His voice actor is Max Mittelman. One of his most recent roles was that of Luxu, the sixth apprentice of the Master of Masters in Kingdom Hearts.

@@victoriasharpe1661 Yeah, I think the "gravelly" aspect of his voice is very fitting, as it could also be interpreted as a bit of a "purr" or "growl" leaking into his speech a bit. It's a pity we couldn't actually control him at all, but I completely understand why we couldn't (wouldn't make sense to give us a new character to control with only 2 chapters left). I have had an interesting thought involving Red & Cait Sith though, what if they just do away with Cait's "moogle doll" and Cait instead rides around on Red's back, and the two of them functionally count as a single character (this could be especially nice if the Remake surprises us with one or more new party members that we don't get in the original, such as if Reno, Rude, and/or Rufus end up helping us out at some point instead of being a constant villain [after all, Sephiroth is a danger to both the planet *and* Shinra, so Rufus may decide that dealing with Sephiroth is worth trying to achieve a "truce" or "alliance" with the party until he's been dealt with and putting any other hostilities on hold until Sephiroth is no longer a threat, so Rufus may send Reno and/or Rude....or possibly even Elena....along with us to help, or he may even join the party himself....I realize that's unlikely to actually happen, we're probably more likely to get someone like Zack as a surprise party member instead, but I still find it fun to wonder about what possibilities there could be for the Remake's future])?

Closest I've seen for the others is the win poses at the coliseum. I'm almost wanting them to rearrange events so we get that infamous Aeris Looking At The Highwind scene from the PSX loading screen at some point.

Yeah, when I originally saw that moment, it immediately hit me, like "Oh my goodness he's doing the pose!", yet I never hear anyone call it out in a video. I really don't think I'm above average at paying attention to detail, they must just not want to talk over the moment too much. I can respect that.

He is also the voice of the characters Adult Konohamaru from Boruto and of course Burton from Ninjala. Coincidentally enough, Cloud's VA is Burton's JP voice.

In my first playthrough of the original, I was so mad at Hojo that I could NOT call this poor guy by his experiment name, so I re-named him Mikhail so he would at least have a name and not a number. I still automatically think of him as Mikhail sometimes.

Red´s voice acting is simply perfect.

@@TOXTHEWOLVERINE To be fair, he'd already spent who knows how long as one of Hojo's "test subjects", and the party were literally the first truly friendly faces he'd encountered ever since his captivity began. I wouldn't blame him for being wary and on edge at first. Once he knows the party are people he can trust, he mellows out quite a bit and is quite a bit friendlier. Hell, just look at his more friendly interactions with Barret, like when they're both sitting in the back of that truck during the highway escape.

Judging how ff7 remake gives a lot of epic tear-jerking moments, I cannot wait how they will tell the story of red xiii's father. Will prepare a lot of tissues for that

Notice how aerith says child to nanaki, no one knows at this point of the og game that nanaki/red xiii is just a kid considering how long their species live.

The fact he's voiced by the same guy that did Ryuji in Persona 5 is baffling to me, like give him all the awards

@@CJusticeHappen21 So, that Hojo that just goes to lounge on the beach isn't the same douche who consistently uses people against their will for experiments like Cloud and Zack or creating SOLDIERs like Sephiroth? Honestly, Hojo's reasoning for trying to breed them together was pretty sound....though I agree that I don't think it would ....work. He essentially wanted to create a half-breed ancient that would have the lifespan of Nanaki's race. He does even mention trying to breed (which will likely equate to rape due to Aerith likely not wanting to participate) her with a member of SOLDIER.

@@MrAuthor3DS Correct! They're feliforma, despite looking more canid. I suspect people say "dog" for Nanaki because of the paw ratio and like of full mane (despite the rest of him being felid). It doesn't help that later in this game he refers to himself as a "lab rat dog." Oh, and also, his tongue is much more canid than felid.

My favorite character behind Cloud of course, god damn the voice just fits perfectly and the animation on his model is so fucking goooood, cannot wait till part 2 where we will hopefully get to play him like we did everyone else.

Nanaki and Cid were my favorites in the original....I'm gonna lose my shit when Cid is shown for the first time. I adore him.

The time it took her to recognize him in the first place... I'd say she isn't that familiar with the original. Guess she just couldn't remember correctly and mixed it up with Nier Automata's 9S.

My reaction was very similar when I first saw him, had REALLY been looking forward to seeing him in the Remake and since I took so long with the game and he's at the end, it was just so satisfying to finally see him :D And I took a lot of screenshots of him lol

Aereth was really good as well. I think your putting Tifas looks over her character though. Barret had alot of stand out scenes and was funny as shit. As well as talked alot of shit. They portrayed barret the best in this remake. I'm not saying any character was bad cause I think they were all excellent, even wedge who was probably the least liked character in the original.

This is a sincere question: How and why would you stream yourself playing? You are constantly talking while receiving permanent text messages and I've seen streamers talk over a cutscene and actually missing out on dialogue. How can somebody like that maintain immersion? Maybe it's just a multitasking thing which I'm not capable of, but I really don't understand the appeal of doing or watching it instead of playing the games myself.

To be fair, you don’t find Red until the very last quarter of the game, so it would’ve been pointless to make him playable if there wasn’t much time left to use him.

It's because they never actually made a moveset or anything of the sort for Nanaki. The only reason for that, is because we get him so late into the game that the dev team didn't feel it was worth the extra work. So they just made him into a guest party member instead.

He is kinda both. I know official sources refer to him as a feline but in the game he barks or is even called a dog at some point just like Barret calls him dog in the Remake. He also has claws like a canine.
