She wasn't following through with her own words about living how she wanted to live to have no regrets. She was trying to be selfless for Cloud, but honestly the biggest regrets come from not telling someone how you really feel about them. She hints at it telling him she's "grateful" and she "cherishes" their time together, but then builds a wall between them by denying how he feels about her. Cloud ain't gonna have that nonsense miss! No putting up walls when he's opened up to her so much already. He's coming for you, so you'll be at his side again....making myself tear up...

He would have Probably definitely hugged her. Which would be ironic because he hesitated to hug Tifa, but he didn’t even hesitate to try and grab Aerith.....

It happens after Aerith is taken by Shinra, and Cloud goes to Aerith's house with Tifa and Barret to see Marlene. He wanted to save Aerith but Emyra wanted him to just wait. He insisted he was going to save Aerith after this scene.

It's a little further after the scene when you go see Marlene. It's after you go to the secret lab under the Sector 7 slum.

This scene is actually a culmination of your affection points for Aerith vs Tifa. I tried to make the correct choices for both and I got this scene. Unfortunately, I am not 100% sure what are the correct choices. I haven't tried getting the Tifa scene yet.

To get it say "how much" when you first meet Aerith, then when in her town do all the quest in the town, when you fall in sewers check on her instead of Aerith and you will get this scene.

Do all sidequests for the girls and the choice in the sewers is the tie breaker. So choose Aerith there to get this scene.
