what's your opinion on taking an AST instead of a SCH or WHM?

SCHs are mean to me because I won't be their broil bitch. But on a serious note, AST's got a pretty strong and often underutilized toolkit and it's really hard to disregard things like a 10% damage up for everyone for 30 seconds at the start of a pull and it's fairly likely you'll be able to bring it out at least 3 times over the course of a run. Instant shields are great and Disable shits all over Virus too. Some people will still swear by a SCH but I'm pretty indifferent towards them -and probably also a little biased towards AST because it's my second favourite job after WHM-.

I tried WHM, and my friend mains one. It just seems... Well, it's not quite my jam, I guess. I really love SCH due to the micro-managing surprisingly enough, as it just feels so rewarding, at least thus far. I really want to try AST though, but special snowflakey as I am... I see a lot of those around. Ech...

Surprisingly fun game. You sit there, figuring you're going to grind for an hour or just lvl up once, but bam. Suddenly you got 10+ hours into it once again. Then again, playing as SCH and all, healing is actually quite fun to me in this game compared to other mmo's.

I wish there wasn't a sub fee, because I don't have a job!

this game looks way too complicated for me. I'll stick to r1 spam with the occasional roll

shame how SCH start to become slowly obsolete with all the AST buffs EVERY, SINGLE, PATCH :/ and wtf your static is running with 2 PLD's
