Mumbai is the original name .The town was settled around MUMBA DEVI mandir and hence the name. BRITISHERS wrong pronunciation made it Bombay. Same the way Thakor / Thakoor surname became Tagor😅 Rabindranath Tagore was Thakoor 😃 BTW I am proud Maharashtratrian Mumbaikar 🇮🇳😍

Television actors in India are not given the same importance and recognition as Film actors. Even though television has a very wide reach its actors are not allowed to break into Bollywood easily and there's a clear segregation between the two. Not a lot of them get invited to such events.

Mumbai was the actual name of the place. British found it difficult to pronounce in their colonial times so they started calling it Bombay n the trend followed. It was changed back to Mumbai to imply the end of British Era in everything.

I did the same "Yessss" instinctively together with Tabish when Aamna said no Dior didn't dress up the celebrities. Hahaha, it was funny and I was LOL. The same expression of us together!! Btw they did dress them up. Everyone, well most stayed in Taj! And many of my model friends and makeup artists did this show. It was a super proud moment :) Edit: also the red carpet was very spectacular. Many celebs were flown over from all around like Simone Ashley, Yara Shahidi, Bryan Yambao, Thai stars Nattawin and Phakphum, Jean Damas, and French actress Mathilde Warnier just to name a few, there were many many more. There were big distinguished celebrities and artists who the media maybe don't recognize as day-to-day faces and hence not covered, but the line-up and the guest list for Dior Fall 2023 in Mumbai was spectacular!

1. indian tv industry is considered not the 'it' crowd, Indian big designers don’t even dress them, so there’s no way a Dior show gets them 2. Mumbai because of Mumba Devi (mother deity) worshiped by original inhabitants, the koli community. Bombay was anglicised and has colonial roots, so the bhakts changed it 3. Every celeb was dressed by Dior. The list was very very exclusive and it wasn’t a Bollywood affair. In India, too much Bollywood screams attention and its left for the ambanis. iykyk 4. also every single person on camera in india has a stylist. aditi roy was styled by sanam ratansi 5. Farhan remarried sshibani dandekar, a VJ, IPL presenter etc after his div with adhuna bhambani 6. archies is a zoya akhtar film and not kJo. you even put up the poster!!

The only best dress ladies at NMACC were Zandya and GiGi. Bollywood actresses were looking ridiculous. Most of them don't know who to wear and how to wear evening gowns and or Indian dresses. forget about FUSION.

The problem with Aishwarya is that she has become too conscious post her pregnancy weight gain which she has not really been able to lose. She has been wearing loose clothes and hiding her heavy arms. She is still so beautiful and she need not hide her body. Just embrace it. That's Farhan's second wife Shibani Dandekar. He divorced his first wife Adhuna Bhabani with whom he has two daughters. And Tabesh is right. Bhumi is former assistant casting director at YRF. She was Shanoo Sharma's assistant. She featured in The Romantics docu series too. I hope you will review it some day on SH. 😅

Amitabh Bachchan didn't attend the gala because he was recuperating from an injury. Jaya Bachchan was most probably busy scolding paparazzi 😂😂. And yes, that was Farhan Akhtar's wife....he has remarried.

Tabesh, Nita Ambani was wearing a heritage Banarasi saree with golden thread work and not a Kanjivaram saree. She styled it with polki and emerald drop necklace.

Name was changed from bombay to Mumbai because Bombay was the name given by our colonizers who were British. Mumbai was original Indian name. Moreover name Mumabai is connected to a goddess in hinduism known as Mumbra Devi. So there's some religious agle as well. ❤

I’m an Indian And settled in UAE,I want to say MUMBAI is real name where British pronounced it’s continent for them as BOMBAY ;Same CULCUTTA FOR KOLKATA .MYSOOR FOR MYSURU BANGALORE FOR BANAGALURU so there was an announcement came on an year May be 2010 like that I don’t remember these cities would be not like British name before but OFFICIALLY IN THE OLD NAME OF INDIAN HISTORICAL ROUTE .Many more small cities in each state also changed their real name from the British name !! Hope it’s been clear 😅

Big fan of Aamna and find Tabish funny and cute and all good things- but I grievance and I maintain this one - that tab-ish doesn’t know or recognize dress materials - he called Rekha’s saree silk- it was a tissue ki sari! Similarly the first time I ever saw this show he called something very obviously non silk- a silk garment! Tabish needs to up his game on cloth recognition if he is hosting a fashion show where they discuss clothes… Also mumbai is named after mumba Devi temple- it’s original name before Britishers named it Bombay! Everyone who loves Bombay likes to still secretly call it Bombay- i for one quite openly do- but I respect that there was some sentiment about getting rid of the name Britishers gave it! In any case - always Bombay for me…

Names are to be changed. In Mumbai there is old Mumba Devi temple.

Zandaya was looking so Yukh, so was Suhana. Former destroyed the elegance of Saree in the name making it Contemporary while the later's saree should be called "Vulgar Saree". There was a time when blouses like that of Suhana's were worn on item song and now they are wearing it as a symbol of culture. Ironic!
