That is an unfortunate situation for those of you starting with the remake, the characters in the original, though still good, won't have a fraction of the screen time or character moments. I still recommend playing the original, just go in with the knowledge that it is a game from 1997.

The voice actress for Jessie Rasberry was absolutely fantastic she also voiced black cat in Marvel Spider-Man as well as Cassidy cage in Mortal Kombat 11 and among other things that's not who only voice acting very talented voice actress so yes I noticed that that in the first few scenes that she did such a fabulous job everyone fell in love with his character right from the stars and she was a fun character to have but she won't be in a second one unfortunately and that would be tragic but the story must go on his Q would say from Star Trek next Generation all Good Things Must come to an end

Call me crazy, but I think it has way more to do with the underlying Biggs/Jessie undertones. I think Wedge is always just the male friend archetype that gets the low down of his female friend's thoughts and knows that Jessie doesn't quite mean anything by her flirting with other guys because she really has her eyes on Biggs. Everyone else is just a distraction.

This scene proves Cloud is a boy in man's body he was in a coma since he was 16 woke up from the coma at 21 with an identity disorder problem and severe trauma. Mentally he's still 16 and it shows he doesn't handle things like a 21 year old would. Cloud underneath all that tsundere attitude and ego is still that insecure little boy who's a SOLDIER reject.

He experienced a lot of trauma and was carrying the fate of the world in his shoulders with the mind of a 16 year old. People are quick to judge Cloud's character and call him emo, generic and dramatic but again Cloud is a kid he was robbed of 5 years of his life and put in a tough position literally woke up to see his mentor/friend die in front of him, with new found abilities and carried a huge burden, no shit of course he's gonna act dramatic.

They made me liked Jessie in here. I knew what was gonna happen but they still got me.

They did SUCH A GOOD job with Jessie (and all the other characters) in the remake. From character(s) that I barely noticed 20+ years ago, to someone that I was genuinely sad about (and kinda crushed on) knowing her fate in the original.

“Psyche!” “That’s the wrong number!”

The worst part is , you don't get to see it happen

"hey, you know Tifa, right?" "This may not be any of my business, but are you guys close?"

Jessie is that kind of girl that is always looks cheerful, playful and outspoken in a social gatherings. She is not necessarily far more aggressive than anyone else but she just copes rejection and failures in that way, where people just thinks she's just playing around and wouldnt matter much if they do or dont what she asked of them. But definitely she hold interest in Cloud secretly

Oh squareenix, why do you have to do this, i havent finished the game but that's giving me awfully bad feeling already, oh Jessie, Widges,Biggs, I really like them :((

How ecstatic she gets when you say you'll think about it. Amazing.

Jesse also died in the first Final Fantasy 7 as well so it doesn't make a difference The Whispers or the outdoor time was trying to maintain time now I don't know why Bigg survived if that was going to be the case and wedge survived by accident cuz he went down to help Evacuate the people from the section 7 slums

Cloud's very serious tone when talking to Jessie as she clearly is crushing on him seems very similar to Ryo in Shenmue keeping his emotional distance from Nozomi as she deeply admires him while he solely focuses on finding Lan Di. Just an interesting similarity I noticed between some of the characters in these two very different game properties! 🤭🤭

Ah the moment I dub “The dating Sim choice crisis”

It's not about sleeping with her as Cloud is absolutely not into her. But pizza and a friend surely even he can't say no to. I mean he's slowly softening up which is a good thing in his case. While Jessie might have other intentions I'm sure if he says "no" she won't press further. Yes, the little hints from Jessie are clear, but it doesn't mean Cloud would go through. He's portrait as pure and innocent in the romance area, which is shown in a lot of japanese games. It's not OUR world, you know? with all the perversity and insatity that goes on this world this is a nice break. Sure, what you would do is absolutely up to you, but don't project your desires onto Cloud ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
