I See Fire is one of the most metal non metal songs out there, because pretty much every metalhead who is a Tolkien fan knows it and likes it, haha. Speaking of livestream shows, Epica's Omega Alive, once an official release comes out , and I'm pretty sure it will, is a must see. Pyros, lightning, stage props, the band themselves, were simply spectacular. Also check out Dark Side of The Moon cover of GOT's Jenny of Oldstones, one of Melissa Bony's projects along with members of Feuerschwanz and Amaranthe.

What i love about the german metal scene is, that it seems they all know each other and somewhat like each other. It is not uncommon for bands during a festival join othere bands for a song or two and sing it together. Even in projects you see some artists popping up in coops with other bands. I dont know if this is only in the german scene, but here i noticed the most and i think it is incredible.

I found this channel propably due to watching other Feuerschwanz stuff on KZread. But I dig the reaction style, with not only seeing enjoyment in music, but having background information that is researched, that I frankly don't know too much about. Now, to the topic of this band. Spoiler: I am german and I love the band. I still feel like they are underrated, although the last album certainly did pretty well. And it kinda speaks volumes about the quality of stuff they produce if you already love them, since they are very good musicians. They certainly evolved over the years, but considering one factor alot of fans propably also like about them (at least I do), is the songtexts. Alot of them are just fun. And thats an important thing to me, if I watch a movie, show, or listen to music, I mostly want to have a good time. And they not only produce great music, but also have texts that are often just fun, entertaining stuff. (Thats one different to Saltatio Mortis. I also quite like them, but they have songs with clear political undertone. And more often than not, I just don't want to think about that stuff if I want to relax with some music. So I prefer their songs that are just entertaining and fun as well). Feuerschwanz also has some songs with wordplay, which for me is also pretty damn funny. You already said that you feel like they like to enjoy themselfs, and the music clearly shows it. They also said that if they do a new album they just think about what they want to do. And so far, I think the results speak for themselfs.

He has quickly become one of my favorite vocalists, and I am SO excited to see/hear him in less than two weeks with his other band, dArtagnan, at a local medieval event. And that's really just the start of the season, I WILL see Feuerschwanz this year as well, one way or another😁 PS: I just sent the original video and this reaction to my bass-playing friend , thought he'd have fun seeing you nerd out about my favorite band and their gear. Hey Tank, Some guys and I mentioned it before when we commented your reactions of Feuerschwanz's Songs. Please react to Bens other band dArtagnan, too. It's less Metal but more Medieval-Folk mixed with a slight amount of German Schlager but you'll enjoy it. To get into the Band I would recommend Wallenstein or C'est la vie or Feste Feiern If you want more Schlager vibes you schould listen to In jener Nacht or Farewell feat. Patti Gurdy And the main attraction definetly is Kaufmann und Maid with what I would call the German Medieval Folk Allstars (You'll recognize most of 'em). The song was initiated for comedy reasons by the German Pop singer Sasha (you might know him from his Hypa Hxpa Version) for a German TV show.

I'm so glad you did your research on firedancers! A couple years back I was wanting to get into it but just didn't have the time to dedicate, or more importantly a safe space to practice. Something that I noticed, that - I mean maybe I'm wrong, I _hope_ I'm wrong - that feels a bit off, it feels like they don't have as much passion in the song as I was expecting. It's almost like not having a live audience just dampens their enthusiasm. And I'm not doubting at all that they're giving their all in this performance, but even in the Olympics it's been proven that people who are used to having that extra motivation of a crowd they can see and hear, that without that live audience or interaction they just do not perform as well as they might when they do have a live audience. I mean no disrespect, and it's definitely still an outstanding performance, and I hope I'm wrong. That's just something I felt like I was noticing in their body language and energy levels. Enjoyed the "hoots!" at the end, though based on the comments in this video that does hit different. - Jamie

There are some extras on the Blurays/DVDs of their new live album, and they say that it is indeed very weird performing on stage without an audience. But they also say that they coped with it better in this (their second) online concert than in their first one from the summer of 2020. (The first online concert, which was crowd-funded, is still up on the Napalm Records KZread channel if anyone is interested, ca. 150 minutes total length, about 90 of that is the actual concert; the rest is a countdown at the beginning and some footage at the end so viewers of the premiere could chat with the band. That concert is also on the Blurays and DVDs.)

Speaking of Hansi and Blind Guardian, have you seen their stuff from Wacken Online last year? There are three songs on YT, one of which is a live debut, and basically what I'm saying is please watch it in its entirety. :D

You can't imagine Hansi doing something like this? You do know, that Blind Guardian performed in 2 different Video Games? kzread.info/dash/bejne/fK2ap5duk8LAmqw.html (Sacred Worlds in Sacred 2) and kzread.info/dash/bejne/eGmMma-Rlq_edco.html (Children of the Smith for The Dwarves). So I would guess that they're laid back enough to work with Feuerschwanz on an Ed Sheeran Cover. Btw. In Extremo also performed in a german Video Game kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y3mWycykYNnaqrw.html (Herr Mannelig in Gothic) On a similiar Note, the other big german Medieval Rock Band Schandmaul performed "Echter Wahrer Held" for the german Movie "Mara und der Feuerbringer" (kzread.info/dash/bejne/gpWFr5SQY5nFlKQ.html the original Version of the Song with Music Video | kzread.info/dash/bejne/lWugzqerhKjRp5c.html the Film Version without a Video). I was totally missing video coverage of the guitarists and basist. They were good, I would like to see their work. It is not even easy to see how many they are. Then there is a guy playing flute. Is that the first singer? Also, the lute guy? How many are they? Never have seen this band before, this video do not show the band well. Its a cool video though.

I really love when you brake down the production in your reactions! As for a new band, I would really recommend checking out "The Warning". They are a rock band from Mexico and they are about to release their 3rd album and their first one signed to a record label. They just release a live session for their song Choke, the first single of the new album. I can really recommend it. kzread.info/dash/bejne/lqyttNCmXaqYgLQ.html

I like Ed Sheeran but I've never been a big fan of this song in particular. Like, it's fine in a vacuum but I feel like within the context of the movie it was written for it doesn't seem to hit the tone. It just doesn't feel appropriate to the topic as a whole, it's too nostalgic and too thoughtful for what is essentially an oath to see things through to the end, even if it kills you.
