is more like peak efficiency, so I just doubled the amount of time, to give a number closer to reality

Don’t forget your gold saucer challenge log for extra mgp ( don’t do the mahjong one) & if you come up short, there is a “Make it Rain” Gold saucer event that usually happens in the summer/ fall where we get a 50% bonus on mgp rewards for Gates, mini-games, etc. Last… play the jumbo cactpot lottery and do the Fashion report for additional mgp every week.

No. The tomestones will pretty much become obsolete once the event ends.

Bard has an esuna style cleanse power, iirc

The mameshiba neckerchief was already available in 2020 so it's not conpletely exclusive and does have a chance of coming back

The hair style is different for each realm. I've sold multi of the modern legends for over 300k. Sometimes even over 400k. So no, I think 50 is fair. And usually the hair styles don't get affected to much. It may go down in price, but will go back up. Unlike fat cat which price got destroyed.

Comparing the rewards to last time is a bit of a pointless exercise, the last moogle tome event was specifically the 10th anniversary one, so extra good rewards was pretty expected. Combined with the weekly bonuses I'm expecting it'll just be a very chill event.

Um are you on NA servers? Because the marketboard prices you're referencing are crazy off. Modern Legend goes for 300k and I was seeing it over 500k before the event started. There was never a point where it was even close to reliably at 150k or even close to that. Antelope was also 1m along with Titania barding. Though its possible prices dipped hard at event launch and then went back up.

It's wierd for the first time i actually have everything in from the rewards. Don't know what to do.

The inventory this time around is definitely underwhelming. Hopefully you're correct about there being a second half to the event.

If you are farming exdeath solo, be a bard. Good DPS, and self esuna.

I bought my snowflake for 50k gil on Exodus one week ago. Prices go up and down.

Honestly, this treasure trove event is less for the current playerbase, and more for the incoming Xbox players, current players will be out and about doing activities in lower level zones and dungeons, which doesn't make the low level areas look as dead, while giving the Xbox players some neat little things to get their adventure started like a shiny mount or some glam. I expect part 2 of the Moogle treature trove that will probably happen a month before DT drops, will be where the newer items will appear.

Jolsn: Maybe this Mogpendium will stop people from spamming the same duties over and over for tomestones." Unfortunately not. That screenshot shows quite a few ARR dungeons that you can spam for tomestones, so we might be seeing the return of Castrum Blue Mage squads. ;p At least they removed alliance raids from the repeatable duties so yeah, maybe people won't bother with Crystal Tower anymore after seeing Sycrus Tower not on the repeatable list.

the legendary kamuy is def worth 30 tomes. shinryu ex is not soloable.

To veterans yes because we already have most of these items from previous event. The only items I can buy are the treasure maps. I was a bit disappointed there’s nothing that’s brand new than just repeats of the same rewards from 2-4 years past Moogle events

I find this event so annoying. Roulettes are already too boring for me
