As others have said, last boss knocks back everyone that attacks on a shielded side. Also, its always the flanks and rear. Front is always the safe spot.

Actually Calcabrina's Brace affects magic as well, not just physical. I learned this when a BLM in my group almost killed himself with the reflects. :P

You may want to add an annotation to calcabrina, directional parry for her affects magical attacks as well!

I love how easy this dungeon is if everyone does what they should, and how deadly it is if they mess up. I've wiped so many times on each of these bosses because people seem to want to ignore mechanics, but I guess thats how duty finder goes.

I loved the little Viking mobs. They have FF11 axe weapon skills and Taru-Taru animations =D

I'm glad Calcabrina stuck - for the most part - to the actual fight. FFIV is my favourite game ever, so it's a nice treat.

I like how he says Brace affects melee only when you can literally see in the video the BLM getting affected. Also, I've only ever seen the safe spot be at the front.

From what I've noticed on The Cause of Nightmares aka Calpa, from the second dollhouse on she targets the healer and tank. Also since the small dolls have no aggro table the tank should immediately provoke the boss cause it won't go straight for them

Happy you're wrong about her Brace ability, it's ALL attacks/spells get parried. So you should make an annotation in the video to fix this confusion. It's minor damage, but you should at least have all your facts right.

Mr. Happy I notice you seem to be spending more time on your AST lately. I've been maining AST since Heavensward launched and I was wondering if your opinion of it had changed recently, since the video you did comparing it to White Mage and Scholar I mean.

Calcabrina has a heavy hit too,a cleave..? She has 1 hitted all of my party members with it except the tank... And simultaneously scared us all shitless. Tank was in a doll at the time I think.

Hey happy already ran through this blind, and from what it seems like blm's and possibly other magic deeps get punished too if they attack from the wrong angle on the brace attack. I can still attack her however it seems that she throws an equal amount in power counter attack back at you. Still testing it though. Will Edit later with more details on whether or not it's important enough to adjust your angle as a magic deeps.

last boss also has a tank buster called 'knockout'.

I think you forgot "knockout" for one of Calcabrina's attacks.

Was hoping it was possible to make it easier to kill Calcabrina by alternating between Calcas and Brinas. Shame :(

it was pretty easy alright but trash comes with so much hp. Really week trash so healers who love to dps as well will be pleased.
